A very young and talented member of the Kokiri tribe. He is very unusual for a Kokiri simply because of his unusual amount of courage, strength, and also because he does not have a fairy companion. Some say Link doesn’t even look like a Kokiri. Link is ten years old and is best friends with a young girl named Saria. Once Link is summoned by the Great Deku Tree, a sprite called Navi accompanies him for his great adventure.

 

Adult Link

 


Handsome Link at the age of seventeen. Link now wields the legendary blade, the Master Sword. His skills are very toned, as he is determined to lift the evil veil that now encompasses Hyrule. Link has lost the ability to use some of his items and weapons when he is older, but he has also gained new talents such as archery and horseback riding. Link is now forced to live in a ruined and depleted land of Hyrule, and searches for the Princess.

 

Young Princess Zelda

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


A pretty young princess that is heir to the throne of Hyrule. Zelda is ten years old, born the same year as Link. This young girl has very strong telepathic abilities. Unable to control these skills properly, she often has dreams which speak of the future. She meets Link in the courtyard and plots with him to stop the forces of evil. She even shows Link the man who would gain untold power and take over Hyrule.

A simply beautiful woman with strong wisdom and magic abilities. Zelda is at the age of seventeen and has learned to hide from the forces of evil with her magic through Sheikah magic. The princess has run away from her castle as it has been completely destroyed and replaced with a massive fortress of terror. She must wait for Link to save Hyrule before she can meet him.

 

Ganondorf

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Every hundred years a man is born of the Gerudo tribe and becomes the King of Thieves. This person is that man. Ganondorf is a well accomplished man with evil intentions; seeking to learn the way of the Triforce and gain its power. His swordsmanship skills are simply astonishing and he holds great power within him. Ganondorf has plotted to overthrow Hyrule and has become a powerful menace, he must be stopped.

 

Navi

 


Link’s first and true companion and guardian fairy. Navi is sent to Link by the Great Deku Tree to aid him on his quest. Navi has magical powers and can see things that Link cannot. She accompanies Link as he journeys to the ends of Hyrule and back again. She gives Link hints and tips and sometimes, information on enemies.

 

The Great Deku Tree

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


The guardian of the Forest and keeper of the peace. The Deku Tree has been around for ages and has seen life, destruction and chaos. The Deku Tree has called upon Link to restore order to Hyrule, and has sent him to collect three spiritual stones. Recently, this great tree has been infected by Ganondorf and will die soon.

 

Kaepora Gaebora

 


A wise sage that roams the skies of Hyrule. Although his appearance makes him seem harmless, this owl knows more than anyone in Hyrule. He will often aid Link in his quest and guide him in the path to defeat evil. Who he really is or why he is helping Link is a complete mystery.

 

Talon

 


Talon is a simple man who is in charge of Lon Lon Ranch. Although he keeps the ranch in good condition, he is a VERY heavy and long sleeper (read: lazy). Sometimes it would even take a rooster to his ear to wake him up. He has a lovely and beautiful daughter, named Malon, who he entrusts his finest horse, Epona.

Daughter of Talon and a wonderful singer. Malon is a sweet and lovely girl who takes care of duties at her father’s ranch. Malon trains a gallant horse named Epona and often travels to Hyrule Castle Market to run errands for her father. Malon absolutely adores Link. She teaches Link a special song, which can later be used to obtain a faithful and swift steed.

Ingo is a rather bitter person who works for Talon at his ranch. Ingo complains that while Talon is sleeping, he does all the work that needs to be done. Some say that Ingo has rather evil intentions and should not be trusted by anyone. He has a weak point though, gambling for money; betting on races on which he himself takes part in.

A stunning and well-trained horse who lives at Lon Lon ranch. Epona is loved by people who know and can play her song. When her song is played, an overwhelming amount of Love is shown towards the person who plays it. Epona loves Malon tremendously and lives with her at the ranch.

 

Sheik

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


A mysterious warrior with a great wisdom and strength. He is one of the last remainders of the legendary Sheikah tribe who protect the royal family of Hyrule. Sheik helps Link along his quest while he never reveals who he is and why he is aiding Link. His speed and focus make him a very powerful ally in lifting the evil looming over Hyrule.

 

Mido

 


Mido is the frightful and rather rude leader of the Kokiri tribe. He has always despised Link ever since they have met, and often doesn’t include him in activities. Mido never lets anyone slip by him and lives alone in his house stationed by the Great Deku Tree.

 

King Zora

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


The leader of all the Zora people, and father to the Princess Ruto. King Zora is very large in size and is often too big to do anything. He sits on his thrown that guards the great Jabu-Jabu, the giant fish that the Zora’s consider their God. The King is always willing to help people and it reflects in his young daughter.

 

Rauru

 


The most powerful and wise being in all of Hyrule. Rauru has led the Chamber of Sages for many centuries, guarding the greatest treasure of all, the Triforce. Rauru has been inside the Sacred Realm waiting for the chosen one to pull the Master Sword and save Hyrule. He may not have to wait much longer.

 

Saria

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Saria is Link’s dearest friend in Kokiri Village. She has loved Link ever since they met even when other villagers thought of him as an outcast. Saria plays the Ocarina and has a secret hiding place in the Lost Woods called the Sacred Forest Meadow. She often goes there when she wants to escape from life and reflect. Later, she awakens as the Forest Sage and helps Link on his quest.

 

Darunia

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Darunia is the almighty leader of the Gorons. His colossal strength is reflected upon his great size. Darunia has his own chamber in Goron City and is often troubled by the things that befall the Goron race. Darunia is very fond of a certain song that makes him dance. Later, he awakens as the Fire Sage and helps Link on his quest.

 

Young Princess Ruto

 


A young girl that is the daughter of King Zora. She is very energetic and takes an extreme liking for Link and even says she will marry him. She loves living in Zora’s Domain and is very kind to all the people who live there. At first, she may seem a tad immature, but bear with it, Link needs her.

 

Adult Princess Ruto

 


As Ruto has grown up, so has her maturity and beauty. Ruto is now more beautiful and mature as ever. She doesn’t see Zora’s Domain much anymore and is greatly worried for the fate of Hyrule. She still aspires to marry Link someday, but realizes that some things are more important, as she awakens as the Water Sage and helps Link on his quest.

 

Impa

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Impa is Princess Zelda’s nursemaid and one of the last survivors of the Sheikah race. She is a great asset to the royal family as she is talented in martial arts and has sworn to protect the Princess. She resides in her hometown, Kakariko Village. Later, she awakens as the Shadow Sage and helps Link on his quest.

 

Nabooru

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


Nabooru is the rather beautiful Gerudo thief and the leader of the tribe in Ganondorf’s absence. She is quite the mastermind behind all the Gerudo’s actions and lives deep within the valley, near the desert. Some say that her mark on her for head, as well as Ganondorf’s, signify great esteemed power. Later, she awakens as the Spirit Sage and helps Link on his quest.

 

Kokiri Tribe

 


The green-dressed elf like people that reside deep in the forest. The Kokiri are guarded by the Great Deku Tree and consider him their guardian. They are rather peaceful people as they never grow old and cannot leave the forest, or they will die. The Kokiri have been nicknamed the “Children of the Forest”.

 

Goron Tribe

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


The Gorons are a very happy race that value brotherhood. They reside deep within Death Mountain in a self built city. They eat rocks to survive and consider them a delicacy. They have enormous strength and take care of their special crop, the Bomb Flower.

 

Zora Tribe

 


The aquatic fish-like people that reside deep underwater in a cavern called Zora’s Domain. They Zora Race have a great contribution to Hyrule since they do not believe in war, nor do they communicate with much of Hyrule. There resting place is well hidden and cannot be entered unless the person willing to enter it is part of the Royal Family.

 

Gerudo Tribe

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 


The Gerudos are the outcasts of Hyrule. The reside deep within the desert in a place called Gerudo Valley. The entire tribe is comprised of women except for the one born male every hundred years. They are incredibly agile and skilled in fighting, and can get themselves out of anything. Don’t expect to get near them without a Gerudo Membership Card.
