It holds items like hearts, rupees, ect. You don'e need it to advance, but you do need your sword to open it.

Please email me if you can help, [blueseptember@gmail.com]. I am in the Forbidden Fortress (?) and I killed a rat with a barrel. After the dark smoke vanished, a black circle appeared and it flashes three different symbols on it. I can't pick up the item, nor can I attack it, as I haven't retrieved my sword yet. I don't see the item in the list above and I'm really confused as to what it is. Any help would be appreciated! — harold

I've recently had an debate with my friend about the official color of the master sword handle. She states it's purple but i think it's blue and most of the pictures on this site and many others support that, so i say I'm right
