These enemies are harmless statues unless you touch them, at which point they come to life and give chase. Hit them with your sword but only from the back or side.}}

Blazing Watch Tower

Just like in some older Zelda games, these torches will shoot fireballs at Link. Avoid them, since there is no way you can destroy them.

Bomb Soldier

A sometimes tricky enemy to dispatch. Swipe it once with your sword to stun it. Before it can revive, however, pick it up and toss it into a torch. At this point it will run frantically around before exploding. Make sure to avoid it as it does so!

Bubbling Lava

This is a living flame found only in the depths of Death Mountain. It will zip diagonally throughout an area, and its speed makes it difficult to avoid. Avoid it you must, however, for if it touches Link, then he’ll be temporarily uncontrollable as he runs off the flame. Unfortunately, this enemy cannot be defeated.

Bulbul

This is a bloated enemy whose enormous belly is also the key to its demise. Slash its big green belly repeatedly to whittle it down to size and finally destroy it. Do this quickly, however, as it recovers lost girth fairly fast.

Chaser

As its name would suggest, this enemy will chase you, and quickly. Hit it with your sword to destroy it.

Darknut

One of the strongest enemies in the game. It blocks your frontal attacks with a shield, so you must attack from the side or behind.

Fin Piranha

A fish that swarms the waters and leaps out to attack Link. You can’t very well attack if you yourself are in deep water, so move to shallow water and hit it with your sword.

Flying Floor

In a few areas, tiles from the floor will rise up and fly at your team. Either avoid or use a well-timed blow from your sword to deflect the attack.

Gel

Instead of doing damage to you, this creature will stick to Link, making him slower. Swipe it with your sword to dispatch this thing.

Ghini

This mere ghost will haunt your steps until you put it to rest with a single slash of your sword.

Gibdo

Here is a mummy that will track you down and attempt to collide with you. It will take several sword slashes to bring it down.

Hadie

These crafty critters will hide themselves under bushes, and you can’t see them until spring up and attack–so be careful around a lot of shrubbery! Defeat them with your sword.

Hikkun

One of the most unique enemies in the game. These slow moving creatures will crawl around the room. Slash it once to stun it, then two players must grab each ear on either side of the beast and then pull to stretch the enemy to its breaking point.

Hiproop

This is a creature with a hardened mask that it uses for protection from sword attacks. Use the Magnetic Glove to pull the mask off, then you’re free to attack it.

Igor

These are one-eyed statues that are instrumental in solving puzzles–shoot an Arrow into the eye. Be careful, though, because when struck, some come to life and attack Link!

Iron Ball Soldier

This is another powerful enemy. Keep away from him as he swings his large ball and chain. However, once he stops swinging, that’s your cue to run in and attack him with your sword.

Keese

A very common enemy in Zelda games. They will fly around and try to damage Link. Destroy them with a single hit from any weapon in your arsenal; try to hit one from a distance if you have a long-range weapon equipped.

Moblin

These strong enemies come in two varities: One shoots arrows, and the other wields a spear. Block the arrows with your Shield and dodge the spears as you move in and attack with your sword once you have an opening.

Nokken

This is not a powerful enemy, but it is one of the trickiest to destroy. First, hit it with your sword to stun it. Then one player must pick it up and throw it to a teammate to open its shell. That teammate must then hit it with the sword to finish it off. Practice makes perfect!

Octorok

This familiar enemy returns and moves around, shooting rocks at you as usual. Block the rocks with your Shield or dodge them altogether, then slash it to defeat it.

Pseudo Rupee

With Rupees being as precious as they are, this might be the most dangerous enemy in the game. Disguised as an ordinary Rupee, once you move close, this thing comes to life and attempts to grab your player, choking the Rupees out of you–and unlike the Rupee Wraith, you cannot recover lost Rupees from this enemy. Thankfully, it moves slowly, so get away fast! If caught, have a teammate hack away at the beast to free you.

Rope

This is a classic snake enemy that slithers along the ground at surprisingly high speeds. Quickly dispatch it with sword swipes.

Rupee Wraith

Sometimes opening a treasure chest unleashes this phantom, who will go after Link and bump his Rupees to the ground. Quickly recover them! To get the Rupee Wraith off of you, touch another teammate, and it will pursue him instead. Eventually, this enemy will fade away after a while.

Stalfos

This skeletal foe warrior will arise to attack Link. Put it back down with multiple sword hits.

Tail

A slithering, segmented enemy similar to Moldorm from A Link to the Past. You will need to score many sword hits to bring down this beast, but oftentimes doing so nets lucrative rewards in terms of Rupees.

Tektite

An unpredictable, bouncing arachnid who will try to collide with Link. Have a sharp wit and a sharp sword to defeat it.

Togezo

A common enemy in the handheld Zelda games, it will charge you on sight. Use your Shield to block it, at which point it will flip onto its backside, exposing its weak underbelly. Slash it with your sword before it can recuperate.

Trap

An invincible obstacle that is triggered whenever Link steps into its line of range. It slices across the floor quickly, so be fast! Trigger it, then swiftly step back out of the way. Proceed as it’s retracting.

Wisp

These flaming skull-like enemies move in diagonal patterns around the room and are invulnerable to all attacks. You can only avoid them.

Wizzrobe

This is an old mage who will appear for a short while, shoot a magic attack at you, then disappear and reappear elsewhere. It’s only vulnerable while visible, so quickly dodge its attack and move in with your sword.

Fire Wizzrobe

This is an old mage who will appear for a short while, shoot a fire attack at you, then disappear and reappear elsewhere. It’s only vulnerable while visible, so quickly dodge its fire and move in with your sword; if you get hit, you’ll temporarily lose control of Link as he runs the flames off.

Ice Wizzrobe

This is an old mage who will appear for a short while, shoot an ice attack at you, then disappear and reappear elsewhere. It’s only vulnerable while visible, so quickly dodge its ice and move in with your sword; if you get hit, you’ll be frozen and have to rely on a teammate to free you with his sword. Note that this enemy functions as a kind of boss in the last area of the Chamber of Insights.

Zol

A slow-moving blob that is not very powerful on its own. Hit it with your sword, and it will split into two Gel enemies. Dispatch them with your sword as well.
