no magic in tp

do you think you cant use magic in tp because magic is a lost art or something,
or link just cant use it?
thoughts?

i think the designers were just to lazy

No magic? Dominion Rod, Fused Shadow, Triforce of Wisdom & Courage, Light Arrows,
Master Sword, Gale Boomerang, Magic Armor...

I know what you mean though...it just wasn't the same as OoT's magic

Theoretically, it could be that all the magic used in the game was imbued in the items in question instead on the magic that resided in Link.

Technically, a) the developers were lazy, or b) they decided to do away with the magic bar feature.

Those all use magic. And having Midna in the game too... She was also using magic, even though you probably don't notice.

There was magic in the beta stages. If you look at the back of the case, the screenshots show a magic meter. I don't know why they took it out.

There was originally a magic bar, but they removed it, along with many other awesome-looking things that were originally in the game. There was some strange enemies in the original.

They also removed the empty landscape and gave us TWO giants instead of one. The finished game is much better with the exception of the magic bar being axed.

I loved that tree-giant, I loved the open Hyrule Field, and I loved the
squat trees...all that went away

I also miss the forest diving scene and the big spider scene,
and Link being wrapped in a web... sigh the trailer promised
so much

There was majic used in Twilight Princess. However it was not used by Link directly. The Gale Boomerang was infused with the power of the goddess of wind but that doesnt mean he had the magic ability. It just meant that the goddess was allowing Link to use it, he didnt create it. Light Arrows were not used by Link but by princess Zelda herself. The fused shadows were already created by the Twilight Magic not Link. I beleive that because of the Triforce of Courage Link could use magical objects but not create magic himself.

Yes, this also makes sense for how there is no magic bar in TMC.

The magic bar wouldn't have made sense with TP's items and abilities. Link didn't do any enchanting or spell-casting like he did in previous games.

I don't think the lack of magic has anything to do with the story.

Weren't there missing items like fire arrows that can be accessed with Action Replay or something like that? I do know that green potions can actually be made if you are able to mix blue and yellow chu-jellies, right? It just doesn't do anything is all.

Also, what's all this about two giants?


I noticed a lot of interesting missing stuff from TP... it made me sad to see that some of it didn't make it. But after seeing the Moblin model and it's lack of pig-like or bulldog like features, I am a little glad it didn't make it in. What was planned for the Moblins was just... not good.

We can only hope that interesting missing stuff get's used in a future game or something.

The two giants are the one's guarding the sacred grove. Seriously though magic was unnecessary, the game didn't really need it and did just fine without it.
