A question to the ladies.

Would you look down on your boyfriend/fiancé/significant other if he had long hair and styled it like a girl(curls, wavy hair, etc.) or if wore concealer?

Hell no! Well I'm a dude, but it still applies. If you really love that person, you'd look beyond the outward appearance.

Androgynous blokes can be really sexy. But in the case of my significant other? Yeah i think i would object. Such things just...dont fit him. Hes too masculine in features. He would just look ridiculous. Overall though, nah mang. Nothin' wrong with looking good.

I think it comes down to personal preferences, but as for me, I really like guys who have awesome hair. That's my sweet spot, so to speak. (: I don't really like the stereotypical thinking of "guys short hair, girls long-ish hair", it's plain stupid.

Long hair looks good on most of guys, imo. ^^

I have long, curly hair myself. I've never used a comb or anything similar in my life. I don't style it with anything either. It is like it is. People usually don't believe me when I say it.

As for whether people "looking down" on you. I can't really say that I've experienced it. It's mostly the opposite. Most females I've spoken to about it is extremely positive to long hair on men. This will of course depend on who you talk to and where you are. However, it's generally a sign of nature and fertility. And the long hair itself isn't exactly feminine.. it's been quite normal up through the ages. In several warrior cultures as well. Vikings and samurai, just to mention two.

I think long hair looks good on pretty much everyone as well. I've never heard a comment about looking feminine, but facial hair and a hammer of Thor might contribute somewhat in that area.

Another thing. You have the whole fantasy subculture as well. I don't think many would call Aragorn, Boromir og Eddard Stark feminine.

I think long hair on a guy is hot, but I lean more towards straight or wavy than full on curly (as in Thor good, Carrot Top bad).

If he's wearing concealer for something like a bad scar or break out, I wouldn't be that concerned. But if it's just to look prettier, no thanks. I don't even like makeup on myself let alone a guy.

I kinda would've found it strange if he did. It's not like he shouldn't have his own thing, but I would find it a bit weird. Worse if he cheated on me though.... with another man.

I wouldn't mind him wearing concealer. As for long hair...well, I'm not usually a fan of long hair on guys unless they're an anime character, but it really depends on whether it suits him or not.

It's not even that. Sometimes scars and bruises and stuff can lead to great conversations and great stories. Also for some things like scars can be motivational tools or constant reminders to stay on whatever path they choose.

lol last time I checked, not every chick hid her scars with makeup either. Maybe it's just your idea of "masculinity sucks because I'm trying to be innovative", but I've seen a lot of chicks with scrapes or cuts or scars or some ♥♥♥♥ and they don't hide it.
