No, this is not a setup. Cody, the newest Webmaster of Zelda Universe, actually won an award for his work. Yes, I am as surprised as you are. Is it a conspiracy? Hit the jump and find out.

For those of you who are unaware, there are some new website awards in town that are not coming from the likes of  Exploding Deku Nut. Entitled Zelda Fansite Festival ’09 and hosted by Ordon Village, this new set of awards seek to go about things slightly differently while offering alternative awards to those presented by EDN.  Somehow, our sneaky devil of a webmaster got himself an award. Here is what he won, and the reasoning behind it:

Is this the face of someone you trust?

To announce our second winner for a Webmaster award, we’ll be naming the Most Productive Webmaster. This one will actually come as a surprise to many, as I know it came a surprise to myself that the staff chose this person.

This award, without further ado, will go to Cody of Zelda Universe! Cody, a new addition to the Webmaster team at Zelda Universe is quite a key part of it as exemplified as of late. Cody has taken on the ominous task of dealing with the community and relations. He has excelled thus far, and I think it’s fair to say we all look forward to seeing what Cody will do in the future. Congratulations on your first steps Cody, let’s hope you bring ZU even farther in the future.

In either case, congratulations oh mighty webmaster of mine. Your work has not gone unnoticed. Now if only you could actually get me to do my job… but alas, that’s a tale for another time.
