Our friend Nathan over at ZeldaInformer has compiled a wish-list of features and tidbits that he would like to see appear in Spirit Tracks. If you’ve ever had ideas for ways to improve the Zelda series, this is a welcome read, and Nate addresses the flaws that were present in Phantom Hourglass that should most certainly be fixed in Spirit Tracks (such as the lackluster soundtrack).

Check out the article here.

There was quite a bit of time skipped between Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker. Just what happened in that time? Aside from The Wind Waker’s illustrated introduction, we know little about what actually happened in between the two games.

ZeldaInformer’s Casey Hodges has written a speculative article discussing just what might have happened during that time period; check out the article here.

What is it that makes the Zelda community special? I’m tempted to say “me” but that would only be part of the answer.

It has a lot to do with the Zelda games, of course. Without them, we wouldn’t be here – but what exactly is it about Zelda that makes people create websites devoted to the series, or gather to discuss theories and the latest in Zelda news?

Nathan of ZeldaInformer takes a deeper look into the question in his article, where he explains why he thinks the Zelda community is better and bigger than – for instance – the Mario community.

Nathan, our good buddy over at arch-rival site ZeldaInformer, has posted a detailed article reiterating everything we’ve learned so far about Nintendo’s upcoming Zelda game for Wii. If you need a good refresher about what’s coming to the Zelda world in the future, check out his article. Think of it like a TV show episode that does nothing but recap the whole season.

Have Zelda games gotten too easy? Not necessarily. Dathen of Zeldainformer claims that Zelda veterans find the new games easy because they already know how all the puzzles work from experience with previous Zelda games, and that the way to make Zelda challenging again is to create new types of puzzles. You can read the article here.

Is there a need for a bigger sense of threat in Zelda? This article by Dathen Boccabella from ZeldaInformer explores the subject of threatening (or in this case, non-threatening) villains in our beloved Zelda franchise.

If you played Oracle of Seasons or Oracle of Ages, you should remember the unique rings system that it had, which provided Link with various different abilities and power-ups. Well, Ben of ZeldaInformer thinks that these should be brought back for more Zelda games. You can read the article here.

One of the most mysterious characters from Twilight Princess was the Hero’s Shade, the spirit of a former hero who knew many powerful techniques and taught them to Link. Not much is known about his past self, though it is widely believed from various clues that he was the original Hero of Time.

Dathen of ZeldaInformer has taken a deeper look into the past and true nature of the Hero’s Shade in his newest article, Spirit of the Hero, so if you played Twilight Princess and want to learn more about the character, you should take a look.

I saw an interesting discussion yesterday – Nick, a newsposter on ZeldaInformer, posted about how he felt that he should stop playing Zelda due to wanting to reinvent himself for college, and it caused a heated debate to break out.

What do you think? When should the line be drawn on switching out social interaction for gaming, and is it ever necessary to stop playing games and move on?

The Bombers, a theorizing group that once wrote articles for Zelda Universe and since moved to ZeldaInformer, has released their first article of 2009. In this piece Ben Lamoreux, better known around here as Erimgard, talks about what really was behind the creation of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Yes, it seems our arch-rivals (who temporarily succeeded in befouling our precious abode with their leadership last April) are safely back online after what has been described as “the server move from hell.” We congratulate them for their heroic efforts in remaining standing, but remind them that every effort to undermine us is futile and that ZeldaInformer will eventually bow to us.

…erm, *ahem*, welcome back guys! ;)
