Ok,
You know how we can't all visit ALL the sections and threads within ZU daily? and can't be part of all the groups and know the latest in drama, interesting discussion, challenges, achievements, revolutions etc etc in ALL the wee forums and communities?

Well, this is where YOU come in.

Come across anything interesting you think can be mentioned in the news or within the podcast in general? seen any phenomenal artwork or fiction that everyone seems to be overlooking and SHOuldn't be? Anyone shaking up the BA? Anything profound uncovered in I:SB? (not just revelations but extreme and admirable stupidity? >_>); Any competitions or announcements we might not have picked up on?

That's what this thread is for!

News from the clan arena: Nayru is pulling ahead in the guess the character thread. The current score is as follows: Nayru - 18 Din - 3 Farore - 4 For those of you that don't know what this is then let's explain. This is where you post a riddle about a zelda character and people need to guess the answer. The first to 25 wins! Nayru might be ahead but there's still time to snatch victory away. Go Din and Farore! And for Nayru: Keep it up!

What's that I hear? An uproar in the theorizing section?: From a thread made by The Hero a wild call of battle unleashes. The Hero says that and I quote:

Controversy in the console club: A thread made by zeldask8r yesterday lead people to the question that many parents and kids are asking: Does gaming affect your health? Although most of the people who post there say no one mister Blizzaga pointed out that certain genres affect the beat of your heart. I quote what he researched a while ago:

In the comicless corner... Vega has started a discussion of Identifying Mental Illnesses in the I:SB section. This topic is not off to a good start, with only one reply so far.

Timeline or no Timeline, that is the question! In the therioizing section, the discussion of a true LoZ timeline's existance continues with Hombre de Mundo quoting Azerik on the second and third points of his post.

I could either or, or maybe even both! I'm sorta leaning toward interviews related to news, however, as I've already sent a PM to set one up with Poojalooba_cow(sp?) about his soon to be League of Anti-Quitters.

OKay, here's my follow up interview with poojalooba_cow.

Venomous Ninja: Why were you inspired to create the League of Anti-Quitters?

poojalooba_cow: First off, I haven't completed an actually notable game (games against n00bs don't count) for well over two weeks. The other party ALWAYS ended up quitting. It ticked me off to the point of wanting to do something about it, and lo and behold, I'm a member of a 20,000-some-odd group of devoted Zelda fans! I figured that, drawing from such a large group, there would be at least a few who felt similarly to me about how things were going in the PH multiplayer. So, my idea was born and I worked on refining it for a few days before I posted it on the forums today.

VN: Do you expect your idea to catch on, with other Video Game fans
creating similar bands on other forums, or possibly in the General
Gaming section of Zu?

P_C: I certainly hope that it will catch on. I think it's a good idea that can be beneficial for everyone, not just the veteran players, and I hope people from other places online will eventually realize this as well. Once the hype of a newly-released game subsides a little, and people start playing for fun rather than prestige and power, things might get a little better, but I can hardly expect everyone to become a non-quitter overnight. Even a while from now, when there are lots of people out there who want to play for fun, there will still be quite a few people who will quit if they're losing.

VN: Do you expect alot of people to become Phantom Hourglass Non-Quitists?

P_C: I'm not sure. There are certainly plenty of Zelda fanatics on ZU, and I'm hoping some of them might decide that it's a good thing. I've specifically got Dark Link, littlelink3, HelmarocKing, and a few others in mind, but I'm hoping many more will see the light and join up. I'm not trying to burst my own bubble right now, but given the relatively small consequences for quitting, and the big losses you stand to incur when you lose against a lesser-experienced player, I don't think the League will be too popular. However, any group of people who don't quit is better than no group at all.

VN: Have you done anything similar to this before, or anything that could
have or did benefit Zu's community?

P_C: Um... Well, I went inactive for a little more than a year in between things. I've been a fairly regular poster there... I haven't had too much recognition or anything like that, but that's not a rare occurrence. Not many other people have, either. The few slightly notable things I remember are me being a runner-up for most annoying sig (I can't see why anyone wouldn't love my hordes of cows!) in the ZU Awards of Summer 2006, and I helped out in the "Cruzade" against spam in December 2005. Other than that... No.

VN: Do you agree to appear on the ZU Podcast if called upon to comment on
any of your answers or any of my questions?

P_C: Certainly! Just one question for you in return: When you say podcast, do you mean like a text-cast or a voice-cast? I'm up for either (I've got a nice microphone that I built myself that I can use), or I can type it in, or whatever. But that sounds cool, and I'd be more than willing to participate.

VN: I'm pretty sure it's a voice-cast.

Well, morning by Aussie time. Here we go:

This is a report on the contests and similar goings-on around ZU. First up is a report on the Clan Arena.

The Official Guess That Zelda Character Thread : The current standing over there is still Nayru way in the lead at 18 points, then Farore with 4, and Din bringing up the rear with 3. It's been like this for some time, since Yamari put up a riddle that's been there for 6 days, and no-one's been able to guess it. Think you can break the deadlock and solve Yamari's riddle? Then head on over!

Next up is the Guess the Pokemon thread. This one's really close, with Nayru winning on 37, Farore just one point behind at 36, and Din hanging around the back at 24. Farore and Nayru have been almost neck and neck for some time, but Din have been hanging around just behind...this is still anyone's thread. If you think you can win the thread for your clan, head on over and try your hand at pokemon riddles!

Heading back a bit, the Guess the super mario character thread is starting to fall down the list a bit. Farore and Nayru are on top at 3 points apiece, with Din just behind on 2. If someone doesn't pop up here soon, this thread is going to be dead. So someone head over and save it in the name of their clan! But do hurry...it'll only be there for a couple more days at the most.

Well, that's all the scored threads in the Clan Arena at the moment. The Mario one will most likely be dead soon, though. The current overall clan tally is sitting at Din on 29, Farore at 43, and Nayru currently in the lead with 58 points. The Zelda Character thread is where Nayru's big lead lies, all the other threads are pretty close.

In other news, the BA tournament's finals are currently underway. The matchup is between Altamira's character Madrigal, and Power Shot's Chronos. It's still early days, so it's not really possible to pick a leader. When it gets going, it ought to be good, though, so stay tuned.

There has been talk of a Phantom Hourglass tournament recently, but the associated thread has been out of action for some time. I'm sure there are many people willing to participate in a PH tourney, but it appears timezones have messed up this tournament. If someone would set up a PH tourney and see it through to the end, that would be appreciated.

Lastly, some of you may have noticed the Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament taking shape. About 20 days or so after SSBB comes out, the tournament will hopefully be held. Something to look forward to for all you super smash fans.

Well, that's just about it. Don't forget, you can start up your own online tournaments for whatever game, and I'll quite happily find it and tell everyone about it! This gets boring if it's just the Clan Arena every week, so get those tourneys going! Until next time.

FSQ, now with more questions!: A stunning response to two different threads.

The first one is a petition made by Garo_Master. He wants a petition to change the name of the sprite gheto. He wants it to be a less racist name and thinks that it should be changed because not all comics try to be funny.

Second is a thread made by The Ganondorf. He states that we should have more ranks. Now, it has been said that if someone passes 1000 posts they might be useful. Though, on the counter, it has been said that you can change your rank after 120 posts so there's no point on doing this.

Think you have something to add? Go and say your opinion! There's both found in the Feedback, Suggestions and question forum so there's no problem.

The only thing I can think of for you Mr. Random is that you should underline or bold a title on your paragraphs. Because at a glance when I see yours it seems like one long story though when you see mine you can see the underlined titles.
