Link
Link is the young boy that will bring hope across the seas. He resides on a small island named Outset and lives with his grandmother and his younger sister, Aryll. Link is simply a young lad that has a rather
normal life with his family and friends on the island. Little does he know that he is about to embark on a grand turn of events that will surely lead to a magic journey to save the Great Sea.
Aryll
Little Aryll is the younger sister of Link, and she lives together with him and their grandmother on a peaceful isle called Outset Island. She adores Link very much and looks up to him a great deal. On her big brother’s birthday, Aryll was kidnapped by a big monstrous bird and is being held captive in the Forsaken Fortress.
Tetra
This pretty young girl is actually the captain of a pirate ship, and takes after her mother to lead the crew. Tetra is a very strong character and does not like many to help her with anything. When Tetra meets up with Link, she agrees to let him come aboard, as he did save her from a few monsters in the forest. Tetra has always wondered why she was put on this world and yearns to find her destiny.
The King of Red Lions
The King of Red Lions is a sailboat which Link uses when traveling between the islands of the Great Sea. Even though a boat, he has a wise and a tremendously courageous personality at the same
time. He has been around for many years, and speaks the ancient Hylian language and communicates with the gods. The King of Red Lions is said to have some sort of connection with the Royal Family of Hyrule.
Ganon
The same Ganon that the Hero of Time destroyed and sealed in the Sacred Realm has broken free and yearns to destroy all. Ganon once took over the lost kingdom of Hyrule and betrayed the king, wreaking havoc on all who opposed him. Ganon holds the Triforce of Power, making him the deadliest being in the land. After Ganon broke free, he has made his keep up in the Forbidden Fortress, and searches for a way to return to the lost kingdom and make it his own. Ganon’s power is not at its full potential, but it is slowly rising.
Princess Zelda
This beautiful young princess is the true successor to the throne of Hyrule, the ancient forgotten kingdom. Zelda has great telepathic powers and holds the Triforce of Wisdom within her. The princess is very kind and feels despair for Link as all of the world’s hope lies in his hands. Zelda is the key to Ganon’s plan and must be kept a secret from him.
The King of Hyrule
King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule was the ruler of the ancient kingdom of Hyrule, washed away all those years ago. This King was the greatest king Hyrule had ever had, and had desperately tried to banish Ganon out of the kingdom. The king has many regrets and searches for the one courageous lad that will search out Ganon and destroy him.
Valoo
The Great Deku Tree
The Great Deku Tree is the God of Earth and protects the Forest Haven and all around it. The Deku Tree looks after the forest kin known as the Koroks, and produces seeds for them to spread across the world every year. The Great Deku Tree is fluent in both Hylian and modern tongue, and knows much of the legend of the Hero and searches for the answer to stop evil.
Jabun
The Great Jabun is the God of the Sea and is a noble yet arrogant fellow that resides on Greatfish Isle. Jabun speaks the language of Ancient Hyrule so very few can understand his words, however, he is one of the wisest beings in the Great Sea. Link will be aided greatly by Jabun and will obtain a valuable artifact which is the key to blocking Ganon’s magic.
Medli
Medli is a sweet girl that has grown up on Dragon Roost Island and has taken care of the Great Valoo as his new attendant. Her mother trained her well to speak some Hylian and communicate with the god of the sky. Medli has much faith in Link and is the key to restoring a great power that will stop evil. She carries with her a sacred harp, passed down from her bloodline, that she believes gives her strength.
Makar
Makar is a youthful and talented member of the Korok tribe and conducts them in their ceremony every year. Makar is known for getting into mischief and must be saved by Link early in his adventure. The Great Deku Tree knows that little Makar has greater ambitions and must fulfill his destiny to aid the Hero.
Laruto
This young woman is the Princess and Sage from the extinct Zora race. Laruto was named after a beautiful woman named Ruto, who was the wise Sage of Water. Laruto has served as the Sage of the Earth and has prayed in the Earth Temple for years. Recently, Ganon’s magic has invaded the temple and destroyed her, leaving only her spirit.
Fado
Fado is a young lad who belongs to the extinct Kokiri race. Is a descendant of a young Kokiri named Mido and has served as the Sage of Wind. Fado has long followed after the great Saria, Sage of the Forest, and has been praying inside the Wind Temple for many years. However, Ganon has destroyed him and all that remains is his ongoing spirit.
Fishman
Fishman is a wise and witty creature that has many brothers across the Great Sea. Fishman knows much about the sea and will give Link many tips and words of knowledge about everything. This wise fish is also a great calligrapher and will paint portions of the Sea Chart for Link, but he will require a small dinner.
Zephos
Zephos is the wise and kind God of the Wind and has roamed his home, Dragon Roost Island for years watching over the wind. Zephos has longed for the new Waker of the Winds and has much to teach him. His brother, Cyclos, has been awfully bitter after his shrine was broken and has betrayed his brother. Zephos will teach Link a melody that will gain him control over the wind.
Cyclos
Cyclos is Zephos’ long lost brother, and a disgrace to his family. Cyclos used to be as kind and wise as his older brother, but once he got angry from his broken shrine, he dedicated his life to control the cyclones of the sea and wreak havoc on all who encountered him. Many say that if one could harness the power of Cyclos’ magic, there would be no telling how useful cyclones could be.
The Pirates
This highly-trained gang of pirates is under the command of Tetra. The pirates are a rather spirited bunch, as most of them rely on their leader to tell them what to do. Some have brutal
strength, while others rely on their smarts to survive the Great Sea. Their mission is to recover a legendary treasure that rests beneath the ocean.

Although she appears to be a lonesome child, she is really the most powerful fairy that has ever roamed the land. She holds the greatest power of all fairies, and stays hidden on Mother and Child Islands, waiting for the Hero to seek her out. The Queen controls all fairies from her magic cove and wishes to help all beings of the land.

Tingle and the Fairies
The odd and rather mysterious fairies of Ting Island live together in a peaceful environment. The green one, Tingle, is a master calligrapher and can decipher maps at great speed. He is said to be a descendant of the legendary green fairy that aided the Hero of Time. His friends, Ankle, Knuckles and David Jr. are also quite odd, and have a little mystery to each of their lives.

This is Link and Aryll’s kind and loving grandmother. She is a wise and friendly old woman and is the first to tell Link the legend of the Hero of Time. Grandma takes good care of the children and makes a very special soup for them when they behave. Over everything else, she wishes Link to live a peaceful life.
Sturgeon
Orca
This man who people call Orca, lives with his brother Sturgeon in a two story house on Outset Island. He resides on the first floor and is an accomplished swordsman; and quite possibly, the only man left with training and knowledge of legendary fighting techniques. Orca instructs Link early on in his adventure and teaches him the ways of the sword.

Komali
Prince Komali is the future leader of the Rito Tribe and son of the Chieftain. Komali has a horrible lack of courage, due to some experiences he had with the Great Valoo. Lately, the God of the Sky has been acting strange, and so, Komali is too afraid to receive his wings. He holds onto a small orb called Din’s Pearl to give him courage and calls it his own.
The Koroks
The Koroks live for one sole purpose, to spread seeds created by the Great Deku Tree across the sea and grow many forests to inhabit the land. Every year they hold this sacred ceremony and praise the Great Deku Tree for his wisdom and guidance. Their leader, Makar, conducts them in song during the ceremony.

This rather odd fellow lives on Windfall Island and is dedicated to his humble business trade. Although his business is not exactly booming, he runs a local auction during the night that holds many
treasures. The auction has become quite popular, but he must rely on Link’s aid to set his trade business into motion.
Maggie and Father
This father and daughter couple are rather destitute and have run completely out of money and resources. They live on Windfall Island and are having some tough times; for, Maggie is kidnapped and taken to the Forsaken Fortress. Her father tells her story to the whole town in hopes that she will be found.
Millie and Father
Millie is a very pretty girl who lives with her father in the two-story mansion on Windfall Island. Their lifestyle is a luxurious and have virtually no worries until just recently.
Millie is also kidnapped and taken to the Forsaken Fortress. Her father weeps constantly and offers a reward of unlimited proportions to save her.
Mrs. Marie
This woman is the very pretty schoolteacher of Windfall Island. Although many other women gossip about her intentions, Mrs. Marie is a very kind and capable teacher. A few of her students, however, never attend class, and she worries for them. Mrs. Marie has a great weakness for jewellery, however, as she says that it brings her much joy.
Doc Bandam
Doc Bandam is the brilliant owner of the Potion Shop on Windfall Island. He applies his keen intellect into making recovery medicine for anyone who is in need. He is known to harness the
power of Chu Jelly and loves his work. He is always looking for people to donate special jelly to his shop so he can research new potions.
Salvatore
Salvatore is a very lethargic person, as he does not exactly love his work. He runs a game house on Windfall Island and tries to put much enthusiasm into his work, but mostly fails. He offers prizes for those who beat his high score, but still the game is not the talk of the town. Some say he runs another game far away from Windfall Island.

Carlov and Manny
The great sculptor, Carlov works in a very hidden vault sealed by the Forest Haven. Within this vault lies the famous Nintendo Gallery, where he makes brilliant figurines based on conception pictographs. If someone were to submit a color pictograph of great quality, Carlov would be able to sculpt a figuring based off the pictograph in only one day! His assistant, Manny, works with him to fulfill his dream of becoming the greatest Nintendo fan ever. Although Manny just received his membership, he is no stranger to the gallery, for he can help you in many ways during your many figurine hunts.





Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland was released only in Japan and Europe, never making it to the USA due to lackluster sales. Surprisingly, the game was well-received among those who did play and review the game. You play as Tingle, a 35-year-old (and single) man lost in the world. Guided by the mysterious figure Uncle Rupee, Tingle fills a mystical spring with money and gain access to the wonderful Rupeeland, a paradise where nobody has to work. Along the way, hire body guards to protect Tingle – but from what? All may not be as it seems in Tingle’s quest for monetary gain, and Rupeeland just might not be so rosy after all...
