Following up on the award he won at the Game Developers Choice Awards in 2007, Japan has honored Shigeru Miyamoto with their Lifetime Achievement Award.
This award has been a long time coming, especially considering that Miyamoto has also been knighted by the French Minister of Culture in 2006, and has been featured as one of the most influential people in the world by Time Magazine. We’re glad to see that the Japan has finally recognized one of their own for such an astounding award. Here’s to the “Father of All Gaming”!

Congratulations to Miyamoto!! He certainly deserves it. My life would be a hell of a lot different without him. I might have been a Microsoft or Sony fanboy instead…
