Yes, in just three days all members of the American Club Nintendo will lose their Gold or Platinum status. Is this a bad thing? No, because members that were able to acquire Gold or Platinum status will be sent an unknown gift (one for Gold members and one for Platinum members).

If you’re a member of the American Club Nintendo and already have Platinum status, don’t register any more games until after June 30 so you can work on getting Platinum status again.

If you haven’t gotten any Status yet, you need to ask yourself: Is it worth it to register products like crazy now for an unknown gift? You might be sorry if you do, you might be sorry if you don’t. Give it some thought.
