So-Cal Meetup: Disneyland -This winter, like we promised.

So sense it took forevaar to plan the trip last time I thought I'd start this one early so we have a couple months to plan.

Of course anyone from ZU can decide to go if they want and I'm expecting the same people from the Magic Mnt trip.

I'm making this thread because I happen to be a Disneyland fan I have a Annual Pass and all that. I go all the time and know where everything is, know when to go, know how to plan which rides to go on and when, and know what the parks going to be up to during various times of the year. Blah blah blah.


Time
I believe last time we met we said we wanted to visit Disneyland sometime in December. Now going during Christmas break isn't too smart for a large group. It's of course going to be crowded as hell. So, I strongly suggest going in the beginning of December on perhaps a Friday or Sunday? Saturdays are crowded, too.

Now during the Holiday months they're going to have the Christmas theme going all over the park like usual which will be cool. Like right now they just started the Halloween theme. They changed a few rides to go with the spooky theme and changed the fireworks up a bit. They do similar things for the Holidays.

Question
I'd like to know if people would want to hop to California Adventure, too (which is right next to Disneyland for those of you who are unfamiliar) I'll tell you right now Cali Adventure isn't nearly as good as Disneyland, and there are only a couple good rides. Also, it opens later and closes a couple hours before Disneyland.
If any of you think it's worth it you can buy a one day park Hopper ticket which is more expensive than the regular $69 one day Disneyland ticket. If you happen to have any kind of pass than you have nothing to worry about, of course.

Though, I have a feeling most of you wouldn't want to buy a park Hopper ticket just for the couple hours we might or might not spend at California Adventure.

Random stuff
Parking At Disneyland is $12 for normal cars and motorcycles. If you happen to have a Premium pass you'll know parking is free. So be sure to plan that in your expenses.

Also if I'm the only one with an annual pass I may be able to get people some Discounts on restaurants or merchandize. I forget the specific rules on sharing my Discount. I'll find out later.

I am officially updating the time to go on a weekday during the first or second week in December. Speak up if you have date suggestions or if you have a problem with a weekday. Maybe Friday the 4th?

Well, sadly, I don't think this Canadian will be attending this SoCal meetup. But if there's still gonna be one in the summer, then I'll be there. A plane ticket to SoCal in December would be close to 900 bucks, and I just ain't got the time to safe up for it, sadly - and seeing how it will be Christmas which means present buying time!

But anyways. I hope you guys get this one underway and I hope it's a blast. :3

I will think about attending this meet up. Disneyland and the like are really expensive though.

We can offer rides for up to three people, and we're in the Riverside area.

It's too early for me to know if I'll be ther. After all, I need to make a 3-4 hour trip to get there. Not to mention that if I want to go I have to convince to my family. If my brother fomr texas comes over then there's a chance I'll be there. Otherwise...

Who knows where I could get a good deal on some tickets? I'm broke (sort of).

Come! The more the merrier! But I get what you’re saying about price. But if you’re smart you wont have to spend too much after your ticket if you don’t mind eating junk food. Haha.

It’s hard to find deals on tickets. I’ll look into it for you though. An unlikely suggestion would be to find someone with a 3 or 5 day pass and convince them to give you one of their days.

My school offers them at a discounted price, but I don't know how much. I can check if they still sell them, what price, and if they're transferable, Xeno.

If it's a significant amount, that would be great. But if it's just five to ten dollars, don't bother yourself with it.

As I am supposed to go on a trip November, and February I doubt my work would allow me to take another week off. They are still kinda ticked I got stuck in Chicago last time.

I know the 4th of December is a Friday. If in fact, that is the day i get to Disneyland, that would be a good day for the meetup. Its a weekday and its in the first week of December! *uber hint hint*
