A Spirit Tracks commercial has finally been aired in North America, which is likely to be the first of many.
Product Manager Roger Langford, speaking to MCV, has explained that Nintendo will be heavily focusing on television advertising from now on.
“The marketing for Spirit Tracks will focus around a TV campaign starting around the launch encapsulating the magic and mystery of The Legend Of Zelda, as well as displaying the rich and varied environments of the title itself. We want to ensure that all Legend Of Zelda fans are aware of the title at launch with this heavyweight TV campaign.”
Let’s hope that these commercials are successful and bring some new fans to the Zelda series.

Epic! I was the one that sent it in by the way.
So does most of the news XD

One of the coolest US Zelda commercials! =D I love the "next stop Hyrule" (wish that was a stop)
November 18th, 2009 at 7:33 am
I don't know why, but I burst out laughing at the end of this
can't wait for this game!
November 18th, 2009 at 7:55 am
can't wait !

This commercial is like a slap on the face. I wanted to play it on the train to work, but I can't do it because I will look like a fool blowing on the mic. Now they make an ad about a guy in a metro. Sucks.
Other than that the ad looks nice!
November 18th, 2009 at 8:23 am
You don't have to blow in the mic for EVERYTHING
November 18th, 2009 at 11:48 am
Wow, it looked pretty cool to see the Hyrule in that shot. So big and green…..LoL
November 18th, 2009 at 12:41 pm
Looks very much like the A Link to the Past (GBA)-trailer.

That's what I thought anyway!
November 18th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What the heck is Zelda doing???
November 18th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
Blow in the mic? Am I missing something here? I don't want to blow anywhere, I'm just using my fingers like a good old fashioned gamer. I'm hoping blowing is optional, otherwise that would just blow
November 18th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
That is soo Cool
November 18th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
Yeah this commercial sucks. The ALttP was better. Plus, this appeals to a very select audience in America. I say phalesawz.
November 18th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
awsome!!!!
November 18th, 2009 at 2:14 pm
I don't want Zelda to be a ghost!
I resent this recent Zelda ;P
November 18th, 2009 at 6:42 pm
This made me love my daily metro rides even more. Next stop… Hyrule! Hahaha. Awesome.
November 18th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
"I hope Nintendo rectifies the problem and somehow Link can save Zelda, because if not what's the point of playing???"
Seriously? You do realize that Zelda isn't in every game, right? The point is to save the world as much as it is to save Zelda in the ones she is in.
November 18th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
Still the best Zelda commercial ever.. People think it was Aryll saying those words. But after playing that game you know It's princess Zelda probably from Ocarina of time. (her last sentence suggests this)
November 18th, 2009 at 8:26 pm
Best US Zelda commercial, maybe, but the best Zelda commercial will always be the Japanese ALttP commercial.
November 18th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
Hyrule is so greeeeen!
November 18th, 2009 at 8:53 pm
at 0:03 theres a Triforce on the seat (graffiti)
At 0:05 the guys newspaper says Hyrule Weekly: Spirit Tracks dissapearing
0:07 behind the guy is a map of Hyrule (I think)
These are the only thing I could find hidden in the ad, I like the beggining when the guys playing the Pan pipes lol
November 18th, 2009 at 9:03 pm
Hyrule!!
November 18th, 2009 at 9:10 pm
Where did this commercial air?
November 18th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
Here in Boston, there is a "Neverland" stop…so it's quite possible:P
November 18th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Good commercial. OoX is still my favorite (MM is my second favorite) commercial, but at least it's better than what they gave us of FSA. Let's say, I leave this commercial a hair less favoritable than tWW commercial (with the little girl narrating everything).

Why can't we get the Wind Waker Commercial again?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yWAUNqJ-0k&NR...
Maybe Wind Waker should have a sequel, Wind Waker Cruisers Quest, this sequel would feature harder and longer dungeons, a bit like Master Quest. I don't want Zelda to be a ghost! Hello, SAVE the princess!!! Yes, Hello, Listen, Hey Listen!!! I said SAVE the princess, do you want to remake the game? I hope Nintendo rectifies the problem and somehow Link can save Zelda, because if not what's the point of playing???
November 18th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
it ruled you know it
November 18th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
wha-wha-wah-WHA!? hey, I live in Boston, and I never heard of that. or……have I? it does sound vaguely familiar…..I'll have to look at a map.
November 18th, 2009 at 11:51 pm
have you been living under a rock (or shrub, hehe) for the past week and a half? Zelda's not really "dead", her soul was removed from her body. one of the main points of the whole game is to get her back in. they're not gonna leave Zelda like that for the ENTIRE game, she'll be returned to her body at the end, don't worry. thats not a spoiler by the way because it hasn't technically been confirmed, but come on, we all know it.
November 18th, 2009 at 11:59 pm
haven't seen it yet, but I'll keep my eye out. we really need some good commercials again; I'm so sick of dashing for the mute button when ever a New Moon commercial comes on.
did that guy summon the train with the flute? can we do that in the game? I wish I could do that in real life, (especially with the T, right BigGoronSword, [nudge, nudge])
now THAT is what Hyrule field should look like, huge, wide open spaces. I don't know why but I thought that Hyrule field in OoT seemed a little small.
November 19th, 2009 at 1:34 am
Have you been living under a rock? IGN played the first 90 minutes and was briefed on the plot. They say she's dead.
November 19th, 2009 at 1:47 am
I have heard about the commercial, and am interested in seeing it. Know that it is out, I will keep and keen eye out for it. Does anyone know what Chanel it's viewed on?
November 19th, 2009 at 1:58 am
I don't like it.
I mean, it's a clever concept and all, but the commercial doesn't really have a focus. It's not targeted toward anyone in particular, and it doesn't show off very much of the game. All it does is raise brand awareness, but that's not really enough in the run up to Christmas.
It's too much like Nintendo's horrible N64/GC era commercials.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:52 am
oh, okay then. Zelda's dead. Is that what you're saying? That she's actually irreversibly undeniably dead? This game is going to feature Zelda's funeral, Link and the King dressed in black? A tombstone that reads "Here lies Princess Zelda. may she rest in peace". The game is going to end with '" hey, thanks for continuing to travel with me in the mortal realm just so you could posses a few knights and help me stop the Demon King. now that that's done, I guess you can go on ahead into the afterlife now. Because a game with fairies, ghosts, portals to other dimensions, mystical seals that keep evil at bay for centuries, and magic, couldn't POSSIBLY return a wondering spirit back to her original body." yep, this cartoony, e rated game is for the first time ever gonna have Princess Zelda literally, actually die and not come back to life. Your right. I was mistaken. This TOTALLY sounds like something Miyamoto would do.
November 19th, 2009 at 3:17 am
Just because she's dead doesn't mean she can't be restored to her body and brought back to life. Your making this black and white just because you don't want Zelda dead.
November 19th, 2009 at 7:07 pm
what the hell are you talking about? being in spirit form is not the same as being dead. when you're dead, that means your soul has moved on and nothing can bring it back. you must be thinking of UN-dead. that's what Zelda is. she is undead. Vampires, ghosts, zombies, all these fall into the category of undead. when you are undead, that means your body is "dead" but "you" are still here. in some form or another, your conciseness is still in this world. whether it be as a ghost, Zombie, skeleton, or superpowered vampire, what made your physical body a human is now dead, your heart is stopped, but YOU are still alive.
November 20th, 2009 at 11:30 am
Yeah, that what I hope too, and that's what I meant by "rectifying" the problem. Somehow the story has to end well.
November 21st, 2009 at 3:38 pm
I want a subscription to Hyrule Weekly.
November 26th, 2009 at 5:10 pm
Me too…. Let's go check out the Hyrule Newspaper stand
November 26th, 2009 at 5:14 pm
I saw this commercial yesterday
I'm pretty sure it was after a New Moon commercial, so I had it on mute (obviously) and my sister was like "Does that newspaper say Hyrule on it?" (unmutes)
So then I was like 'Holy crap I know this stuff! 8D" It made me happy (btw I'm the only Zelda fanatic in my family)
