Age requirement changed?

Where does it say in the game that there was a 10 year gap between the war and the events of Ocarina of Time? I can only remember it saying "several years", but not specifying a certain number (although of course, it is most likely to have been 10 years, considering Link's age).

Wow I actually went searching for it and came up with nothing, however I do believe him then to be 9 because it goes more along what Miyamoto envisions an adult Link to be
