I don't believe the Gerudos vanished in TP, you just don't visit their homeland.
Lon Lon Ranch is passed down.

As for the Knights of Hyrule, FSA is the only in-game appearance of them-
Many died in the seal war of ALttP's backstory but not ALL, Link's Uncle
was presumably a Knight of Hyrule since ALttP Link is of the Knight's lineage.

Also Ashei's father in TP seems to be a Knight of Hyrule:

"...It's Ashei. Listen, sorry I was so nasty the other day. I thought you were
like those sorry excuses for Hyrule soldiers...but I thought wrong. I grew up
in the mountains with my father, who was a knight in his own right. He
taught me the arts of war as though I was his son."

...so I would say that knights are just rare, not extinct.

I'm not sure if you could call Rusl a knight or not...kinda doubtful

The portals in ALttP leading to the Dark World seem to be the ones Ganon
tore open in FSA

but the means of entry is different and there are clearly defined exits in FSA whereas there are none LttP.

Is there evidence that Ganon did the tearing? A lot of the portals Link opens himself with the MP.

C'mon, FSA is the backstory for ALttP Ganon's Trident, and the Dark
World's FS...you can't expect perfect continuity between the two games-
it's pretty darned close though

The FSA and Seal War don't have to add up perfectly. If you have both games on the child timeline, child Link's story to the King of Hyrule at the end of OoT could serve as the legend of the Imprisoning War, while FSA completes the story with actual accounts. In my theory, child Link's story at the end of OoT blends together with the story of FSA, resulting in some inconsistencies, but that's to be expected.

fine. some were ganon's doing, which is why FSA Link has to help sort out
the problems of thing disappearing into & out of the Dark World,
and the other's were due to the Moon Pearls of FSA Link...

peoples forms (TP Link became a wolf)...but I don't buy that because he is the ONLY
one we know of to change forms on entering the TR, Zant transformed the Twili into
Shadow Beasts using Ganon's power, and he transformed Midna into an imp...

...or are you claiming the TR's corruption causes the transformations? because Link
sets the Twili free from their Shadow beast forms and they stay free...

somehow I misread this until just now.

yes, I do believe that FSA is the BS for the DW FS in LttP GBA, but that does not necessitate FSA DW=LttP DW. It just requires the FS to enter the SR at some point, after which Ganon's capturing of the TF creates the LttP DW.

I see what you mean, but doesn't it kind of make sense that he
got to the DW/SR from his FS imprisonment via the Trident of Power?

I always figured the FS sanctuary was in the SR. In TMC it's in a separate dimension, between the world of the Minish and the world of Light, possibly the SR. Also, in the beginning sequence of FSA, the gate to the FS sanctuary requires the 7 shrine maidens(sages?) to open. So when Ganon was trapped at the end, he was already in the SR, but unable to escape his prison.

Or so we thought...

I thought the FS Shrine was deep in a forest so they warped there
from the castle...but who knows?
