ZUCAST - the "NOW HIRING" thread!

Heyyy hey,

I've been flooded with requests regarding how people can take part in the Podcast and if there are any "jobs" going,

OfFICIally, we have the core staff we believe we need to create the cast.

However, we ARE in need of, and looking for a RECORDER

Basically, the job description for that is -- to be available during recording sessions and be in charge of recording all the takes and retakes we go through before passing them to me.
We currently have Dom and Fox McCloud as recorders - but they aren't always able to be available at the same time, and we're always in need of there being at least TWO people recording at one time- one a backup just in case.

So.. do you have a recording programme and are able to be around in a week's notice for a 2-3 hour recording session?
Would love to hear from you.

Also --

I'd like to stress that we're ALways on the lookout for new ideas for segments and submissions from you. Whether just ideas for us to carry out or segments yOU want to record yourself. Submit them to us and we'll give 'em the go ahead and/or amendments to make 'em kickass!

Would also like to remind you that we welcome any musical compositions by yourself, either Zelda themed or not- it might fit perfectlly for a segment and you'll be fully credited! ^____^

Well, this is cool. I'd like to record some music for the podcast. I can play good music on the clarinet, Zelda and non. IF you'd like me to, I could do that and send it to you.

Just make sure that, in order to do your music justice, the recording is as clear as you can get it to be =)

^_^ I'll be able to. My recorder/ mp3 player has a setting to where it can record and take out the fuzzy sound, thus making it the clearest sounding you'll ever hear.

I would firstly like to say, I think this podcast is an awesome idea and is really bringing the comunity closer together, which of course a good thing.

AH! you took my line, I was about to suggest we add a music thing to the podcast. I think we should all wright a song about ZU. That would be alot of fun.

And by the way, does anybody know of a good audio hosting site so that I could post audio files? I tried tindeck audio, but it doesn't seem to work on my computer.

I am interested in being a recorder. I do have recording software, but how will the person's voice come my way so I could record it?

Since I'm jobless and school-less and will be for at least several months, I can be online at ANY time of the day, and I'm already involved with the podcast. I'm fine with recording it all.

I would like to do some music for the podcast, but not with my own instruments because my recording equiptment sucks. It would be with a program that uses instrument samples for Orchestra instruments, so unfortunately no electric guitars

It would be of very high quality digital music and it can be whatever you want me to make. Zelda or video game music is desired on my part, but if there is some song, I can try.

Slur, you can pretty much submit it to any of the podcast members via pm or in I suppose this thread. We'll bring it up with the others and see if it's up to snuff enough that we'll use it. You'll get credit and everything like that. (not sure about the banner I doubt it though)

The software on my comp records direct from the sound card (not the microphone) so guaranteed high quality sound. I'm not gonna tell you what I normally use it for *cough*youtube*cough* because thats just not relevant. :XD Oh and it gets saved direct into MP3, no converting.

All types, including Windows Sound Recorder, can record from output rather than input.

Well . . . . I'm not a recorder but if you guys need another editor I'm the one to ask

I'm good at reviewing scripts and stuff, checking for grammer errors and making sure things make sense so it doesn't sound like our wonderful commentators are stumbling over themselves because something doesn't make sense (I've had that happen to myself, and I know it sucks)
