Re: Revised Timeline theory

I think people would be mad at Ninty if they didn't name her Zelda. And Tetra didn't want to be called Zelda until they did find the new land.

But Tetra's hope was to find the "next Hyrule." She offered for Daphnes to come with her, and he refused on account of the fact that "that land will not be Hyrule."

Given his character, obsessed with his old kingdom, it's pretty obvious why he would say this - like Ganondorf, he would not be able to accept the new land as Hyrule.

but I'd rather account for one cataclysm on the CT than an additional one (besides the flood) on the AT. Occam's Razor and whatnot.
There doesn't need to be a cataclysm - haven't you ever heard the developers say that they don't want to be restricted by the timeline and don't consider timeline when creating new game concepts?

Daphnes already made the Triforce wish. And, again, it's obvious that Tetra's opinion of "Hyrule" differs from Daphnes's, so Daphnes saying "that land will not be Hyrule" is really a biased, subjective statement.

Yet, like I said, that could have easily just been a desperate attempt to prevent Daphnes from killing himself.

You don't understand what I'm saying. I said that the hope the children may have gotten is not equivalent to a Triforce wish. In fact, hope can even just be a feeling, not something guaranteed to happen.
