Re: The Races of Wind Waker

i believe it was stated that the cobble kingdom served the ocean king, also i forgot to post it but if you talk to astrid while wearing the regal necklace for the first time she says that she and kayo hailed from the cobble kingdom.

Another group would have become the Cobble tribe and founded the Cobble Kingdom in the WOOK. And the last group would have spread across the Great Sea and interbred with other populations. Zauz, Astrid, Jolene and her sister, for example, would be descendants from this group.
That's it. From now on I'm calling the Cobble "Wookies"

The quote Oni gave is enough to convince me he's descended from the cobble.

Re: The Races of Wind Waker

Hm... I don't think there's enough there to suggest Zauz' link with the Cobble. It seems unlikely that only the Cobble were involved in defending thw WotOK.

More importantly, sure Zauz' ancestors made the sword before or whatever- what evidence AT ALL is there that the Cobble made the sword? Because they hold one of the metals? Then look out guys cause looks like the Anouki are also Zauz' descendents. Maybe they're Gerudo crossbreeds.

And I scanned the text dump and couldn't find anything from Astrid about the Cobble...

WOOK is a nicer acronym

Well, from the Anouki, Cobble and Gorons, which are more likely to have forged a sword? I would say the Gorons, but I seriously doubt Zauz descends from them, so...

ZW says it is revealed that she and kayo are descendents from the Cobble later in the game:
http://www.zeldawiki.org/Astrid

Try looking for kayo in the dump, I doubt Astrid would refer to herself by using her name...

And you can't deny she looks gerudoish:
