ehm, people, you all should remember that OOS was originally planned to be a LOZ remake. Could this help figuring out something?

Only if we consider the map's features in terms of Hyrule. For example: if Tarm was in in the game before the area became Holodrum, could that mean there was an ancient civilization in Hyrule at one time? It's irrelevant to the similarities between tMC and OoS unless Capcom was under the impression that OoS was the new canon LoZ map, as tMC and OoS are much closer than tMC and LoZ-- so much more similar that it almost seems intended, as far as Capcom goes.

There probalbly was, judging by all the various ruins and abandoned temples there in the country! Maybe not a civilization, as such... but many of the temples built are far ahead of the technology at the time...

(I mean nothing in Hyrule is as impressive as the Spirit Temple, and the Gerudo haven't built anything to compare to it.)
