Once you have completed the entire quest for the Pieces of the Triforce, they will magically meld together, making you the new holder of the Triforce of Courage – so get gathering! This handy guide should help you out a bit.

For a map showing the precise locations of the Triforce pieces, make sure to take a look at our Ultimate Sea Chart.
Triforce Shard 1
- Chart found on Islet of Steel
- Shard found on Greatfish Isle
To obtain your very first piece of the Triforce of Courage, sail off to the Islet of Steel to search for the chart. Once there, destroy the steel-plated ship that is blocking your way and then climb in. This will then lead you to a small place with a Wind Marking on the floor. Stand on the marking and play the Wind’s Requiem to reveal the chest where the first Triforce Chart is hidden. Once you have obtained the chart, sail to Greatfish Isle and go near the Northern coast to find the shard.
Triforce Shard 2
- Chart found on Private Oasis
- Shard found on Gale Isle
To find the second chart that will lead to the Triforce piece you must sail away to your Cabana House in the Private Oasis. If you have not yet obtained the deed to the Cabana, this is what you must do. Speak to Miss Marie, the schoolteacher on Windfall Island, she will explain to you that there are four boys that refuse to attend class and are part of a gang. Speak to these boys and play hide and seek with them so they will talk to you. Once you have completed the mini-game, return to Miss Marie and give her twenty Joy Pendants, as she loves jewelry. Once she receives all twenty, she will hand over the Cabana Deed, a new house on a southern isle called the Private Oasis. Once at your newly-acquired house, pull out your Grappling Hook and aim at the ceiling bar to open a passageway to the basement. Go through the giant maze until you reach the Triforce Chart. You can then sail to Gale Isle and retrieve the piece from the Northeastern coast.
Triforce Shard 3
- Chart found on Bird’s Peak Rock
- Shard found on Stone Watcher Island
To obtain the third Triforce Chart, sail all the way to Bird’s Peak Rock and pull out your Hero’s Bow. Aim upward and destroy all the parched and flying Kagorocs all over the island, for it is important you take out every single one. Once you are sure none are looming over the island, use a Hyoi Pear to gain control of a Seagull. Fly all the way up to the top of the summits and touch all five crystal switches to open up a small door on the island. Return control to Link and enter the door. Soon inside you will find the third chart and will be able to move on to Stone Watcher Island where you will find the next Triforce piece.
Triforce Shard 4
- Chart found on Ghost Ship
- Shard found on Outset Island
The fourth chart that leads to a piece of the Triforce is located on the infamous Ghost Ship. Depending on what type of moon it is, the Ghost Ship can be in completely different parts of the sea. Travel to Diamond Steppe Island and use the Hookshot to climb to the top of the Island. Drop into the hole and it will take you into a strange cavern where you must go through a Warp Pot maze in order to find the Ghost Ship Chart! This new chart will let you locate the Ghost Ship easily, and once you have sailed to the spot where it is sailing, simply float inside the hole in the ship. Defeat all the enemies inside the Ghost Ship to finally find the Triforce Chart leading to the shard. Surprisingly, this piece of the Triforce is found on the Northern shore of Outset Island, your true home.
Triforce Shard 5
- Chart found on Cliff Plateau Isles
- Shard found on Needle Rock Isle
This fifth Triforce Chart is not too hard to obtain, but you will have to succumb to some mild violence. Swiftly travel to Needle Rock Isle where you will find a few pirate ships ready to blast you with their canons. Destroy the golden ship with your Bomb-Canon to reveal a treasure sunken in the ocean. Use your Grappling Hook to recover the chest which holds the Triforce Chart. You must then sail to the Northeast shores of the Cliff Plateau Isles to recover the Triforce Piece.
Triforce Shard 6
- Chart found on Outset Island
- Shard found on Southern Triangle Island
To find the sixth Triforce Chart, sail off to Outset Island, for that is your next destination. Climb all the way to the top of the island near the entrance of the forest. Go right from the broken bridge and stand on the rock facing West. Make sure you adjust the wind to blow to the West. Jump off and ride the currents with a Deku Leaf. Soar until you come to a ledge around the right base of the island and lift the gigantic boulder to reveal a hole, jump in and get your sword ready! This Labyrinth is known to some as “The Bottomless Cavern”, so keep slashing the herds of enemies until your finally reach the Triforce Chart. The shard is located directly off the Northern coast of Southern Triangle Island.
Triforce Shard 7
- Chart found on Stone Watcher Island
- Shard found on Seven-Star Isles
This will be another short search for the Triforce Chart as it resides on the same isle as the third shard did, Stone Watcher Island. Travel there once again and lift the boulder on top of the island. Fall down the hole and defeat the series of enemies to reveal the chest with the seventh Triforce Chart inside. Once you have the chart, the Triforce Shard is located on the Northern coast of Seven-Star Isles.
Triforce Shard 8
- Chart found on Overlook Island
- Shard found on Two-Eye Reef
The final chart that reveals the whereabouts to the last shard of the Triforce of Courage can be obtained at Overlook Island. Sail to the small island and Hookshot your way all the way to the top, where you will find a hole for Link to jump into. Defeat all the enemies in the multi-roomed cave to unlock the door that leads to the last Triforce Chart you will obtain. The last shard is inside the Two-Eye Reef, but be careful, you must destroy all the pirate ships that will be trying to knock you off of your vessel before you can safely uncover the last piece.
And that’s it! You’ve got ‘em all if you followed this page right. Congratulations!
