Once again, we have updated our Spirit Tracks Characters and Items/Equipment pages to reflect the new information we have been given, and our Spirit Tracks Gallery has been updated with the new official art.

Next up are our Enemies and Bosses pages, which should be up-to-date by the end of the week.

If you are a member of Club Nintendo, you can now purchase a set of three Zelda posters – the main attraction is a lineup of all of Link’s different artwork styles throughout history, and it also comes with the promotional posters for Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass.

Given the content, these posters could sell out quickly, so you should probably cash in your Club Nintendo coins as soon as possible if you are interested in obtaining them.

Play-Asia.com - Buy Video Games for Consoles and PC - From Japan, Korea and other Regions

2ziphf5You probably recall the page we mentioned a week ago which showcased more than 30 styles of Zelda artwork – well, we’ve found another set, but this time it is all to the theme of Spirit Tracks. You can check it out here.

Personally, I liked the “Steamboat Willie” rendition of Link the best, though they are all well-drawn pieces of art.

Play-Asia.com - Buy Video Games for Consoles and PC - From Japan, Korea and other Regions

The Design Inspiration has launched a page showing more than 30 distinctly different styles of Zelda artwork, ranging from realistic Links to super-cartoony Links to distorted Links to a Link that looks strangely similar to Waluigi.

You may recognize the site as the one with the similar page on different styles of Mario artwork back in June.

It’s very interesting, so you should check it out.

broken-link-finalDavid Cousens from PSDFan has posted a Photoshop tutorial describing the process through which he created a pretty impeccable work of art depicting Link in his Deku Scrub form from Majora’s Mask. The artwork is top-notch, but the tutorial is not for the faint of heart. If you’re not 100% comfortable in Photoshop and lack artistic skill, I wouldn’t give this tutorial a go for yourself – but for looking into the fanart-making process, Cousens’s tutorial shines. Anybody looking to create Zelda fan art – or any art at all – could use the tips presented in his tutorial. Even seasoned artists might find a few basics they’ve been overlooking inside.

Check it out for yourself here. You won’t regret it!
