Kamaro, Majora, and the Manga - The Connection

First, let me start by stating that I am not treating the manga as canon in any way, shape, or form. I am theorizing about the intentions of the manga's writers.

And awaaaaay we go!

The other day, I was humming Majora's Theme, and then I switched to Kamaro's Theme, and because I am completely tone-deaf, they came out basically the same. I came to the realization that Kamaro's Theme is basically a simplified version of Majora's Theme.

Now I doubt that the makers of the game meant anything by this, and quickly I dismissed the thought of it. Then I remembered the origin of Majora according to the manga,* and then realized how hypnotic Kamaro's dance was supposed to be. (Even a stony-faced gate guard was entranced by it.) Some might say it's power was almost . . . demonic. (Note it also shares some minor similarities to the dance of Majora's Incarnation.) This leads me to believe that the writers of the manga tried to imply that Kamaro was somehow connected to the warrior who defeated Majora, and his dance was the dance of Majora.

*According to the manga, there was a man-eating demon who's armor, if touched, would grant the wish of the toucher. However, none could defeat the demon and touch the armor. Then one day, a wandering warrior came to the demon and played it a song. The demon liked the song so much that it danced for three days and nights, until it died. The warrior then took the armor and rejected his wish, carving the armor into a mask, in the hopes that it would never plauge the world again.

Hmm this sounds plausable when you use the in-game clues. The Manga doesn't even seem necessary for this theory. I doubt Kamaro was evil however, who knows where he learned the dance? And who knows what the troupe itself intended to use it for? They could be merely using it's magic to captivate their audience for showbusiness. I believe there is a connection. Thanks for pointing this out!

Exactly. Maybe Kamaro's a decendant of the warrior, and the dance was passed down from generation to generation.

I was thinking more along the lines of Kamaro, being a dancer, would naturally study various dances from all around. He may have come accross that dance with the same music as Majora's theme and learned it. While the dance may have been made originally for evil hypnotic purposes, Kamaro used the possible hypnotic powers to make them famous through the dance, (or he or the Rosa Twins may not even know it's power).

(This is all assuming that Kamaro's Dance DOES have a power or hypnotic ability.)

Well, not exactly hypnotic. More like, enticing. The Rosa sisters didn't fall into a hypnotic trace, but were instantly taken with the dance. Bad choice of words on my part.

Thank you, Beemnorv. SVB, I've been noticing you dismissing a lot of theories as fan-fistion without cause lately. It's really not very fair. You don;t vene explain why you feel that way.

He says it is fanfic because there is no evidence for it other than the fact that they have similar themes.

That's what makes it a theory.

Fan-fic is like a whole story dedicated to filling in details between two events.

Fanfic has no proof and is purely made up. Theories have proof to them but haven't been proven.
The fact that they have similar themes means nothing.

And also, if you scramble Kamaro's name, you can get Makora. Discuss.

Still. It seems more like a completely random thought than fan-fic.

In Majora's Mask you sort of have to put two and two together in most cases for things to make sense. I don't see how this is any different, these things are just used to give the ones who enjoy the stories ideas.
