Faron Woods = Kokiri Forest?

People have always wondered where exactly Kokiri Forest is in Twilight Princess, but geographically, it would be the Faron Woods. The forest dungeon in Twilight Princess stands where the Deku Tree was in OoT, so one could assume it WAS the Deku Tree. Just like in OoT, the Lost Woods lie west of the Faron Woods. Then, take a look at the part in TP where the purple fog is. Some of the remains of the trees that stand there sort of resemble the houses in Kokiri Forest. You can take a better look at this area at the beginning of the game, before the fog is there. And before the purple fog shows up there, it even has the same feel as Kokiri Forest.

Where are the Kokiri themselves? Extinct for all i care


(Since this is only one of my very first theories, I'm aware that I'll most likely get mauled by real theorists )

Its really strange, Nintendo mark out where the Gerudo and the Kokiri inhabited, but there is no sign of either of them in TP!

The Korkiri were driven out when Link's tribe moved in. Probably way before TP link was born, so they went into hiding deep in the forest. That's how i explain it to myself. Can't bare the though of them dying!

Well, Faron Woods is very close to the Lost Woods of TP, just like Kokiri Forest was to the Lost Woods at the time, so I would say so that it is right.

Ordon is a village in the forest built by Hylians, It's more than likely possible that Ordon Village simply didn't exist at the time.

Well, some things have shifted around, geographically speaking, in Twilight Princess, but I agree that the case could be made for Faron Woods as the Kokiri Forest. Though not really stated, I like to imagine the Forest Temple as the deceased Deku Tree.

As for the Kokiri, they are spirits. Maybe they left the forest, maybe the died out, maybe (like in Wind Waker) they took on a different form. Hard to say for sure.

Nah, the Temple of Time raises too many questions if those are the same place.

there were alot of them in the forest temple.

The Lost Woods could've simply spread out and covered the ToT.

The Temple of Time ruins look surprisingly alot like the entrance of the Forest Temple in OoT, doesn't it. It would raise questions as to why the doorway leads to the Temple of Time though...

I highly doubt it. in OoT, the Temple of Time is located in Castle Town, far away from the Lost Woods.

It could've been moved. Either way there's woods covering the ToT. The same which the Kokiri seem to have lived near.

Here's a wild theory

The TP ToT was actually built in Termina. Skull Kid, at some point, just did the whole switcharoo thing on the temple and put Termina's ToT in Hyrule's Lost Woods.

This thread has gone from interesting thoerizing to complete and utter fanfic. There is absolutely no evidence at all to suggest Termina had or has anything to do with Hyrule's geography in any way shape or form.

Seeing as a Skull kid shows up in the sacred grove (which looks very similar to the lost woods), I can believe whole thing about the Kokiri Forest being Faron Woods.
