Nathan, our good buddy over at arch-rival site ZeldaInformer, has posted a detailed article reiterating everything we’ve learned so far about Nintendo’s upcoming Zelda game for Wii. If you need a good refresher about what’s coming to the Zelda world in the future, check out his article. Think of it like a TV show episode that does nothing but recap the whole season.

Play-Asia.com - Buy Video Games for Consoles and PC - From Japan, Korea and other Regions

Two new Zelda sites have been added to our affiliates list. The first is The Sacred Realm, which has been exploding with activity lately, and the second is Zelda Chronicles, an old Zelda site which has only recently returned and is now focusing specifically on news.

Play-Asia.com - Buy Video Games for Consoles and PC - From Japan, Korea and other Regions

It’s about two years overdue, but ZU finally has its own complete Twilight Princess walkthrough up and running, thanks to one of our newest additions to the Site Staff, Ciroton.

He puts his own unique spin into the guide, and makes it both informative and entertaining, so if  you are stuck at a point in the game you should definitely check it out. The walkthrough can be found here.

Internet_Explorer_logo_oldIf you’re currently using Internet Explorer 6, I have some bad news to drop on you. If you’re not using the infamous browser, you can sit back and enjoy the news.

As of yesterday, Zelda Universe has officially dropped all support for IE6. This means that as we add features to the site and forums, as we refine the code to make the site and forums faster, and as we create new pages and guides for new Zelda games (like our Spirit Tracks section), we will not be checking to make sure that they “work” in Internet Explorer 6.

For the benefit of our newly-arrived forum brethren, I’d just thought I’d quickly remind everyone of our official ZU Facebook page, Twitter, and RSS feed.

After what feels like eons in development, the first version of a news “ticker” is now up and running on the ZU forums (so forum goers, click and read more!). That means even if you’re a ZUer who spends all his/her time on the forums, you can get your Zelda news without even having to visit the main site! Whether you’re reading this from the forums or from ZU’s front page, read on for a little more information.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Zelda community for a while, you should know Zelda Dimension. One of the more well-known Zelda sites, it won the Golden Light Arrow award for its outstanding community in 2008. Unfortunately, corruption in the database caused the site to lose its data, and it had to shut down during March of 2008.

Well, if you were a member of that community, good news for you – Zelda Dimension Webmaster Henry has just reopened the site in the form of Destination Zelda, and the new site has joined our list of affiliates. Good luck to them!

Play-Asia.com - Buy Video Games for Consoles and PC - From Japan, Korea and other Regions

The Design Inspiration has launched a page showing more than 30 distinctly different styles of Zelda artwork, ranging from realistic Links to super-cartoony Links to distorted Links to a Link that looks strangely similar to Waluigi.

You may recognize the site as the one with the similar page on different styles of Mario artwork back in June.

It’s very interesting, so you should check it out.

Play-Asia.com - Buy Video Games for Consoles and PC - From Japan, Korea and other Regions

It has come to our attention that our list of affiliated sites  has gotten a bit long, so we have split the other Zelda fansites from the more general sites, so that you can find the type of site that you are looking for more easily.

On a similar note, our affiliate VGRC has changed its name to the Zangaroa blog, and has moved away from gaming about towards more general subjects.

I must say, I surprise myself sometimes.  I have added another mailbag to the site, answering all those wonderful questions you sent to me.  Questions ranging from the Wii Zelda game that was announced, the timeline, and the interactive story.

You can view the mailbag here, and you can send some more questions here.

It’s not much of an update, but that’s all I have.  Until next time, enjoy the mailbag.
