Phantom Ganon

One of Ganon’s most feared minions is back, and he is as strong as ever, though he hasn’t got any new tricks up his sleeve this time. The only “secret” to beating him is to patiently wait for him to fire his energy-balls at you, and then play a little ball with him, knocking it back and forward between you, with you using your sword. Once he is stunned, run up to him and slash away all you can before he gets his act together again.

When you go to face this big bad guy, make sure you have your Boomerang equipped. The first thing you should do, is jump into one of the holes in the ground. Get into the Cross formation, and use the Boomerang to grab the pieces of rock, and then kill them. Once you have all the rocks out of the way, you need to get going at the eye, which should be turning red by this point. Slash it until he tries to stomp you, and avoid him when he does by watching his shadow. Repeat this until you have defeated him.

Beating these guys shouldn’t be too hard once you know their vulnerability, which is of course Bombs. When one takes a breath, throw a bomb into its mouth, and kaboom. The trick however, is to avoid their fire-beams until you can get rid of all three of them. Be quick and smart, and they should not pose much danger to your quest.

Big Poe

This should be your second encounter with this mean ghostly-like Poe. Now you will need to light all the four torches in the room before he is able to put any of them out, and then he will become weak and disposable to your attacks. Now once you slash at him, he will suck you inside of him, where you need to take care of the green creature you’ll see. Do this until he is dead, and shockingly enough, the battle will be over then.

He is back again, and this time he is really starting to get on our nerves as he even brought his clones! Defeating him isn’t much of a trick this time around either, as you will only need to use the same tactic as you did on your first encounter with him. Focus your main attention on the green orbs, as the balls from his clones will simply break once they hit your sword. Using the Horizontal Line-Up might be a good idea, as it will help improve your aim drastically.

Big Moldorm

You should notice right away that this giant reptile creature has a multi-colored tail-tip this time around. If you didn’t figure it out already, you will need to slash his tail with the same colored Link as his tail. Do this until he splits up into two smaller Moldorms, and then go at his tails some more, and it won’t take long until the battle is nothing but a story in the Chronicles of Link.

Frostare

Just form the looks of this guy, you will probably have guessed that this battle won’t be as easy as a picnic in the park with the Princess. To start with, melt the ice on the right side of the room, and go into the doorway. Equip Roc’s Feather, go back out and jump onto the doorway above the first. Now break the pots and activate the switches to make two platforms appear under Frostare. Use the platforms to jump over to the other side, and to the second door there. In here, take care of the red creature, and this should detach Frostare from the ceiling.

Once this happens, he will fly around the room throwing objects at you. Try to avoid these as good as you can, and jump around on the platforms and use them to get Frostare within reach of your sword. Once you hit him enough, he will disappear in a cloud of smoke, and voila, you have defeated him!

Vaati

Finally, some last-boss action! Or at least that’s what we wish to believe. Vaati is here to make an end to your quest to rid Hyrule of all evil, and he does a good job at it, too. What you need to do at first, is throw your bombs into his tornado, and time it right just so they explode when they reach the top.

Once you hit him enough with your bombs, he will start firing purple balls at you. That marks the time you will need to jump down into the hole, which should lead you right into a cannon. Launch out of it once Vaati is near the hole, and do a jumping stab on him. Soon he will go down to the basement, and then you should hit him with your sword until he goes back up, and once he does, repeat the process with the cannon until he is no more.

Ganon

He is back! The lean, mean, fighting-machine! The scariest and most frightening of all the bad guys in Hyrule! The King of all Evil! Ganon is back, and he is in no mood for a chit-chat either. Get into the box formation, and attack him at his sides when he is not moving. Now he will use the magic Trident to warp you underground, where you will need to defeat the Stalfos to get back up. Keep doing this, and soon the second part of the battle will begin.

Now Zelda will create an orb of light, and Ganon will turn orange. Once he start shooting green orbs from his Trident, hit them away from Zelda and back at Ganon. Watch out, Zelda is suspect to attacks too, so be sure to not let her take too much beating. As soon as you’ve hit Ganon enough times, he will be stunned, and the Princess will create a ball of light which will float around Ganon. Shoot a charged arrow at the ball of light, and if your aim is well, then Ganon will throw in the towel! Congratulations!
