January is Zelda Universe Novel Writing Month! (Woohoo!)



Welcome to ZuNoWriMo, where one attampts to write a 30,000 novella (no, not the soap opera) in a month. This time, the month is January.

The rules:

At the end of the month, you are expected to have a 30,000 word novella. Everything you write for ZNWM is supposed to be for ONE story. The goal isn't just to write 30,000 words in a bunch of different stories - you are working towards finishing a single, longform piece.

You should write to the best of your ability, as always - but it is recommended that you do not spend time on editing, because the purpose is to FINISH A LONG PIECE OF WRITING. As I've said before, always keep going. Don't get hung up on making it perfect - for now, you just want to get it done.

If you are posting a thread here make sure you have either [Or] (original fiction) or [fF] (zelda fan fiction) in the title, so we know who is gunning for what.

Signups last though January. You are recommended to sign up before or during January 1st, but may sign up any time in January. Realize that after January 1st you may have a more difficult time completing the 30,000 words.

Just curious, do we have to post it here in order to be valid, or is it a matter of honesty, like regular NaNo? Because I'm doing an original peice, and as ridiculous as it sounds, I'm kind of overly paranoid about plagerism. :/

It's highly encouraged to post in the ZuNo/NaNo section, and if you should meet the required number of words, you will have to show it to whoever's organizing ZuNo at the time (probably me) to verify that you did. If you really are worried about plagerism, then you don't have to post, but it will be rquested that you post in the progress thread (soon to be up)

May I reming you all that it is heavily suggested that you should post your ZuNo? It inspires a harder work effort amongst others and it's fun to see a novella slowly develop.

I'll sign you up right now, and if you don't finish it's alright. Last year, we had about twenty people who tried, and only four finished. It's a definite show of character just to try.
