Motion controls were not the only way in which Skyward Sword raised the bar for the Zelda series. It was also the first Zelda game to use an orchestrated soundtrack. The result is a vast soundtrack with many breathtaking pieces. In fact, there are too many standouts to list here so you should probably listen to them all!
Recording of the Zelda 25th Anniversary CD
Regardless of whether you’ve listened to the tracks that are going to appear on the Zelda 25th Anniversary Special Orchestra CD or not, watching a video of the orchestra performing them is the next best thing to actually seeing the symphony live. High quality footage of one of the tracks from Skyward Sword has been released, and can be watched and listened to after the jump. For those of you who wish to remain totally spoiler free, the title of the song has been put after the jump, but if you’ve been keeping up with recent Skyward Sword trailers, this melody will surely sound familiar.
Oracle of Seasons and Ages Original Soundtrack
Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages are the only two Zelda games ever released meant to be played in tandem with one another. Link’s adventures in Labrynna and Holodrum borrow heavily from the music of Link’s Awakening, while adding a few new tracks into the mix. The result is the largest, most compositionally complex soundtrack for the Game Boy platform ever made.

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks Original Soundtrack
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks has been considered one of the greatest handheld Zelda titles of all time – however, Nintendo never released an official soundtrack for this game. To compensate, Zelda Universe has pooled its resources together and created the Spirit Tracks Original Soundtrack, a polished compilation of all the music from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
A great deal of work went into creating the professional soundtrack release you see below. This soundtrack just wouldn’t be possible without…
- Keith Alagha (aka silver-hero), who contributed all of the high-quality music rips that make up the soundtrack, and gave them all lovely fade-outs when desperately needed;
- Jason Rappaport, who organized, tagged and named all the tracks, as well as created the album artwork for the project;
- And of course, Nintendo and the brilliant Koji Kondo, Toru Minegishi, Asuka Ota, and Manaka Tominaga who spent their days composing and rendering the music we love.
We hope that everyone who downloads this soundtrack enjoys the music of Spirit Tracks!

The Legend of Zelda Original Soundtrack
Zelda Universe received this OST as a gift from a wonderful person named Shaelyn. Zelda: The Music is a part of the Nintendo Sound History Series of soundtracks, and is only available in Japan. Shaelyn was nice enough to translate all of the track names for us, providing ZU with an incredibly comprehensive soundtrack detailing music from most every major Zelda game.
Phantom Hourglass Original Soundtrack
Zelda Universe received this OST as a gift from forum member dark-hero (who personally edited all of the tracks!) in hopes we would stick it up on our soundtracks section – lo and behold, the soundtrack cometh, like a jackpot at a casino. Although, according to some, Phantom Hourglass itself suffered from a lack of astounding music, there’s plenty to go around in this 32-track OST.
The Ocarina of Time Official soundtracks was released in the United States to the public. It includes as good as every piece of music from the game, and satisfied all the Zelda fans who were hoping for orchestrated versions of the songs from their new favorite game.
Released back in 1999, this soundtrack goes along with Ocarina of Time. The music played in the soundtrack is orchestrated version of familiar OoT songs such as the Kokiri Forest, Gerudo Valley, and even ocarina songs. The bulk of the album is played in strings – but it is surely a treat to any Zelda music fan.
A two CD set worthy of following after the Ocarina of Time soundtrack. This OST was released in the USA only temporarily, available through Nintendo Power. Today, it is available only through Japan, and can be obtained by import. Some songs may even sound familiar to one who has listened to the music from OoT, and thanks to Dennis Wyman from affiliate ZeldaInformer.com, everyone can enjoy this wonderful soundtrack.
If you enjoyed the original sound track for Majora’s Mask, this CD is quite the treat. Similar to Hyrule Symphony (though perhaps the title was a bit on the less creative side), it does not include every song from the game, but the eleven orchestrated tracks will definitely satisfy whatever Zelda music craving you may have.
An interesting album donated by our own lord-of-shadow. Some of the tracks on this soundtrack you may find are addicting, while others you may not like at all. Rest assured, this album is a very intriguing listen if you’re looking for variations and remixes of the original Ocarina of Time music.
A beautifully orchestrated album with remixed songs from A Link to the Past. Donated by active forum member lord-of-shadow, this album is guaranteed not to disappoint. You just have to listen for yourself.

Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland was released only in Japan and Europe, never making it to the USA due to lackluster sales. Surprisingly, the game was well-received among those who did play and review the game. You play as Tingle, a 35-year-old (and single) man lost in the world. Guided by the mysterious figure Uncle Rupee, Tingle fills a mystical spring with money and gain access to the wonderful Rupeeland, a paradise where nobody has to work. Along the way, hire body guards to protect Tingle – but from what? All may not be as it seems in Tingle’s quest for monetary gain, and Rupeeland just might not be so rosy after all...
