Level Four: Zora River Target Practice

Strategy

Enemies: none
Time allowed: 60 seconds

For this level you will be at Zoras’ Domain. In front of you is a large waterfall, and on both sides of it are two smaller waterfalls. As you start head towards the large waterfall, zoom in to the right side of it and shoot the scarecrow (eight times in torso, then head). When you’re fully in front of the large waterfall, the starting whistle will blow and the round will begin. When the targets are falling down the waterfall, remember that you cannot shoot the ones behind the water. The first target will fall down, followed by a group of five more, then another group of five. Once those are passed, three in a row will come down the center. Only hit the middle one, as the other two are blue X targets and will cost you points. As soon as those three have passed, two more will appear on both sides of the screen – the one on the right being a special target. The ending whistle will now blow, and that round is now over. It’s on to the next area.

You will now be heading to the left of the waterfall, and end up on the left side of the first small waterfall you pass. When you arrive, shoot the jars to the left and the scarecrow in the middle. Here the targets will be moving in the background from left to right, right to left, and will also come down the waterfall off to the right of the screen. When the whistle blows, the targets will start appearing. The targets will appear in this order:

  • Background
    • Left to right: Normal, Normal
    • Right to left: Normal
  • Waterfall: Normal
  • Background:
    • Left to right: Normal, Normal, Normal
    • Right to left: Special
  • Waterfall: Normal, Normal
  • Background
    • Left to right: Normal, Normal, Special
    • Right to left: Normal, Normal, Normal
  • Waterfall: Normal, Normal

The whistle will blow, and it’s on to the last area.

You will now be taken to the top of the large waterfall. For this area, the targets will appear in rows of three. It is very important that you remember here that you cannot shoot the targets while they are on the other side of the water. When the whistle blows, the targets will start flowing down from the top.

Here is the order in which they will come (remember – they will be in rows of three!):

  • Normal, Special, Normal
  • Special, Blue X, Special
  • Blue X, Special, Blue X
  • Special, Normal, Special
  • Blue X, Blue X, blue X
  • Special, Special, Special
  • Blue X, Normal, Blue X
  • Special, Blue X, Special
  • Blue X, Special, blue X

If you manage to get all the targets and have time left over, you will receive bonus points.

Defender Level: Hyrule Castle

Enemies: Stalfos, Keeses
Time allowed: 60 seconds

For this level, you will be at the Hyrule Castle graveyard and in third person. Keep a good eye on your radar – it will be your best friend here. When you arrive, three Stalfos will appear in front of you. Shoot them, then it’s on to the Keese killing spree. There are approximately eight groups of bats flying around everywhere – behind the trees, rising out of the graves, on the walls, and there’s a group or two that will come from behind the castle walls – so be sure to keep a close watch on your radar. Don’t let the Keese get to close too you because they will attack. There are also three glowing green Keese flying around that will upgrade your crossbow, so shoot those whenever you see them. Around the 30 second mark two Stalfos will appear between two trees and in front of a gate, so keep an eye out for those. If you manage to kill all the Keese before time is up, you will receive bonus points – but the round will not be over. Instead, Stalfos will just keep popping out of the ground. Keep shooting those until the ending whistle blows, then the round will be over.

Ranger Level: Skulltule Forest

Enemies: Skulltula, Deku Baba
Time allowed: 90 seconds

For this level you will be in the Faron Woods, and your goal is to kill all 18 Skulltulas within the time limit. You’re given a lot of time to kill so few enemies, so there should be no reason why you can’t kill them all. If you’ve played Halo before, you’ll notice how very similar this level is to that. As soon as the level starts, you will see on your radar that the Skulltulas here are basically clustered up together in a small group. Just head towards where the radar shows you and kill them as you see them. It takes to shots to kill them, and the ones in the trees will come down and attack you, so watch out for them. The Skulltulas are everywhere – on the ground, in the trees, and on the walls. There are also Deku Babas here, so watch out for them. If you kill all the Skulltulas, you will get a bonus. Once you have killed all the Skulltulas, you should have a good chunk of time left, so just go around shooting the jars and skulls laying around, along with the Deku Babas. Once your time is up, the level will end.
