GoNintendo recently partnered with Gamedaily to create a list of the top ten games for the Gamecube, and Wind Waker was placed in the #1 spot, beating out Resident Evil 4.

Zelda was not as lucky in the other lists, however. In the list for the top 10 NES games, AoL placed fifth, with no mention of the original LoZ, and Zelda didn’t place at all in the SNES top 10. For the N64 List, OoT and MM hit first and fifth place respectively, so overall, the 3D games received much better rankings than the earlier 2D games.

What do you think? Are the 3D Zelda games simply more appreciated than the 2D ones, or it is a case of the older consoles having vastly tougher competition?

Recently, Club Nintendo offered a set of three Zelda posters in return for Club Nintendo Coins. One of the posters chronicled all of the different styles of Link through the ages, while the other two were from Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass.

Unfortunately, they were backordered, but it looks like they are now ready and arriving, so you should hopefully receive your Zelda poster set sometime this week.
