Zelda 64 Canon?

I don't understand what this Zelda 64 is lol

can someone explain it?

It's a fan name given to the beta of Ocarina of Time- Zelda64 is what they called OoT in development like MM was ZeldaGaiden

I believe there was at least 1 version with an alternate storyline that featured young link, & I daresay that you could ride Epona as a child in that version, & this would support my *Link-is-a-Hylian/Kokiri-Hybrid* theory...

At least in a great many universes...

DOUBLE EDIT: Even in the beta versions which featured ADULT Link, he could be an eternally young adult, because growing-UP, & growing-OLD are NOT THE SAME THINGS...

You watch Ninty get themselves involved in this and preventing it from coming out, same as they did with the 2D incarnation of Ocarina of Time a while ago.

Fado wasn't taken out, she just isn't a sage anymore.

I'm hoping this will be a ROM?? Unfortunately, I don't own a N64.

Her model is still in-game. But the character, Fado, was taken out. Along with the sage vest she wore.

Link's race with the evil Gannondorf to find the sacred stones and the hiding place of the Triforce is on!

In this version, Link IS a Kokiri, & I even saw a picture of Young Link standing in a diferent position in his house, & it looked EXACTLY LIKE HIS HOUSE IN OUR VERSION OF OOT!!

I saw that picture on a site called Zelda Chronicles, which no-longer has that information, I'm to say...

There was even a model made for his uncle. This model was the same uncle as AlttP. Which suggests a remake or even a sequel.

I'm pretty sure that there were different storylines for the different Beta versions, & I ALSO saw a picture of YOUNG LINK in his house, in a different position, & it had a similar storyline to BOTH THE EARLIER VERSIONS & THE FINAL VERSION...

Unfortunately, the site that had the pictures on it, (Zelda Chronicles), was absorbed into ANOTHER site, & it now is it is it's own site: however, I didn't know how to do URL's back then, & I'm to say, the site no-longer has the pictures...

EDIT: @TotG: even IF it was ONLY Adult Link in Beta OOT, (which I doubt), couldn't he be an eternally young ADULT FOREST SPIRIT?!

& I also recall seeing a beta picture of YOUNG Link in the FOREST TEMPLE, on different site, so there you go...

Plus, I recall reading that you could ride Epona as a child, & that would mean that Link could STILL be an eternally young Kokiri!!

Link was intended to always be in his adult state in OoT. It was changed late in development. That is a fact.

Young Link DID APPEAR IN BETA OOT IN A LATE VERSION OF THE STORYLINE!!

I swear that I've seen many pics of him in different positions than the final version, & he looked EXACTLY LIKE YOUNG LINK OTHERWISE!!

He was EVEN IN THE SAME HOUSE...

He just was standing at a different angle...

& in this version, like in the previous ones, he OBTAINS THE TRIFORCE!!

& plus, there's this 1 picture of him up in the air, that I'm pretty sure does *NOT* appear in the final version...

It says you could ride Epona as a CHILD, & while you MIGHT argue that the information is faulty, then why would Nintendo have let you do JUST THAT IN MM, which after all WAS INFLUENCED HEAVILY BY BETA ZELDA ANYWAYS!!

So that information is most likely TRUE!!

Which would mean that even in AT LEAST 1 VERSION OF BETA OOT, YOU *WERE* A CHILD!!

Yes. Late as in like a year before release. The stories we're talking about are the A+C, A+B, and A+C Mixed periods, which were very early in development.
