Should we have a North American meetup in Toronto?

I feel the meetups have been biased towards places other than Canada. I think the North American members of ZU should come here to Toronto. What do you think?

I vote no because I haven't renewed my passport since 2004. If they hadn't changed the border laws, then things would be different.

Well, I'm in Mississauga, about next year this time I'll be in Hamilton. I doubt I'd be able to get to Toronto until I'm all moved out to Hamilton though =(

I myself could possibly make it to Toronto over the holiday's but it's not a sure thing. If there's enough participation I'd definitely be up for it...a ZU skiing/snowboarding trip would be interesting o_o

So you're expecting people from all over North America, a very large continent, to come all the way to Toronto, even if we live somewhere like Florida, just to make you happy?

Maybe instead of being selfish and expecting everyone in North America to come to Toronto just to please you, you could have a Toronto meetup, or a Canada meetup, or something.

Idiot, he was voicing his opinion. You don't like it, you didn't have to respond so harshly back. What TW is most likely thinking is you mean the ENTIRE North America haul butt up to Toronto for a meetup.

North America is a pretty large continent and I don't think you would get that many people from the US to head up north, especially when it involves using a passport. It's great that you would like to host a meetup in your area, just don't become so defensive over a no to your idea.

Why not just a southeastern Canada/northern US Midwest meetup in Toronto? :3

That'd probably work. What exactly do people do at these meetups? Play Brawl and talk about Zelda? I don't know, I've never attended one (and probably never will unless there's one in Central Europe, preferably in Budapest).

Well I never implied that people from the States had to come. Obviously you can chose to come or not. I'm only suggesting that anyone able to should come here. Besides Americans can be very ignorant about Canada and I think some American uses could get a good dose of reality.
