I've been looking also at train tickets, and they seem to be a little (Well, A LOT actually) cheaper than I expected them to be. The only problem is that, looking ahead, the train I'll need to take leaves at midnight on the 20th and arrives in Chicago at 9 AM on the 20th, a day before the meet-up.

Would there be anyway that you could pull a soccer mom and pick me up from the Amtrak at that time, while providing residence for TWO WHOPPING NIGHTS! Or is that a bad no-no?

I confirmed that Eric will let us use his apartment Saturday night,

so we can still do that, but I only want at most three people over for Friday night, since that will have to happen at my house, and I know my parents won't be comfortable with it. Nox gets dibs on one of these slots since he's coming from far away.

If you're fine with staying at the Amtrak station for about five hours while I'm at work, that's fine with me. I work in the city, so it's actually pretty ****ing convenient. Looks like you get slot two of the my house adventures. :3

Nox, when would you be arriving at the Amtrak station? If it's before 2, then this could be absolutely brilliant.

Talked to my dad last night, and from what I can tell (and this is totally not stolen from Dom in any way ) ...



It's a "most-likely yes" right now, but I'm pretty sure I can make it. Now I've just got to get the money to go, while planning the best route to get up there (train most likely). And I don't mind waiting, since the last Amtrak station had a lot to do. Though if you just leave me there forever and ever, heads will roll! And I get slot 2?! I have a feeling that week's going to be EPIC!

...I'm not going to even bother asking my mom. I mean, I have family in Chicago who can supply me with a room, and they aren't far from Millenium Park.

But. My mom would think it is creepy, and that you guys would rape me ^^;;

Good news: I should have my car by then (in fact, hopefully by the end of this month) so a roadtrip would be awesome. Also, should have money for cheap hotel and whatnots.

Bad news: Stepmom is planning on taking me to California to meet my dads family sometime in June.

Hahahaha your right there Zarah, there sooo many cheap Motels in this area. Well it would be awsome if you came^_^ I still dont know if i can make it and all. Its not a bad thing becasue i live in Chicago its easier for me to be able to make it on short notice but i think my friends are coming over from then UK on these dates so i am not sure what i am doing yet...unless you guys dont mind meeting a gang of crazy brits hahaha

Looking at the train I want to go on, I'll be arriving at 12:15 and if I factor in some chance that there will be some freight holding up the line, then I'll probably be there before 2:00. I'll be ordering my tickets soon or whenever my rebate check comes in.
