Kasuto in Phantom Hourglass!

In PH there is a explorer called Mcney, he wrote some articles for a some kind of magazine or newspaper, we can find those articles in the isle of the dead(inside of a cave), the name of the newspaper/magazine is "Explorer's compass". In the spanish version(from europe) the newspaper/magazine have a different name, the newspaper/magazine is called "Kasuto's herald".
With this we can conclude that kasuto is a place(isle) located somewhere in the great sea.
Kasuto was a town from Adventure of link.

In the english version the quote from the journal of the explorer Mcney goes like this:

Mcney the explorer:
It's time to prove what i wrote in the article for the Explorer's Compass

In the spanish version goes like this:

Mcney the explorer:
It's time to prove what i wrote in the article for the Kasuto's Herald

That was bull**** invented by the Spanish translator. There is a long thread about that in ZL.

Apparenty in japanese it is Monthly Mumu or something like that...

In the spanish version(Latinamerica/México),the one that i have, the newspaper was called "mumu's herald".

Nintendo needed a translate coordinator.

I'm very glad that we in Latinamerica have the real version : )

Kind of begs the question as to why of all names, the Spanish translators picked "Kasuto."

Yes, but why? Other language versions of Zelda games often reuse character names, but usually in a perfectly sensible way.

^Would it be unreasonable to think that this Spanish localization person might know something we don't? Yes, I agree that the "Kasuto" insert would have been a decision made by that person, and not Nintendo "home base", but if that person is the Spanish equivalent of Bill Trinnen and knows something of timeline.............Didn't Trinnen claim that?

Localization has a point of making more specific references than NoJ does. The Japanese is almost always more open to interpretation than the English is.

Yup, it's just Mumu...which has absolutely no meaning.
I'm guessing someone just felt like tossing in an easter egg. It's called something different in almost every translation.
