It is I, your friendly overseer, Jason Rappaport. After reading lefty’s article, I went out and bought the Ocarina app for myself and decided to give it a whirl, and let me assure you that multitouch + Zelda = glee!

Hah. I thought for sure it was going to be some outrageous price like 5-$10.
I wish this was functional for the iPod touch or there was an Android version.
Sigh.
I love how you can listen to other people. They just need to make it so you can play with people in your contacts over the internet instead of just listen to random people… who suck.

…Holy!…..
That is the single awesomest thing I’ve seen in months! I’m a digital music composer, so this is particularly fascinating to me! Now…to get a job as a doctor so I can afford an iPhone….

This seems really cool, and really makes me wish for an iPhone.
The names of the different ocarinas are some sort of musical scale term, they also happen to be the names of some certain important characters in Mother 3
.

I own a real ocarina. Very happy with it. Doesn’t take long to learn and is fun to play!

It works on an Ipod touch, too right?
November 13th, 2008 at 4:07 am
Unfortunately not, because the Itouch doesen’t have a speaker.

Actually the new iPod Touches have a speaker. But you can still just use your headphones (or even plug it into better speakers so it sounds better) for the older Touches. However, neither Touch models have a mic..I think. So you still wouldn’t really be able to play it.

Looks cool.
That person playing Final Fantasy was very good.

I wish I had an iPhone… this is coming from someone who actually plays the real Ocarina. It just looks easy.
In reality, blowing is the hardest part. You have to make it sound like it’s not a whistle on steroids.
Congrats to the people who made this. Looks pretty sweet.

“I’m a very musical person, I also talk like a fag.”
Dude I had to sit through like 10 minutes of your shit talking before finally seeing how the goddamn thing works, pretty impressive though, I’ll tell you that.
