Magic Jar
These small, yet handy jars will restore Link’s magic points. They come in two different colors, red and blue. The blue jar will only fill a small amount of magic, while the red will fill almost all of it. You can find them in abundance, and many enemies carry them with them. Destroy them to claim it! It is important to remember to keep your magic meter as full as you can, for magic comes in handy later in the game.
Treasure Bag
If you come across a bag like this and look inside, your experience points will increase, which is always a good thing! Just as the jars above, these bags can be found in the place of a demised enemy. These jars aren’t as abundant, but can be found all over Hyrule. Hidden in caves, hiding in the forest, or even under the boulders. However, always check every corner in the Palaces, because you never know where you might find some treasure!
Heart Container
Heart Containers will increase the life gauge a whole section, meaning Link will be more resistant to enemy’s attacks. These handy containers are hidden throughout the land, and for those of you who are too lazy to search for them look to our Heart Containers page. Heart Containers will also heal Link fully when acquired, and will increase the gauge permanently.
This has the same effect to your magic meter as the Heart Container above has to your life meter. These potions are very important indeed. Not only will one of these jars fill up your magic meter, but this will now increase the amount of magic you can hold. Look to our Magic Containers page for information on where they are located. If you acquire all of these Magic Containers, it will make your journey a lot easier.
Doll
With this doll, Link’s total number of lives will increase by one, very useful if you want to avoid the “Game Over” screen. In total there are five of these dolls scattered throughout Hyrule, so remember where they are. Make sure you acquire these dolls at a wise time, and do not take them for granted because as mentioned before, there are only five, and they won’t replenish.
Candle
With this treasure, which can be found in Parapa Palace, you will be able to see in previously dark places. This Candle will give Link enough light to illuminate even the darkest of caves. Without this Candle, enemies may sneak up on Link and give him quite a scare! This is a must-have for all heroes.
Hammer
A “harder-than-rock” item, which that is exactly what you use it for: breaking rocks. Perhaps you might even find it useful to knock down certain trees. You will find this tool at the conclusion of the Death Mountain Maze, so it is quite hard to track down. Once you have this item, Link can access previously inaccessible areas blocked by giant boulders.
Handy Glove
The Handy Glove completely lives up to its name, and will become your new best friend. This glove gives Link the power to break through stone blocks in Palaces with his sword. This makes the entire journey to the Great Palace much easier. Creating new pathways and trapping enemies inside stone block barriers is only half the fun! This Glove’s power is tremendous, so don’t forget to search blocks for Treasure Bags and Magic Jars!
Raft
Found in the Island temple, the raft is quite the aid in Link’s quest. When Link acquires the raft, he can finally cross large bodies of water. The Raft’s functionality is to transport Link to Eastern Hyrule, a very different place. Once across the sea Link will encounter new types of enemies and all new challenges. This Raft is a key ingredient to Link’s success.
Boots
These winged pair of boots will take Link to many new places. According to legend, it is said that if you put on these boots you can do something extraordinary. What can be more extraordinary than walking on water? With these boots, Link can walk over some special small lakes and rivers, allowing him to reach secrets and many new territories.
Flute
This Flute was crafted many years ago and sealed away to protect its magic. When Link plays this Flute, he will unlock the legendary mysterious music of Hyrule. The sound holds many old and mysterious powers. Some enemies are so large and dangerous they can only be defeated by playing the Flute’s melody. Without this flute, Link will never be able to complete his quest. Perhaps it has some other uses as well?
Magical Key
This key is everything you have hoped for since the start of your quest. This magic key grants you the power to open as many locked doors as you want, without using any keys. You will obtain this later in your journey, but it still makes tasks much easier! This magic key was said to be used by a legendary hero long ago.
Cross
This holy instrument has a power that can grant Link the power of sight. With its secret power, you’ll be able to see enemies which you normally can’t see. The demon Moa of Eastern Hyrule will now be revealed for Link to see. This Cross is extremely hard to find, for it is buried deep within the Hidden Three-Eyed palace.

Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland was released only in Japan and Europe, never making it to the USA due to lackluster sales. Surprisingly, the game was well-received among those who did play and review the game. You play as Tingle, a 35-year-old (and single) man lost in the world. Guided by the mysterious figure Uncle Rupee, Tingle fills a mystical spring with money and gain access to the wonderful Rupeeland, a paradise where nobody has to work. Along the way, hire body guards to protect Tingle – but from what? All may not be as it seems in Tingle’s quest for monetary gain, and Rupeeland just might not be so rosy after all...
