Re: The Races of Wind Waker
I am one to believe the Gerudo divided into 3 groups. One group would have to have remained as the Gerudo Tribe in some island, and would eventually become the tribe seen in FSA.
Another group would have become the Cobble tribe and founded the Cobble Kingdom in the WOOK. And the last group would have spread across the Great Sea and interbred with other populations. Zauz, Astrid, Jolene and her sister, for example, would be descendants from this group. |

Re: The Races of Wind Waker
I thought it was never confirmed that Zauz has any relationship to the Cobble?
And again I point out that you can't 'crossbreed' a Gerudo. Gerudo are implied to mate with Hylian men and still produce pure Gerudo. I don't accept Gerudo, or any other race, 'breeding into' the Hylia or Humans except perhaps the Sheikah.

Re: The Races of Wind Waker
Zauz does indeed state that he is the last of the cobble kingdom's people. Malon is implied to be one of the Gerudo yet she looks like a normal hylian. have you ever heard of the Sand Goddess temple theory? How about the selection(i don't know the name but that's what i call it) theory?

Re: The Races of Wind Waker
There is no implication that Malon is a Gerudo. It's a nice li'l bit of fanfic or extremely theoretical theory, but that's all it is.
And do you have a quotation of Zauz to assure his connection with the cobble? I really don't remember that...

I'll try to find one but do you have any good sources for quotes like that, it would make hunting a little easier. |

Re: The Races of Wind Waker
The same reason he said it when wearing the Goron mask. Comedy.
I'm reading thru a text dump... nothing yet. EDIT: Nope, nothing at all linking Zauz to the cobble. http://www.zeldalegends.net/index.php?p=903 There're multiple language text dumps.

Re: The Races of Wind Waker
Did Astrid say she and Kayo hail from the cobble kingdom?
Zauz said this: Humans always think that unless they say something, others won't hear them. Truth is, people talk just as loudly with their hearts... But because people have mouths, they don't pay attention to their hearts. Zauz seems to imply he's not human. I know it doesn't prove anything but i thougth this was interesting. You see, for generations, our ancestors lived to serve the Ocean King. They defended the Ocean King in an age when great evil lurked in the sea. My people forged our own weapons and fought in epic battles. You seek one of those great weapons. An artifact called the Phantom Sword. |
