Re: The Forest Temple (OoT)

Hyperactivity, there was a cutscene in Faron Woods near the Forest Temple wher Rusle says, "How the world has changed." When saying this, is literally makes sure the cutscene shows the Forest Temple when he mentioned the way everything has changed. I often think of this as a reference to the changes that fell upon Hyrule, involving the temple, too.

I'm not going into detail because I'm sock if it, but what I am saying is that the Forest Temple was most likely overgrown. Note: it had trees growing inside of it and pan life was confusming it. Both of them have the exact same enterence (the first bit before the main area of the temple), for a start. We're talking super goegraphy changes. Notice the ruins near the Forest Temple? STONE ruins? The huge chasms?

I looked at both maps and briefly comparisoned them both- not only are they both one floor, but they match up uite nicely, having some of the same rooms as each 0ther- in the same place, same shape, same size. A lot happened after Ocarina of Time. For a start, notice how the Forest Temple in Twilight Princess is split in two and sepperated by a massive chams that needs bridges to connect it? The stone ruins around? And how the forest area has dramaitcally apparnatly shifted south, and the huge chams all over the place? I'm just saying that the Forest Temple has been overgrown and had its interior structure destroyed, overgrown by plant life and thr trees growing inside the temple, ect..

I just think the building fell victim to nature. People believe Lakebed Temple is the Water Temple and Goron Mines is the Fire Temple, so it is logical to accept the Forest Temple, too. Heck, it's the only one that kept its original name!

Please note- it, interingly, actually is called the Forest Temple. If it wasn't the same (despite the name and similarities), where the hell is the other Forest Temple? Nowhere to be found. I just think the forests had a dramatic change.

Re: The Forest Temple (OoT)

LoZ has two Forest Temples

LoZ's Manji Dungeon (near the orange forest) = TP Forest Temple
LoZ's Moon Dungeon (green forest) = OoT Forest Temple

Re: The Forest Temple (OoT)

I see what you mean, Potent, but many Zelda dungeons share that same feature. And it's not as if the torches open some big secret, they just reveal a chest. I think if they were trying to draw similarities, they would have done more with the torches, and made that second room much larger.

Considering that the exact same eye symbol is used in many areas within Ocarina of Time, it's safe to assume that it is generic, and without added meaning. Very much like a switch.

What do you mean? I saw no similarites in the manner of entrance, or indeed the construction of the Temple. The latter temple of Twilight Princess appears to be partially entangled within a tree trunk of some sort, and is filled with wooden structures. Ocarina of Time's temple is a stone, mansion style building.

The chasms establish that there are chasms, and the stone ruins you mention, from memory are minimal. I don't remember anything other than floor tiles halfway visible through grass. However, if you are referencing something else, I will check myself as soon as I can.

No, it isnt logical to accept another theory because totally different ones appear sound. For my own sake however, I would have some objections with those theories too. Although I haven't really considered the Goron mines previously. I'm afraid that the forest temple name is very generic, and the differences far, far outweigh similarites.

Considering the backwards storytelling there is no telling what is safe to ignore

The second room of the Forest Temple in Twilight Princess is just about the exact same size as the second room of the Ocarina of Time Forest Temple- the maps show otherwise. But when you playing the game, the second room is BIG.

The room is not big in TP.

Re: The Forest Temple (OoT)

It IS big. I just bloody saw it earlier on! It's just as big as the second room in Ocarina of Time! Go and play the game, and go into the second room. It is a big room.

The second room is just ass big as the second room in Ocarina of Time. I'm not refering to the whole temple!

This is a stupid argument. But I'm aware.
The fact still remains: Entry way to bigger room was not a formula specific to the Forest Temple. Nor was four torches. I see what you're saying, but I believe it to be a bit of a stretch. I feel as though the ruins outside the ToT make a lot more sense.

Re: The Forest Temple (OoT)

Well, I disagree. I think it's a very good possibility. And until better evidence presents itself I'm putting my foot down on that.
