As for the gerudos, that is a very good question. I would say that some of them even became pirates themselves, but we just never see them, and we may never know.

One thing I forgot to mention was the koroks, and I guess it's safe to say that they "evolved" from the Kokiri tribe. Since the forest was flooded over, the great deku tree, being the magical deity that he is, created the Forest Haven for the survivors of the forest. But I'm thinking he's trying to recreate the forest by sending out all the koroks to replant more trees across the great sea.

Phantom Hourglass is set in a different region, so it doesn't have all the same races as seen in The Wind Waker. It does, however, have some suspicious-looking characters that has similarities with Gerudo - one character of which looks exactly like Ganondorf.

Strange, I remember seeing gorons in PH. Maybe it was just me though...

I don't know if it was discussed but what happened to the Gerudo?

I am one to believe the Gerudo divided into 3 groups. One group would have to have remained as the Gerudo Tribe in some island, and would eventually become the tribe seen in FSA.

Another group would have become the Cobble tribe and founded the Cobble Kingdom in the WOOK. And the last group would have spread across the Great Sea and interbred with other populations. Zauz, Astrid, Jolene and her sister, for example, would be descendants from this group.

I thought it was never confirmed that Zauz has any relationship to the Cobble?

And again I point out that you can't 'crossbreed' a Gerudo. Gerudo are implied to mate with Hylian men and still produce pure Gerudo. I don't accept Gerudo, or any other race, 'breeding into' the Hylia or Humans except perhaps the Sheikah.

Zauz does indeed state that he is the last of the cobble kingdom's people. Malon is implied to be one of the Gerudo yet she looks like a normal hylian. have you ever heard of the Sand Goddess temple theory? How about the selection(i don't know the name but that's what i call it) theory?

I'd go for either the crossbreed or saying that they evolved with time...

There is no implication that Malon is a Gerudo. It's a nice li'l bit of fanfic or extremely theoretical theory, but that's all it is.

And do you have a quotation of Zauz to assure his connection with the cobble? I really don't remember that...

Then why would Talon's father say link looked like malon's mother if he wore the Gerudo mask?
I'll try to find one but do you have any good sources for quotes like that, it would make hunting a little easier.

The same reason he said it when wearing the Goron mask. Comedy.
