Sydney - Saturday June 21

Liah, Ryuta Z, Knightlark and I are going to Supanova Pop Culture Expo. If anyone wants to come along with us you're more than welcome. Just say if you're interested and we'll organise to meetup out the front or something in the morning.

Dreamworld, Gold Coast - Saturday June 28

Liah, Bex, Pani and I are going to Dreamworld on June 28 at the Gold Coast. If anyone wants to come along, you're more than welcome. Again, say if you're interested and we'll organise to meet out the front in the morning.

You would have to cover costs of entry to each thing yourself.

Dreamworld entry cost is $66

Supanova entry cost is $20

I like how your supanova thing is held on the week before holidays start. That's what I call "silly".

Week before the holidays in Queensland start. Sydney is in New South Wales, whose holidays start two weeks after Supanova.

10am, huh? Sounds good. I'll try to be there at about 9.30 or so, in that case, just to be sure. Any word on what we'll be doing/how long we'll be doing it/other plans? I've never actually been to one of these pop culture expo things, myself...

Also, do you guys want me to take a photo of myself or something and post it here so you can recognise me? Liah and I know what each other looks like, but it might help some still.

I've not been to one myself either. I was thinking we'd just play it by ear, see what's on offer, I know I want to get in on an author session, that's about as far as I've planned.

A picture would be helpful, feel free to either post it here or PM it if you like.

We should get there on time, we're traveling from Bathurst to Sydney that morning, leaving at 5 am which should put us at Sydney at 8 am if all goes well. Supanova doesn't open until 10 am anyway so gives us some time to rest.

Not really any different-looking from last time I posted a pictar on here (aeons ago lawl), but there you go.



I checked out the supanova site. Looks like a few interesting things are going on. I'm interested mainly in the Pokemon TCG and EBgames stuff, but there's also some Star Wars stuff that I didn't really look into that I might or might not want to check out, depending on what it actually is. EB will apparently have Brawl, and Pokemon will have a card tourney at around 1pm. Not TOO interested in the tourney since I know from my old TCG days that those take hours, but I still want to check it out because it's likely I'll run into some old friends there, and I may just jump in for a few rounds if the tourney's looking to be short.

I plan on taking a couple of GCN controllers (on the off-chance that EB isn't using them and will let us use our own), some random pokemon deck I have lying around, and my DS. For DS I have Pokemon Diamond, Phantom Hourglass, Mario Kart DS, so if any of you guys bring yours we could do some of that too.

That's about it. I think I covered everything I intended to. See you guys tomorrow.

Well not yet, still got the next meet-up on Saturday. Are you coming to that? You can come to that if you want. Liah says she wants to meet you. So yeah, there will be many photos to be seen next week some time. So far the meet up is going swimmingly. Much fun has been had and many innuendos have been said.

If I had been told anything about the Dreamworld thing, I'd say yes. If somebody can actually tell me times and stuff, I'd be more than happy to show up on the doorstep demanding hugs from Malia.

But alas, old habits die hard. (Does anybody actually feel like telling me what's going on, or am I going to have to wait until the day after to find out again?)
