Level Two: Goron Target Practice

Strategy

Enemies: none
Time allowed: 60 seconds

When you start out, you will be inside this cave-like dwelling on a top ledge overlooking basically everything. To the right you will see a large platform with three levels on it, two of which have Gorons, and to the left you will see a small platform with Gorons on it. As you start coming down towards the left platform, immediately begin shooting the left side of it. There are jars there worth points. Once you arrive completely in front of the platform, there will be three Gorons waiting for you. See all those jars and pots in the back? Try shooting them before the beginning whistle blows. As soon as the whistle blows, the Gorons will start rolling in place. Once they stop rolling, they will stand back up, revealing targets on their stomachs. For this first round, the

Gorons will roll a total of five times, and each time they stop rolling and stand up, they will reveal a different target on their stomachs. There are three different targets – normal ones, special ones, and blue X marked ones. Do no hit the blue X one or else you will lose points.

  • For roll one the targets will show as follows: Blue X, Normal, Normal
  • Roll two: Blue X, Normal, Special
  • Roll three: Normal, Special, Blue X
  • Roll four: Blue X, Blue X, Special
  • Roll five: Normal, Special, Special

Try your best to hit all the targets before the ending whistle blows. Once the ending whistle has been blown, you will be taken to the next area – the big platform you saw at the beginning on the right.

As soon as you see the platform and all five Gorons, shoot the right side of the middle platform – it’s the one with two Gorons on it. There’s a jar and sign there you can hit. When you arrive, you will notice all those jars behind the three Gorons on the bottom ledge. Try your best to shoot those when you have the time. When the starting whistle blows, the Gorons will start rolling. Like their fellow brethren, when they stop rolling, they will stand up, revealing different targets on their stomachs. This group of Gorons will roll a total of four times.

  • Roll One
    • Top two: Normal, Blue X
    • Bottom three: Normal, Special, Normal
  • Roll Two
    • Top two: Normal, Special
    • Bottom three: Blue X, Normal, Blue X
  • Roll Three
    • Top two: Blue X, Blue X
    • Bottom three: Blue X, Special, Normal
  • Roll Four
    • Top two: Normal, Blue X
    • Bottom three: Blue X, Special, Normal

Try your best to shoot all the correct targets and jars before the ending whistle. Once the ending whistle has been blown, you will be taken to the last area.

Now, on to the last area. You will go above the cave like dwelling and end up outside. As you go up, you will see a large pot. Shoot it quickly before it vanishes below the screen. What you see now is the large platforms on the side of a rock. The top platform has one Goron, the middle has two Gorons, and the bottom has four. Look behind the four Gorons – there’s lots of pots there. Shoot those as quickly as possible. In this area you have to shoot the targets on the stomachs as quickly as possible, or else they will go away. As soon as the beginning whistle blows, they will start rolling. This group of Gorons will roll a total of four times.

  • Roll One
    • Top ledge: Special

Defender Level: Zora River

Enemies: Toadpolis, Tektites
Time allowed: 60 seconds

In this level, you will be going down Zora’s river in a canoe that you cannot control, which is a good thing because it allows you to focus more on shooting the enemies and jars around you. As you start, you will see a yellow jar up ahead. Shoot it quickly so you can focus on the upcoming enemies. When fighting the enemies, remember that if you get too close to the Toadpolis they will throw stuff at you and the Tektites will jump on you, which will cost you points.

After you shoot the jar, the first Toadpolis will pop out of the water. Shoot it, and another will quickly pop up, followed by another. As you continue down, two more will pop up – the first one on the left, the second on the right. Shoot them in order of their appearance. As soon as you shoot the one on the right, another one will pop up right behind it. Now, if you zoom, you see a scarecrow on a wooden deck. Feel free to shoot it if you want to.

Three Toadpolis will now appear – one on the right, one on the left, and one right next to the right one. Shoot the one to the left first so that you can get the two to the right quickly. Once you have shot all three, you will see a fourth swimming in front of your canoe. Do not shoot it – yet. You cannot shoot anything that is in the water. Do keep a close eye on it, as it will pop out quite quickly. When it pops out, shoot it as fast as possible because you are about to go downstream very quickly. If possible, shoot the yellow jar that is to the left of the scarecrow. As you go down the first hill, you will notice two jars (one close to you, the other more farther away) on the right. Ignore those for now and pay close attention to the group of seven Tektites you’re approaching. The first two will be to the right of the rock formation, four will be in front of you, and the last will be to the left. Kill these creatures as quickly as possible because they love to jump and will jump on you.

When you’re finished killing off the Tektites, you will see four jars – one to the right on a rock formation, one to the left hanging, another to the right hanging from the ceiling, and one straight ahead. Shoot the one on the rock formation and the one hanging on the left first. Ignore the others for now. A Toadpolis will pop out of the water to the right. Shoot it, and another will pop out to the left, followed by another to the right. Quickly look over to the left and you will see two more pop out. Shoot them, then a group of three will pop out. Shoot those as quickly as possible, then shoot the jar up on the ceiling. One will pop out by himself. Shoot him, then a group of three will pop out. Shoot that group as quickly as possible so that you have time to shoot the red jars at the end.

Level Two Sub-level: Skull Shooting

Enemies: none
Time allowed: 60 seconds

This level is a free point level. All you have to do is shoot the skulls that fly across your screen. There are two kinds of skulls here – white ones, and red ones. The red ones are worth more points. When you begin, zoom into the right and you will see a scarecrow there on the hill beside the trees. Feel free to shoot it. Every time a starting whistle blows, a skull will fly across the screen. Each round another skull will be added, so for round one, there will be one skull. Round two, two skulls. Round three, three skulls, and etc etc. If you manage to hit all the skulls, you will receive a bonus in the end. When aiming for the skulls, try waiting until they are in your little circle view, then shoot. You can zoom in, but it’s not recommended, as it will slow you down drastically.
