tingleshirtEver felt like you needed more Tingle in your life? Well, Japanese clothing company King of Games has released a Tingle t-shirt based on his newest game, Tingle’s Balloon Trip of Love.

Unfortunately, it comes at a high price. Excluding shipping, the shirt costs 4800 Yen, or about $52 US. It’s a nice design, but for that kind of price I’d rather just ship the new game itself over.

The clock with the Triforce pieces.

The clock with the Triforce pieces.

As Zelda fans, we often discuss, debate about the series and so on. As fans we can become very excited over news, whether it be a new game annoucement or something such as competitions and the like. In this case, people becoming excited over a possible new game is very much true. On January 14th, 2008, fellow ZU member TourianTourist had discovered a countdown page for a new game on Marvelous Entertainment’s website. As everyone has probably known by now, it depicts a triangle-shaped clock floating above the countdown. The hands on this clock did not point to numbers, but rather pieces of what appears to be the Triforce. A triangle shaped clock, Triforce pieces instead of numbers… the first thing to pop into your mind would probably be a new Zelda title being announced.

Apparently, Burger King will be carrying Wii Toys throughout December. Check them out.

I just happened to stumble across this one. Today on my way home from school (yes, I have school on Saturdays) I went to Burger King to try a Mushroom and Swiss Cheese Burger I had seen last week.
Inside Burger King they had 10 “Toys to make you move”. If you thought these were Wii toys, you’re right on the spot. They were all Mario themed, except for one mini-labyrinth with a Metroid Prime 3 background.

Link decides to reveal a surprising retro look for the decade celebration.

Link decides to reveal a surprising retro look for the decade celebration.

So I’ve been asked to do this now. I’ll be writing this in a completely different format from my usual reviews, partially because of the significance of the game I’m being asked to review, and partially because I only have two days to get this out. In case you couldn’t tell, November 21st is the tenth anniversary of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Regarded as one of the finest games ever designed, it has sold 7.6 million copies of its original N64 release, and has spawned almost half a dozen re-releases. It was also the first game to ever receive a perfect score from Famitsu, which in itself is regarded as the most respected video game reviewing magazine available. Yes, even I liked this game as a child, and I still do as an adult, so it’s incredibly difficult for me to say anything negative about this game. So, instead of all of that, we’re going to take a look at this juggernaut of gaming and see exactly what made it tick back then, what makes us remember it now, and how it came to be classified as one of the greatest, if not the greatest games ever made.

Incidentally, this remembrance will contain more spoilers than a review of the new Saw film. But if you’re wary of spoilers of this game, then you clearly have no idea what I’m talking about, so give this review to someone who does.
