The Four Swords Part II manga by Akira Himekawa was released yesterday, October 6th, in bookstores across America. Like the other mangas in the series, the story will be based on the game itself. Look for it in your local bookstore or order online for a cover price of $7.99.
Continuing the series, look for The Minish Cap to be released December 1 and A Link to the Past on February 2.
Already released are Ocarina of Time Part I, Ocarina of Time Part II, Majora’s Mask, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, and Four Swords Part I.
“All of the classic Zelda elements are there – Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, the Triforce, Hyrule – yet the story is a new Zelda tale in its own right.”
The Hero of Time is a full-length independent Zelda film which is loosely based on the events of Ocarina of Time. Lysia of the Sacred Realm has given it a thorough review, while making sure to avoid any spoilers. You can have a look at it here.

Hey guys, remember this trailer?
For those that don’t, this is a fan-made movie about a story loosely based of Ocarina of Time. The movie has been completed for over three months and ZU staff has been completely unaware of it. Do we suck, or what?
I must say, I surprise myself sometimes. I have added another mailbag to the site, answering all those wonderful questions you sent to me. Questions ranging from the Wii Zelda game that was announced, the timeline, and the interactive story.
You can view the mailbag here, and you can send some more questions here.
It’s not much of an update, but that’s all I have. Until next time, enjoy the mailbag.
I’m sure this story will amuse most of you fellow Zelda Universearians. They say that video games can become addicting, sometimes to a dangerous level at that! Click the jump to find out about a case that can be considered alarming.
As Zelda fans, we often discuss, debate about the series and so on. As fans we can become very excited over news, whether it be a new game annoucement or something such as competitions and the like. In this case, people becoming excited over a possible new game is very much true. On January 14th, 2008, fellow ZU member TourianTourist had discovered a countdown page for a new game on Marvelous Entertainment’s website. As everyone has probably known by now, it depicts a triangle-shaped clock floating above the countdown. The hands on this clock did not point to numbers, but rather pieces of what appears to be the Triforce. A triangle shaped clock, Triforce pieces instead of numbers… the first thing to pop into your mind would probably be a new Zelda title being announced.

Link decides to reveal a surprising retro look for the decade celebration.
So I’ve been asked to do this now. I’ll be writing this in a completely different format from my usual reviews, partially because of the significance of the game I’m being asked to review, and partially because I only have two days to get this out. In case you couldn’t tell, November 21st is the tenth anniversary of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Regarded as one of the finest games ever designed, it has sold 7.6 million copies of its original N64 release, and has spawned almost half a dozen re-releases. It was also the first game to ever receive a perfect score from Famitsu, which in itself is regarded as the most respected video game reviewing magazine available. Yes, even I liked this game as a child, and I still do as an adult, so it’s incredibly difficult for me to say anything negative about this game. So, instead of all of that, we’re going to take a look at this juggernaut of gaming and see exactly what made it tick back then, what makes us remember it now, and how it came to be classified as one of the greatest, if not the greatest games ever made.
Incidentally, this remembrance will contain more spoilers than a review of the new Saw film. But if you’re wary of spoilers of this game, then you clearly have no idea what I’m talking about, so give this review to someone who does.

Out of the gate, Wii Music, hasn’t been so hot. 66,000 thousand copies have been sold thus far. When compared to the sales of other casual success story games, such as Wii Fit (I know that most of you readers are gamers, but you can’t deny the fact that it is selling well) has sold 487,000 copies.
One would think Nintendo may be worried (or you gamers pray for it because maybe they will step away from this casual persona), but you would be incorrect. Hit the jump to find out why.
edit: For those wondering why I reported on the Mega Man 9 story… We had a poll here if you wanted to see more Nintendo news, rather than just Zelda news, and I think you can guess which side had more votes.
Yea you read that right. I know that a decent number of you downloaded Mega Man 9. By now most of you that downloaded the game should have beaten it. You’ve probably gotten the DLC for the game and beaten it on hard mode. You think you’ve found everything thing there is to know about the game. Be prepared to be knocked off your high horse!
The Interactive Story section of the site has been inactive for a while now, but it’s finally back in action! Thanks to one of our skilled ZU members, Crab Helmet, we now have a new interactive story called “A Dream of Things to Come”, about a shiekah named Deucalion who witnessed the battle between Link and Ganondorf.
Be sure to check it out, and if you wish to enter the next part of the story, anybody can do so. Just submit your entry here.
Before I begin this article, I would first like to clarify that what I am doing right now is reporting on a rumor. That is to say, like everything else on the Internet, this should be taken with galactic-sized piles of salt. Recently, rumors have been flying all over Zelda forums and Nintendo sites about the possibility of a new Zelda game in the works, according to an alleged interview which took place between Eiji Aonuma, whom many might recall was the director for Twilight Princess and most recently the producer of Phantom Hourglass, and an individual at IGN referring to himself as “Kyle.” The new game, code named “Project Deluge,” is scheduled to be announced at E3 2008 and is slated for a 2009 release date, if the rumor is to be believed. Having given my technical information about the interviewer, the interviewee, and the absolute verification of nothing but the fact that this is but a rumor, let us analyze some of the more interesting details given in the interview.
