Hey dudes, it’s 2010! Unfortunately, there seems to be something missing from this brand new decade, like there’s a gap in the scene that no one seems able to fill. Until today, that is!
That’s right, we at the ZUBC sure know how to fill it – with a new podcast, of course! So what’s in this month’s edition? Hit the jump to find out!
- Power Shot interviews ZUBC’s new host, Mattocks.
- Zelda News with Nathaniel Rumphol-Janc (guest starring Cody)
- Comm. News with editor Aniday.
- Roundtable with Liah: What do you want to see/taken away from the usual Zelda formula in the upcoming Wii LoZ? (featuring webmaster of ZU Cody, webmaster of Zelda Dungeon Mases and ZU)
- Margar interviews Janus (former moderator on ZU).
- Hombre de Mundo discusses the impact of Spirit Tracks on the Zelda timeline (featuring ZU theorist Bitterlime).
- Cody’s Rant.
- Feedback with Margar and Liah.
You can also go here to listen via iTunes. The Janus interview had to be heavily cut due to time constraints, but you can listen to the full version of that here.
As always, any feedback is greatly appreciated – to do so, just drop an email to zubc[at]zeldauniverse.net
See you next time!

I still don't know who this is aimed at.

Zelda Universe members who like Zelda?
January 21st, 2010 at 9:20 pm
Ah, GKANG. Not understanding. Still. Alright, let me explain this to you:
The podcast is something put together by a group of community members in their free time. We don't promise to be professionals because we do this as fans for the love of the game and this site. The segments are contributions from various members–some to do with Zelda, some more community-based. Our target audience is the general ZU audience, obviously, and that can range between mid-teen to early 20s, so that's going to be broad. That makes sense since the LoZ has been around for a fair while, it'll have fans of different ages. Broad audience, broad content. If you're still confused, as you seem to have been for a while, feel free to send your feedback to zubc@zeldauniverse.net and we'll reply to you out loud in the podcast most likely.

God damnit Cody's voice is so boring. Please stop having him in every section.

Funny how we get a lot of comments about Cody being really funny. Leave him alone.

It was pretty interesting until cody's rant. I expected it to be funny : (

I don't have any problem with what Cody is saying or his voice in general, but I do often have a hard time hearing/distinguishing what he is saying.
He's sort of quiet and sounds a bit like he's muttering, which would be fine if I had some way of reading his lips (like in a cartoon), but when it's purely audio, I just can't follow him very easily when he has long bits. I want to like his sections, but it's hard to enjoy when I'm straining to understand.
It might just be me though. :<

I can't listen to it yet. I'm in a college dorm and the internet here is slower than hell. I can't get any videos (or in this case audio tracks) to load at all. I need to wait until tomorrow when I am in a different location.

wow you guys are freaks…that was rubbish
January 22nd, 2010 at 5:42 pm
If this post was made in the Zelda boards I would delete it for giving no explanation as to your opinion! If you don't provide proper feedback they can't improve.

you guys have probably said this already many times, but I guess I missed it. what happened to the first two original hosts, Link/Lunk and……how do spell this…….Asky? Askie? I think his real name was Conner. anyway, where'd they go? and wasn't there someone named Asia, or no, Aisia. or……something……
January 23rd, 2010 at 4:21 am
Connor is Lunk/Link. Asci is how it was spelled, although he has had it as Asskey. They're both still on the forums, but life happens.. Lunk got busy and didn't really think he could keep it up, and Asci preferred doing a more community-focused cast, as opposed to the Zelda-focused cast.
Asia is off being a big special Illustrator/artist (That woman is so farking talented!!). There are some folks on ZU who are still in contact with her.
But you know, life goes on, new people have to take over as others move on.

oh, okay. thats totally fine, but just out of curiosity, is there any chance of any of them comeing back? I kinda miss them. but if not thats completely understandable. I'm just wondering. I know there are more important things in life than Zelda, even if sometimes some people think otherwise.
