SoCal Meetup 2009: That was awesome! See you at Disneyland this Winter.

Ok, guys, it looks like it's our time...

If any of you are from Southern California (LA/OC/Riverside/San Diego/San Bernadino, etc), or if you just want to come OUT to Southern California, we're going to be having a meetup fairly soon. :3

We'll have to work around traffic a bit, but it shouldn't be hard to manage. If we started in the afternoon on a weekday, we could probably go until fairly late in the evening and be all right. :3 Of course, this is all going to accomidate a large number of people (I hope...), so we'll see how this all flows.

Current Location: Orange, CA

Willing to travel to: Anywhere that's below wine country, not across an ocean, and not too far into Mexico, Arizona, or Nevada. :3

Availability - Any time! I have work at night but can always take a day off, and if I have class that day I can always skip it. The earlier we do the trip, the better. I'm supposed to be starting a *lot* of classes in September and will still be working full time then as well. This summer, I'll probably only be taking one. :3

Preferred Locations: I've never been to Legoland or Seaworld or Hearst Castle or the Winchester House... but again, I can always go there on my own if it's too far out of the way for a large group. I have an annual deluxe pass to Disneyland, so I'm always up for that too. :3

Transportation: I've got a car. I can drive somewhere and even pick up a few people and shuttle them around if need be (would prefer to shuttle over-18s, but will drive under-18s as well as long as I meet their parents first). :3

So, come on, guys, let's get a meetup going! :3 Toss some ideas out there, fill out the doofy form above, and let's see what we can toss together! :3

Kasuto Update!: Our trip is for Six Flags on Saturday, 20th June!

If you are able to help with giving rides, please say so in this thread. Then, if anyone needs a ride, we'll sort out who will be most convenient.

-The world-wide meetup (Where we have several meetups who will try to contact each other or something) is starting to go underway. We might either make our meetup part of the "Extravaganza," or we'll have them at separate times (which will probably be within a week of each other) Which do you prefer?

Edits: Uh, Long Beach area would probably be the best for me. Since I'd probably go down there with my mom now that she is also planning on going (and taking two seperate cars would be a waste of gas.) And I'd love to take Rems to Knotts Berry Farm. :3 Long as it's not too hot.

Then how come you post? There is seriously no reason to post unless you do happen to be living on the westerly portion of the US.

Update: 21st of July is looking better. My motherly figure is preventing me from going any earlier. And dental appointments.

So, let's set a tentative date for mid-July. Sometime in the week of the 21st, I suppose. As we get closer to the date (say, by mid-June), we can pick a particular day and time. :3

Obviously, if we're going to Disney or a theme park, we'll have to work this shindig around the park hours and rush hour traffic. Please don't forget to post *where* you guys are from so that we'll have an idea of how long your commute will be and what we need to do to avoid major traffic delays. :3

I'm game. I live in Los Angeles. The only potential problem I might have is transportation.

I'll already be heading on a route up the 5 from Orange to Ventura. A stop in LA will be nothing when that's already planned. :3

If anyone else needs rides, just say so. :3 The car will be getting a bit crowded, but I think we'll all manage - and if worst comes to worst, I think there's a 7-seater I can borrow. :3
