The Official Nintendo Magazine answered questions from curious Zelda fans on their website. Most questions have to do with gameplay and there are no spoilers as far as the storyline is concerned (unless you’ve been living under a rock and not seen the trailers) so don’t be afraid to check it out. Also, The Official Nintendo Magazine’s next issue will include the very first review of Spirit Tracks, so if you want to check that out, pick up your copy on Friday.

Our Future Zelda forums are packed with interesting discussions about Spirit Tracks, so if you want to voice your opinions on Zelda and trains (lovely trains), that’s the place to go!

When it comes to talking about Phantom Hourglass, you might get a lot of mixed opinions. Some of us loved the game, while others didn’t take too kindly to it. For those of the latter view – like myself – you might have initially been somewhat skeptical about Nintendo’s next venture into DS Zelda territory. The way that Spirit Tracks was presented looked, to some of us, to be rushed. Behind the table, we scoffed at its presentation, and expected a repeat of Phantom Hourglass.

Nathan, our good buddy over at arch-rival site ZeldaInformer, has posted a detailed article reiterating everything we’ve learned so far about Nintendo’s upcoming Zelda game for Wii. If you need a good refresher about what’s coming to the Zelda world in the future, check out his article. Think of it like a TV show episode that does nothing but recap the whole season.

Recently, Club Nintendo offered a set of three Zelda posters in return for Club Nintendo Coins. One of the posters chronicled all of the different styles of Link through the ages, while the other two were from Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass.

Unfortunately, they were backordered, but it looks like they are now ready and arriving, so you should hopefully receive your Zelda poster set sometime this week.

It looks like Nintendo underestimated the number of people who would rush to order their Zelda poster series, because a large number of people are currently being told that their purchases are backordered.

Hopefully Nintendo won’t take too long in making enough to go around – after all, it can’t be too hard to simply print out more copies of the posters!

If you are a member of Club Nintendo, you can now purchase a set of three Zelda posters – the main attraction is a lineup of all of Link’s different artwork styles throughout history, and it also comes with the promotional posters for Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass.

Given the content, these posters could sell out quickly, so you should probably cash in your Club Nintendo coins as soon as possible if you are interested in obtaining them.

In 1989, Nintendo published a book based on the original Legend of Zelda game, titled The Legend of Zelda: Molblin’s Magic Spear. Well, a homebrew DS port has been made of it featuring music and narration.

Sounds like a good way to introduce the newer generation to Zelda, especially on long trips. Another version featuring the words instead of narration was also created, which you can view here.

If there’s one thing the Zelda series isn’t short of, it’s typography and fonts. With that in mind, we’ve gathered up a bunch of fonts related to Zelda and Nintendo and put them up for download. You’re probably familiar with a good deal of these fonts, but we hope we’ve found one or two that will surprise you.

Each font has a complete description and a waterfall-style preview. If you’re not sure how to install fonts, there are simple instructions on the page. We hope you enjoy the fonts collection and, as always, if you think we’re missing anything just let us know! For future reference, the Typography and Fonts page is on the left sidebar under Media.

It seems with Spirit Tracks so close to being released that sometimes we seem to forget the game is even coming out. Maybe it has to do with the disappointment in getting another handheld installment so soon after the previous while we wait even longer to even get a trailer of Zelda Wii. Maybe we just don’t like Phantom Hourglass, and thus assume we wont like Spirit Tracks. Or, maybe we just don’t play games on the Nintendo DS that much. Whatever the case may be it isn’t about to stop Spirit Tracks from bringing in awards.

Spirit Tracks won the “best of show” for the Nintendo DS at Gamescom 2009, beating out other titles such as Scribblenauts and Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. This is according to our friends over at IGN. Loathe it or hotly anticipate it, it appears that Spirit Tracks is a very solid title soon to be added to the Nintendo DS’s library.

Just here to post a mailbag, answering the questions of the masses.

I have no real fun way to post the mailbag this week, so I will just post it.  You can view the mailbag here.  In it, I answer questions about the Wii Zelda, the Timeline, other misc. questions.

Please send some more questions so that I can answer them.  It can be anything Zelda or Nintendo, and I will do my best to answer it.

That’s all I have for now.

Ever been stuck on a level of a game and got so frustrated you just gave up? Well, not anymore.

A patent was discovered in January (Created by Shigeru Miyamoto) that hinted that Nintendo would be making games a bit easier for casual gamers. And just last week, it was hinted that Nintendo would be implementing a system, starting with the New Super Mario Bros. Wii, that would make games easier for casual gamers. What is this new system, you ask? Read on.
