i pretty much believe that its instant death, though judging from the ending credits, it could be just like a long term dying.

from what some people say and how the game displays the Deku Tree, I think that they don't actually die if they leave the Kokiri forest. I think the Deku Tree said that to "scare" them from leaving the forest and getting hurt (because its dangerous and the Deku Tree is a parent like that)

Okay TriforceLegacy. I did some research and I found out that anyone that isn't Kokiri does indeed turn into a Stalfos. Under the conditions that they become indefinitely lost in the lost woods. Just like the Kokiri turn into Skull Kids if they become indefinitely lost. =p However, what I don't understand is if they're lost, shouldn't they be exclusive to the Forest Temple??? I think that they were in the Shadow Temple on the floating boat. Which doesn't make sense because that would mean that they weren't really lost.

UNLESS, it probably means that their souls, not just their physical being, become indefinitely lost. In which case, I can see how the Shadow Temple would have that effect on people.
