Nathan, our good buddy over at arch-rival site ZeldaInformer, has posted a detailed article reiterating everything we’ve learned so far about Nintendo’s upcoming Zelda game for Wii. If you need a good refresher about what’s coming to the Zelda world in the future, check out his article. Think of it like a TV show episode that does nothing but recap the whole season.

  1. ChainofTermina Says:

This will be the oldest Link yet? hmmm… could this perhaps be the first ever M rated Zelda game? whoa… an M rated Zelda game…. just imagine what that would be like!

but wait a minute, Link IS still a teenager right? I don't wanna play Link as a friken 30 year old!

I don't want to completely get rid of Gannon, but some new Villains would be nice. And the Triforce will never leave Zelda…. it just won't.

  2. Cody Says:

You can be someone's rival and still be friends with them – a rival is simply someone you are competing with :P

  3. Triforce of the Gods Says:

    It's ZeldaInformer, NOT Zelda Informer.

  4. Business Shrub Says:

    "arch-rival"?
Isn't Zelda Informer listed under the "Zelda Friends" bar?

"It's fun moving your body around" Nooooo, moving your body constitutes sport, I hate sport. That comment (made previously) reminded me about the old days when some people moved the controller. I feel like Link or Mario when I play, if I had to gyrate about that would totally detract from the experience.

As long as we are dreaming about new Zelda features I hope link will have wings in the next Zelda, soaring around with the Deku Leaf was the best experience with Wind Waker, perhaps you could fly even further in the open steps of Hyrule field! What do you call it, kite? Yeah, a kite, Link should fly around in a kite! "Catch the Wind!"

One other thing I hope for in the next Zelda is food and water, if Link doesn't eat or drink he dies, hahahah-haaa! That would introduce a whole different level of strategy to the game and give a whole different meaning to the name "Desert Colossus" or the desert in ALttP for that matter. Swamps would be, for instance, places with water but no food.

I want Link to move slower the more items he's carrying, if you have too many useless items you might leave a few in Links house.

The next Zelda will be different, yeah let's hope, MM was different and the best Zelda so far, but ALttP was the best Zelda ever of course, the best 3D Zelda so far perhaps rather.

  5. ChainofTermina Says:

A kite? hey, didn't Link have something like that in the ALTTP comic?

  6. The Power of Three Says:

Yeah, um… what was the video about. I mean, I like it, it didn't make sense though. It was funny, yet disturbing. Cool though. I did see how Nathan was talking about the old generation, to the new generation. I mean I really do agree how everything was all cool and new gaming to the public. But now… *shakes head* now it's all caught up with the "future technology". If you've seen some of my forums though, I've said before maybe this is exactly what Legend of Zelda needs! 3D graphics aren't enough obviously. We need the future technology "style" to keep us tuned into Zelda, it's what keeps as afloat, you know? To those who don't get what I'm saying, if they don't do this to Zelda games… then we basically lose our sense in Legend of Zelda. Therefore, there would be no need for this site. So why do people complain? I don't know.

  7. Celesteon Says:

    I think he was just…'older than 17'

  8. ChainofTermina Says:

    what video?

  9. Art1st4786 Says:

I highly doubt the game will be M-rated, but as far as Link's age, I'm thinking he might be in his early to mid twenties.

  10. ChainofTermina Says:

well that is just unacceptable! Link is a teenager! A TEENAGER!

note: i'm not actually angry at you. I just want to prove my point. :)

  11. Triforce of the Gods Says:

News flash: Adult Link (Link in his teens; 16-17) has only been in three games, AoL, OoT, and TP. All the rest have him younger.

  12. Business Shrub Says:

Yes, he did, or actually they were "wings that used to carry knights into battle…". I loved the ALTTP comic! Link was also thirsty in that comic, so I was thinking that maybe thirst and fatigue could be natural barriers in a Zelda game, the same way Link couldn't reach the beach without his horse in MM he could perhaps not reach the desert dungeon without either the wings or an extra big water bottle, that would even give some choice to players, like am I going to get the horse or the extra big water bottle. I think it would be interresting and learning Nintendo is doing something different in the next Zelda…, I started hopping for something really different. The only thing you know for sure about a new Zelda is it's going to be different.

  13. ChainofTermina Says:

well……..that's……..WHATEVER! I just meant that Link shouldn't ever be an actual adult (20 and over)

  14. ChainofTermina Says:

I think Link should need food and water too. and sleep. I mean, what is Link a vampire? He needs to Sleep!

  15. Triforce of the Gods Says:

Fair enough. Though I don't see why not.

  16. Justin Basl Says:

I am hoping zelda wii gives the console a runs for its wii plus motion money. lol, serious. and I'm hoping the new game will give me that crack feeling pleasure, like I felt when OOT of MM. Please Nintendo, I got to get my fix. lol

  17. Business Shrub Says:

Nah, not sleep, what am I gona do when he sleeps? Watch him sleep? Although, wait, if he did sleep it could be like a certain amount of time passes every time he sleeps, just like listening to stories by the granny at Stock Pot Inn, yeah good idea, he needs sleep too.

  18. Zach Says:

i'll be so annoyed if Link is right-handed from now on.

  19. Justin Basl Says:

I'm a lefty!!!! LInk and I share a lot in common. LOL
