There was quite a bit of time skipped between Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. Just what happened in that time? Aside from The Wind Waker’s illustrated introduction, we know little about what actually happened in between the two games.

ZeldaInformer’s Casey Hodges has written a speculative article discussing just what might have happened during that time period; check out the article here.

    Huh?

  2. Labrynian Rebel Says:

I don't think the gods took away the majority of Hylian's ears because they didn't like them, more then likely the Hylians interbred with the Humans out of desperation, becasue as you said, they were all stuck on little islands together. This probably never happended before because Hylians seem to have a superiority complex, and in TP all Humans are living out in the wilderness, as opposed to inside Castle Town.

  3. Pandora21 Says:

that makes A LOT of sense when you think about it

  4. Average Gamer Says:

Most of that is fan fiction, especially regarding the Gerudo and Tetra's crew. Some of it even directly contradicts the game.

  5. Ess Em Gee Says:

Of course it's fanfiction. I've often thought about it, actually.

I think that OOT's Princess Zelda would have given up her claim to the throne out of guilt (after all, she was the one who set the chain of events in motion that allowed Ganondorf to conquer Hyrule in the first place). I also think that whoever took her place as Hyrule's ruler gave the order to massacre the Gerudos as revenge for conspiring with Ganondorf. This would have angered the goddesses, so when Ganon ultimately returned from the Dark World, they decided not to send down a hero to save the day, and instead flooded the world.

I've always been reluctant to listen to these things, but upon reading I am really impressed and more than inclined to believe that this has actually happened.

Of course, the developers woud NEVER agree…

  7. ChainofTermina Says:

wait, what? the wind waker people had long ears didn't they? yes I'm sure they did.

hehe…boyfriends. they use the term "boyfriends" because it's e rated game. we all know what the gerudos are really doing….. the R word.

this does make a lot of sense. I'd be willing to accept this, but I wish nintendo would explain this stuff themselves. like, in a new game or something. but of course that'll never happen.

I think this guy is on something. Let things be. Not everything has to have an answer.

  9. ChainofTermina Says:

would they really give the thrown to someone who was stupid enough to do that? this is Hyrule, not…………America

  10. SomeRandomWeirdGuy Says:

It's an awesome theory in my opinion, and does tie in nicely with a lot of the loose ends in Wind Waker.
