From July 1st to August 1st, The Speed Gamers will be broadcasting nightly streams of the Zelda series! This nightly marathon is being held to benefit ACT Today!, an organization dedicated to helping military children with autism and their families.

However, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill gaming marathon. Rather than playing for donations, The Speed Gamers will be playing for your votes. ACT Today! is in the running to win $250,000 from the Pepsi Refresh Project, which awards funding each month to people, businesses and non-profit organizations that impact our world in a positive way. However, only the top two entrants will win the funding from Pepsi.

And so, The Speed Gamers are holding Summer of Zelda in order to generate support and awareness about the contest and to remind you to vote each day! Myself and the rest of the ZU staff encourage you support TSF by spreading the word and casting your vote daily. After all, it’s great to see our favorite series tied to such a wonderful cause.
