Welcome to the new "Theorists of ZU" thread. This is a merge of ZU Theory Statistics, Personal Points of Controversy and Theorist Profiles. Feel free to copypasta or write new stuff.
This thread is for introducing yourself as a theorist and as a person, as well as viewing people's personal opinions on different matters and general statistics. We will try to keep this thread tidy, so while commenting etc is allowed, use posts wisely, don't spam or write anything that might as well be written on someones ZU-Wall etc. Why, I should start posting my brief introduction and personal timeline ![]() ![]() ![]() Inventor of the Double ALttP Theory: ......tWW-PH---tMC-FS-FSA---ALttP-LA ..../ OoT .....\ .......MM---TP---LoZ-AoL---OoX---ALttP

Re: Theorists of ZU
Theorist Profile:
Theorist Profile: Som (Andrew) History Well I joined ZU close to two years to make posts in general Zelda. Then after like 2 posts I forgot about it and left for like 10 months. (My name was 1998thebestyear at the time.) I came back and started spending a lot of time reading in the theorizing section. I decided to try and make my own timeline. And, as with all first timelines, it failed bad. So I continued to try and learn more about timeline stuff. I came up with same pretty crazy and out-there theories for a while. My double AT theory, for instance. I made it so I could have both OoX-tMC-FS/FSA and so I could have LttP/OoX/LA. Because I felt that the OoX-LA connections were too much to avoid. Then after pretty much my first real debate. (Which was with Skylark) I ended up realizing that I could move LA back to after OoX so I could have the OoX-LA connections and have the OoX-tMC-FSA connections. I also participated in what I call the "LoZ/AoL stupidity wars". From about September/October-January/Februaryish. I call them the LoZ/AoL stupidity wars because that's ALL that was being talked about in theorizing. It was just a mess of nothing but back and forth biasness. After that I realized the way we were using evidence and theories was the wrong way to do it. Timeline -----TWW/PH ----/ OoT ----\ -----MM-TP-FS/FSA-LttP-LoZ/AoL-OoX LA can go after LttP or OoX. TMC either goes after TP/before FS or before OoT. Awards Nominated for Best debater in the winter '08 ZU awards. Only got 1 vote. Threads, Articles and Theories Non that I care for, anymore. You should reset the poll, too.

Re: Theorists of ZU
Sup everyone, obviously i'm new.
I may come back to edit, but i'll basically say that i'm open to all kind of ideas that have good ideas, but I stick with mine unless something better comes along. I always like to search for deep meanings in and between Zelda games. Like a lot of theorists here, i go beyond the obvious. My Timeline: TWW--TMC--FS--FSA--ALttP--LA { OoT { MM--TP--LoZ--AoL--OoX Ok, not much, but i'll definitely come back for editing -_^. |

Re: Theorists of ZU
Theorist Profile: Paul Henry
History: Well I used to post on here quite a lot and my first debate was on "The Divine Prank" in which GanonSlayer2000 was apart of. I had joined on this giving my 2 bits, and this guy was being completely stubborn and not using common sense. There had apparently been other cases in which he had been stubborn on threads and people had just given up after awhile with him, however I was not that case. I had finally gotten him to look at things rationally and I haven't seen him around the Theorizing section much since. After that I help contribute quite a lot of info until school finally got in the way and I had to leave awhile (also there were no topics I cared much for). I have been slowly creeping back and will be on every so often. As for the type of logic I use, I use common sense and I don't let my wants get in the way of theorizing. We are here to think and discover, not to win and be the best. Whenever there is a theory, I usually make at least one post stating facts so people can look at it and think about what they believe and what the facts are before they become a biased theorist. To be biased is to be a blind theorist, to truly theorize about anything is to see all sides of the story clearly and comprehend all possibilities and THEN suggesting a hypothesis. Timeline: I know the Timeline is important kinda, but I could really care less, I Theorize about games one at a time. The only timeline I care about is the OoT split and I believe all games came after it, and none of this TMC came first stuff. There is more evidence towards it being afterwards than before. Another reason I don't have one is I believe I can't have one until I've played ALL the games, in which I haven't played LoZ, AoL, OoX, and I never got a bunch of people together in order to play FS (not FSA, I have played that). So in conclusion, the only thing I care about is: WW-PH | OoT | MM-TP Anything else I don't care much about. Threads, Articles, Theories: King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule Two Hyrules? (OoT) The Well and HERE is that Divine Prank thread I was talking about. |

UPDATED OCTOBER 10, 2009
O.K., I put this off long enough. Here we go: History: I began reading the theorizing section upon discovering ZU sometime in 2005/2006. I instantly became intrigued with the theories around here (ignoring the split vs. linear debates *shrug*) and decided to join in once I got around to joining this site. And that's about it (I suck at writing these things ).Timeline: -----/TWW/PH - LoZ/AoL - OoX - TMC - FS/FSA - ALttP/LA OoT -----\MM - TP (Aren't I original )Awards: Won Most Knowledge of Zelda - Summer '09 Runner-up Best Theorist - Summer '09 Theories/Articles: Waiting for the new game. Re: Theorists of ZU
Theorist Profile: Viral (Ben)
My Bomber's Notebook My Personal Views on Points of Controversy (in Zelda Theorising) History: My love for the Zelda series began in 1999 when I received Ocarina of Time for Xmas. I had so much fun with the game, and this lead me to play A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. I continued to purchase the games from then on, buying new releases as soon as possible to play them. I began looking into Zelda Theorising in late 2007, and became a member of both ZeldaInformer and Zelda Universe in early 2008. I started out by reading through various threads, contributing where I saw fit. In late August 2008, I decided I should write a theory article and post it to the public. I wrote about the Oocca from Twilight Princess, and the article was well received at the Zelda Universe forums. From there, I became more and more active in theorising, talking to various well-known writers, and I decided I would like to continue to entertain the Zelda community by writing articles for The Bombers at ZeldaInformer. I wrote a piece on the Master Sword in late December 2008, and while it needed work, I was accepted. Re: Theorists of ZU
Art1st4786 (Liz)
History While I've been a registered user since 2003, I didn't start posting until yesterday (like, six years later--I'm old, I know). I used to write articles for Land of the Legend (which no longer exists) on different theories, characters, and controversial issues (like whether a fourth piece of the Triforce exists or not). What I love to do is analyze the layouts, architecture, artwork, and characters of the games (especially artwork and architecture, given my art and art history backgrounds) and try to make connections between the games through that or try to discover something new and interesting. I especially love doing this in the 3D games (most notably Twilight Princess). I usually do sketches in my sketchbook of what I see if it's important (since I can't take screenshots of what I see). I didn't even really know the Zelda series existed until around 1999 when I got Super Smash Bros. for the N64 when I was 13. I liked playing as Link, and when I looked at his profile, I saw he had a game for the N64. I rented it, and I became hooked. Within a year, I bought every single Zelda game that existed up until that point and reserved my copy of Majora's Mask. Within a couple of years, I beat every game, though I've recently started replaying the older ones. It's actually the Legend of Zelda series that wanted me to get into game design, though within the past month, due to my current job, my career path changed to wanting to do research for art museums, as I plan on starting to go for my masters degree in art history over a year from now. I hope to get my past articles posted here sometime soon, though the bulk of them won't be up until after the beginning of May due to preparing for graduation. I want to write some new ones, too, but again, I have to wait until after graduation due to time constraints. By the way, if anyone hasn't read "Zelda and Philosophy" at all, I highly suggest you do--it's helped me analyze things better and I've learned more about philosophy in this book than I have in a gen-ed college course. I also enjoy long walks on the beach and moonlit snipings of Bokoblins. Timeline Before Split: TMC FS FSA OoT Child Timeline: MM TP OoX ALttP LA LoZ AoL Adult Timeline: TWW PH Titles and Awards None Theories Will post them on later dates Game Completion Beat all of the games

Re: Theorists of ZU
Theorist Profile: Aleph
My Personal Views on Points of Controversy History: Around April 2008 I came to Zelda Universe, looking for a good Zelda board to go to. The theorizing section immediately caught my eye, and though I haven't been very active so far, I have since found myself lurking the board quite often and reading up on other theorists' ideas. At the time I wasn't even sure how to begin constructing a timeline, but Erimgard's "Freshly-Picked Oracles" Timeline still managed to catch my attention. My biggest reason for following that timeline initially was the Adventure of Link backstory; I never liked the idea of the princess being put to sleep early on in the timeline, then practically being ignored until the end. Now, however, I understand the ideas behind the placement of other games in the timeline much better, and have since developed some of my own ideas and theories behind some of the more controversial areas. Re: Theorists of ZU
Theorist Profile:Mask Collector (A.L.)
History: Everything started when in 1999, i was a little kid and i used to visit my cousin in Los Angeles, he was a hardcore gamer, i used to watch him play OoT all the time, the beauty of the graphics, the artwork and the overall envorviment appealed me to play Zelda. The Zelda game that made me join the fandom was MM, it's dark and complex story made it interesting, yes i was a creepy child. I was obssesed with Zelda, specially with MM...i had questions, so one day i decided to google theories of MM and i found ZU, i didn't join until June of 2008. Theories: Kokiri are physical spirits The HMS is more than just a random Hylian Ganondorf wasn't born evil. Kokiri aren't monkeys. Theories i support: The SK is the HMS' terminian counterpart. The HMS comes from Hyrule Gerudo Have children with both Ganondorf and Hylian men I believe in the stone tower of babel theory. Skull kids used to be Hylian/human children not kokiri. Sheik is male, Zelda changes her sex while being Sheik. Timeline: I believe in the split timeline. Awards: Why should i get an award? i haven't done anything special...yet.

Re: Theorists of ZU
Game Specific Topics Legend of Zelda -Ganon was meant to wield the Trident, but could not because of graphical limitations. -The Magical Sword is not the Master Sword. Adventure of Link -Legend of Zelda Hyrule, as stated in its manual, is a "little kingdom" in the Hyrule region. Adventure of Link Hyrule is the region, with Legend of Zelda Hyrule being the small southwest portion. A Link to the Past -The GBA version, and the changes made in it, are more canon than the SNES version. -The lumberjacks are another form taken on by the Kokiri/Koroks. -The Swamp Maiden's speach about Ganondorf not being able to leave the Sacred Realm is a reference to Four Swords Adventures Ganondorf, the current one, and not OoT Ganondorf, the one from the Seal War. -Ganon split his soul, creating a "bunshin", in order to escape the Seal prior to A Link to the Past. -Ganon's soul-split possessed Agahnim. -When Agahnim died, Ganon's soul-split left his body and returned to Ganon. -The Palace of the Four Sword is canon, along with the Four Sword. -Ganon escaped from the Four Sword and found haven in the Sacred Realm before the game. -The Master Sword of this game is a new one, thus why Link needs the Silver Arrows to kill Ganon, because it isn't the true Blade of Evil's Bane. -Link's wish at the end of the game revives both Ganon (in the Sacred Realm) and Agahnim (once again possessed). Link's Awakening -The Wind Fish is the same type of spiritual being as and/or is the Ocean King of Phantom Hourglass. -Koholint is in the same region of PH's Great Sea, but is not seen in PH. Ocarina of Time -The Sheikah used Gossip stones to spy on the various races of Hyrule. -Malon's mother was a Gerudo. -The Desert Colossus is representing Twinrova (fused), with each side devoted to Koume and Kotake. They in turn represent Din and Nayru respectively, and Farore when fused. -Kaepora Gaebora is not Rauru. -During the seven years Link was asleep, Ganon killed the other six Ancient Sages. -In the ending, Link was sent back to a point after he had left the forest, but before he had met Zelda. Majora's Mask -Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule. -Skull Kid is the same one who you play Saria's Song for, and sell a mask to, in Ocarina of Time. -Skull Kid is the Happy Mask Salesman's conterpart. -The Giants are counterparts to Twilight Princess' Light Spirits. -The inside of the Moon is a physical manifestation of Skull Kid's psyche. -The Stone Tower was built as a defiance to the Goddesses of Hyrule, who the people associated with the despised Skull Kid. -The Stone Tower was not flipped by divine intervention, and in all actuality, there was no intervention by the Goddesses whatsoever. -The Garos brought the Light Arrows with the intention of flipping the Stone Tower. -The Fierce Deity and Majora are demi-gods of the sun and moon. Oracle of Seasons/Ages -The games can be played in either order without major effects to the storyline. -(The Master Sword is the old Master Sword of OoT and WW, not the Master Sword of ALttP.) -(Link is the same Link from ALttP and LA.) -Jabu Jabu is a descendent of Ocarina of Time's Jabu Jabu (and Wind Waker's Jabun). -The linked game and ending are canon. -(The Triforce does not return to the Sacred Realm at the end of the linked game.) -Holodrum is the same area as the Hyrule of MC, ALttP, FSA, and LoZ -Labrynna is the same area of Hyrule as the northern part of AoL. Wind Waker -Prior to Wind Waker, Ganon escaped the Sacred Realm Seal without breaking it. -Ganon's escape of the Sacred Realm Seal is left unexplained, and will likely never be explained. As Hylian text states, "he was revived for no reason". -Ganon's escape of the Flood Seal can be explained by Ganon splitting his soul, using the bunshin to kill the two Sages who empower the Master Sword, putting the two parts of his soul back together, and being free to roam, as the Master Sword no longer had the power to seal him. -The Kokiri, as spirits, did not techincally "evolve", but instead, took on a new form, and became the Koroks. -Some of the Zoras evolved into Rito, some of them became "fierce Zoras", and others migrated out of Wind Waker's territory to other places, such as Labrynna. -Daphnes' mention of the "laws of the past" are a reference to Zelda's duty as the Princess to protect the Triforce of Wisdom from evil. -Daphnes' wish sent the Triforce off to await a new owner. -Ganon's physical body was destroyed in the ending, but his spirit remained in tact. Four Swords Adventures -The Dark Mirror is the Mirror of Twilight, but on a different timeline. -The Dark World of Four Swords Adventures is not the corrupted Sacred Realm like in A Link to the Past, but instead, the Twilight Curtain. -The "Moon Gate World" is the prototype of the Twilight Realm. -Shadow Links are Twili brought forth by the Dark Mirror, and corrupted by Ganon's evil power, manifested physically into a representation of evil: the opposite of Link. -Ganon's "secondary" title of "Majuu", which means "Demon Beast", is the same as that of Ganon in Twilight Princess, because both of them are exposed to Twilight. -Ganondorf may be a physical reincarnation of the ancient Gerudo King, but he may also just be an ordinary male Gerudo, with Ganondorf being a traditional Gerudo name. His soul, however, has been corupted by the old Ganondorf's. Minish Cap -Link's obtaining of the hat is not indication of timeline placement, but an explanation of how this particular Link and his descendants came to wear hats after a time period in which heroes apparently did not wear hats [as evidenced by the depictions of the Hero of Men]. -The "Triumph Forks" book is not a cameo. It is a valid timeline indicator. -The books entitled with the Japanese names of the Oracle games are not a cameo. They are valid timeline indicators. -The book entitled "History of Hyrule" is not a cameo, and very well may be the story being referenced in the SNES A Link to the Past manual. -Din, Nayru, and Farore are not cameos, but direct ancestors of those with the same names in the Oracle games, and therefore, valid timeline indicators. Twilight Princess -The state of the Triforce in Twilight Princess is the result of the Goddesses [being outside of the influence of the split timeline] granting the rightful owners their Triforce pieces regardless of the timeline. -The sages believe Ganondorf's Triforce of Power acquisition to be a "divine prank" because he never touched the Triforce. -Ganondorf's "god complex" in Twilight Princess is the result of having a Triforce piece without touching the Triforce combined with surviving an execution attempt. -Hero's Shade is the Hero of Time. -Geography differences from Ocarina of Time are mostly due to retcon. -The Temple of Time is the same one from Ocarina of Time, moved by the Goddesses so that no one else can access the Sacred Realm. -Ganondorf and Zant became soulbound to each other. -Zants refusal to be revived led to Ganondorf's demise. -Becuase Silver Arrows were not used, Ganon may still be alive in spirit. -The state of the Triforce of Power in the ending is unknown. -The Skull Kid in the Sacred Grove is the same Skull Kid from MM and OoT. -The Sages in TP are the ancient sages from OoT, including Rauru. Phantom Hourglass -The Realm of the Ocean King is a different world accessible by the Ghost Ship in the Great Sea. -The fact that Link and Zelda were only gone for 10 minutes is explained by the fact that Link retains the [now empty] Phantom Hourglass: They were returned to their world and time by the power of the Ocean King and the Phantom Hourglass. -The PH Great Sea is the flooded version of Termina, the magnetic poles are messed up because of the moon's collision in the Adult Timeline. -After PH, Link and Zelda find a new continent which is called "Hyrule" for the rest of the AT. Spirit Tracks -All information regarding Spirit Tracks is pure speculation, except its place on the timeline. -Spirit Tracks is the first game in New Hyrule. -The Great Sea trilogy (WW, PH, and ST) all take place during an age of "advanced" technology which is lost before the time of MC (in a similar manner to the real-life Dark Ages). The Fierce, Prolonged Wars -The bloodshed amongst the people spoken about in A Link to the Past and Twilight Princess are the same set of events. -These events predate Ocarina of Time. -Sometime during these wars is when a group of magic wielders [incorrectly called Interlopers by Nintendo of America] rose to power. -The magic wielders are were made up of members of various tribes, and are not all of the same tribe, nor are they any entire tribe. -This is when [as stated earlier] the Gossip Stones were used by the Sheikah to spy on various peoples and races. -The Shadow Temple shows that the Sheikah had ways of dealing with any who were not loyal to the Royal Family. -The unifying of Hyrule by the King prior to Ocarina of Time marks the end of these wars. -All of the major tribes except for the Gerudos formed an alliance at this time. The Adventure of Link Backstory/Manual -The Adventure of Link manual is still canon, as the newest release of it is the exact same [in the Japanese text] as the very first release. -"When Hyrule was one country" refers not to the days of Ocarina of Time, but to the time period in between the founding of the New Hyrule and the spreading out of the people into the rest of the "Hyrule region". -The King had the complete Triforce. -The Sleeping Zelda incident and the hiding of the Triforce of Courage are in a chronologically close proximity. -The secret that the Princess knew was the location of the Triforce of Courage. The A Link to the Past Manual -The Nintendo of America SNES manual for A Link to the Past is not canon, as it is overwhelmingly full of mistranslations and censorships. -The Japanese SNES manual for A Link to the Past is semi-canon, as it is the story off of which Ocarina of Time was based. -Inaccuracies between the Japanese SNES manual and the actual story of Ocarina of Time can mostly be explained by the fact that in-game we are told these events have become obscured by the mists of time. -The GBA manual for A Link to the Past is the more canon one, as it places the emphasis back on the Seal, specifies that the Triforce never left the Sacred Realm prior to the Seal War, and removes any indication that the Ganon of A Link to the Past was involved in the Seal War. The Minish Cap Manual/Backstory -The Minish Cap backstory does not predate Ocarina of Time. -The Hero of Men is not Gustaf. -The Hero of Men is not the Link from Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link. -The Hero of Men may be Swiftblade I, but is more likely someone we have not seen in any game. -The Picori Blade is not the Master Sword or any other previously seen sword. -The Light Force is not a piece of the Triforce. The Seal/Imprisoning War -The Seal War cannot happen at a time after the Triforce has left the Sacred Realm. -The Seal War is the first time evil flowed from the Sacred Realm. -The Seal War, in its entirety, is the events of the adult side of Ocarina of Time. -Ganon was removed from the GBA telling of the Seal War, because the Ganon involved in the Seal War [Ocarina of Time Ganon] is no longer living. -Seal War Ganon escaped the Seal [without breaking it] prior to Wind Waker, and then physically died. -The Ganon we see in-game in A Link to the Past is the result of Four Swords Adventures Ganon [not Seal War Ganon] taking on Seal War Ganon's soul. He is a different physical entity bearing the same spirit. -Though Four Swords Adventures, and the events which inevitably follow it, set the stage for A Link to the Past, it is in no way part of, or related to, the Seal War, but they do remind the people of the ancient Seal War legends. -All in-game references to Ganon in A Link to the Past are describing the current Ganon, Four Swords Adventures Ganon, and not Seal War Ganon. -As indicated by the Swamp Maiden, some time in between Four Swords Adventures and A Link to the Past, Ganon escaped the Four Sword and found haven in the Sacred Realm but couldn't get back out. This event is indepent of the Seal War, and takes place long after the Seal War. Ganon could not find a way out, because the Seal still remained in tact. The Trident -Though Ganon may have been meant to wield the Trident in Legend of Zelda, he was not soul-bound to it due to his death in OoX. -When Ganon takes the Trident in FSA old Ganondorf's soul is absorbed into it via his body. -Once it harbors Ganondorf's soul, the Trident has the power to turn anyone who wields it into The King of Darkness. Force -There is no real difference in "life force", "force gems", and "the Light Force", as all are the exact same word in Japanese. They are only in different forms, and thus, given different names in the English version. -Life force is similar to a soul, and everyone has it. -Force gems are crystalized life force. -The Light Force is a powerful concentration of life force. Since Minish Cap says it came from the sky, it is quite possibly the life force of the Goddesses. -As the "essence of the gods", the Triforce is very similar to three powerful force gems. -Though the Triforce and the Light Force are not the same item, they are likely made of the same substance. -Tears of Light from Twilight Princess are/function the same as force gems from Four Swords Adventures, except they are the life force of the Light Spirits and not of monsters. -Ocarina of Time causes a timeline split, with games coming after both of its endings. These two timelines are called the "Adult Timeline" and the "Child Timeline". -The time period when Hyrule was "a beautiful land surrounded by forests and mountains" references the age of Ocarina of Time. -This makes any game with a water and/or island-based Hyrule impossible to place on the Child Timeline. -Ocarina of Time (Adult half) is the Seal War in its entirety [as stated before]. -The Adventure of Link backstory takes place after ALttP, while Link (and his line) are gone from Hyrule. -Spirit Tracks, Minish Cap, Four Swords Adventures, and A Link to the Past show a progression inland from the shore of New Hyrule. -(The Oracle of Ages past section of the game takes place after Wind Waker, but as that area of Hyrule is not seen in any game before AoL cannot be placed any more specifically.) -Link's Awakening was originally intended and still is intended to be after A Link to the Past. -Spirit Tracks is the first game in New Hyrule. Prince of Nerps' current timeline: [Adult]/WW/PH---ST---MC---FS/FSA---ALttP/(OoX)/LA---LoZ/AoL OoT< [Child]\MM---TP---(OoX) -Light Arrows are not the same as Silver Arrows. Light Arrows only have the power to weaken the defenses of evil, Silver Arrows are the only thing that can kill Ganon (without the Master Sword). -The Sages [Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess], Shrine Maidens [Four Swords Adventures], and Maidens [A Link to the Past], all perform similar duties, but slowly decreased in power over time, in the order previously stated. -When referring to Sages and other spiritual leaders, the term "descendant" is not necessarily a blood relation, but a successor. -Farore is the Goddess of Time. Edit information: Debating OoX placement, appropriate edits (Sep7-09).

Re: Theorists of ZU
Last Updated on April 26, 2009.
Game Related Legend of Zelda -Ganon's ashes are not due to the Triforce of Power trying to preserve him. He's clearly dead, and the ToP is doing nothing to stay with him. It just sits there and lets Link pick it up. The ashes were just meant to look cool and be a convenient plot device in AoL. Beyond that, they're not important. Adventure of Link -The King of Hyrule from the backstory wielded the entire Triforce and held it in his possession, meaning that it did not go back to the Sacred Realm. -The King of Hyrule from the backstory wrote the scroll and hid the Triforce of Courage. -The Prince is not a pre-existing character; he is simply a nameless prince. -If any games occur on the Adult Timeline after The Wind Waker, the "founder" Zelda mentioned in Adventure of Link's backstory is likely the first Zelda born to the second kingdom of Hyrule, not the Zelda from Ocarina of Time. This, however, only applies if AoL and its backstory somehow occur on the Adult Timeline, which I now doubt. If the backstory happens on the Child Timeline, then the AoL backstory Zelda is just the founder of the tradition, with previous Zeldas having the name by chance. -The wizard that cursed Zelda was merely a power-hungry magician who wanted the Triforce for himself, not a previous villain. Hyrule certainly isn't lacking people who desire the Triforce. -Because the Triforce returning to the Sacred Realm wasn't a concept when AoL was made, and since the King of Hyrule could keep the Triforce in his possession, I believe that Hyrule kept the Triforce after Link revived Zelda with it. A Link to the Past -Link's clothing is nothing special in Hyrule; some NPC's wear similar tunics and hats. -Agahnim was completely created by Ganon and not a possessed person. Agahnim appears to have conveniently come from nowhere and is clearly revealed to be Ganon after his second encounter with Link. There are numerous statues of Agahnim on the Pyramid of Power, and since Ganon is thankless and selfish I doubt that he'd honor an ally, especially not if Agahnim was just a person he was possessing. Also, in Phantom Hourglass' respective bunshin case, both of Ciela's bodies appear to have a physical form, as evidenced by her wings. -The GBA manual is simply a summary of the original manual instead of something new. It was reduced from six large pages to two tiny ones and therefore needed to be heavily condensed. Thus, it is not meant to tie Ocarina of Time to A Link to the Past. If, by chance, it was changed on purpose, the only thing actually changed would logically be Ganon's backstory, since FSA was presumably in production at that time and the Four Sword can be found broken in the Palace of the Four Sword located in the Dark World. -The Triforce was not as powerful in ALTTP as it would later be in OoT, so it possibly couldn't grant Ganon's wish in full. He would have to invade Hyrule to gain it. Alternatively, since Ganon was just a thief (a leader of particularly evil thieves, but a typical thief regardless) in the initial backstory, he may not have been great enough to have his entire wish carried out. This can tie into the statement from AoL's manual stating that a person must have certain, specific traits to adequately use the full Triforce (Ganon in ALttP presumably lacking these traits). If, by some chance, ALttP takes place on the Adult Timeline, Ganon's wish to rule the world (which would doom the people) might have conflicted with Daphnes' wish for a hopeful future and, at least for Hyrule, the clash of the wishes led to Hyrule not being in Ganon's hands yet not guaranteed a hopeful future anymore. In the end, this Triforce problem will likely never be answered. Nintendo just wanted a game to exist. -There was no pre-existing seal before Ganon made his wish, and if there was one then the Triforce could have easily overcome it or worked around it, seeing as how it was stated to be omnipotent when it came to granting wishes and that even the Magic Mirror can overcome the ALTTP seal, though Japanese translations have shown that the mirror is a special item reserved for ALttP Link. The Triforce doesn't seem to have any tendency of screwing people over with a wish either. -The Triforce was clearly empowering Ganon. He had become incredibly powerful, his bunshin (Agahnim, technically half of him) could single-handedly conquer Hyrule, and it took tons of Master Sword swings and 4 Silver Arrows to kill him. Also, considering that Ganondorf was originally just a typical thief before touching the Triforce, it's even more obvious that he was empowered by it. Even with FSA in mind, I believe that it is clear that Ganon was empowered by the Triforce after he acquired the thing. Link's Awakening -Link's Awakening is the direct sequel to A Link to the Past. -Koholint Island was not real. Yes, I need to express this stance, since some people believe that it was real. Ocarina of Time -While I think Nintendo first intended Ocarina of Time to be the Imprisoning War, I personally believe that they've botched the whole connection and have just created a mess. At this point, if one were to try and fit it into the timeline, it'd be more reasonable to treat the Imprisoning War as an event not covered by any of the games and presumably between FSA and ALttP. -Ocarina of Time can plausibly come first in the timeline, though The Minish Cap can also come first. -Like The Minish Cap and A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time explains the origin of Link's clothing; it's regular Kokiri garb. If I recall correctly, several Kokiri can be seen wearing a hat similar to Link's as well. -Ganondorf, definitely aware of Link after he obtained the Goron's Ruby, wrote the letter found in Lake Hylia to guide Link to the third Spiritual Stone. He either placed the bottled letter into the lake before he left Zora's Domain, after he left Zora's Domain, or he simply tossed it into the moat near Castle Town and let the current carry it. -The day Ganondorf gained the Triforce of Power was the same day he conquered Hyrule, as evidenced by Impa after Link clears out the Shadow Temple. Zelda, Impa, and Ganondorf also state that those events happened on the same day. They (and other characters) typically say "On that day seven years ago". All of these characters are presumably referring to the same day. -Ganondorf's pre-ToP "assault" on Hyrule Castle was a skirmish at best. -Hyrule has complete control of the castle before Ganondorf gains the ToP. -Due to his proximity to the Temple of Time, the fact that he was incredibly important to the people, and the fact that nothing suggests that he knew what was going to happen, it is practically guaranteed that the King of Hyrule was killed by Ganondorf. Ganondorf may have also suspected that the Hylian king, the ruler of the land, would have held one of the two missing Triforce pieces. Thus, there would be even more of an incentive to kill him. -Zelda did not have a brother. Even if she did have a brother, said hypothetical brother would have likely been killed by Ganondorf due to his proximity to the Temple of Time, the potential of having a Triforce piece, and the potential to one day be king as well. -Because of the scenarios they faced, the fact that Rauru could not assist them due to his incredibly limited influence, and the fact that the temples were utterly corrupted and thus of no help, some of the Sages may have died before Link awakened their spirits. The Sages I believe may have perished are Saria, Darunia, Ruto, and Impa. Nabooru was likely teleported away to be brainwashed at a later date, and Rauru and Zelda give no reason for us to believe that they might have perished. -Due to the fact that Zelda changed her skin color, eye color, voice, appears to be far more muscular as Sheik, and the fact that the fate of the entire world was at stake (and thus desperate measures were necessary), I believe that Sheik truly was man, despite what Melee and Brawl say. Melee and Brawl aren't very reliable for this stuff anyway. -The Sages do not believe that Ganondorf can be killed, regardless of the situation. -Seeing as how the Sages open a portal to the Evil Realm from within the Sacred Realm, I think the Evil Realm of OOT is separate from the Sacred Realm to some degree. -When Link gives the Ocarina of Time back to Zelda, they might be in the Sacred Realm, judging from the strange location. -Because sending Link back to a time when he was already on his journey really wouldn't be giving him much of a chance to freely use his seven missing years, and since, in the Japanese version, Zelda flat-out said that getting Link involved in her plans was a mistake and that she was going to fix that particular mistake, Link was sent back to a time before he began his adventure, or at least before he met Zelda. -Zelda does not recognize Link in the ending due to the fact that she has never met him before on the Child Timeline. -OOT splits the timeline. -When Link is sent to the Child Timeline, he almost immediately goes to Hyrule Castle and tells Zelda that her plan will only harm Hyrule and that Ganondorf should be left alone. -When Link was sent across timelines, the ToC of the Adult Timeline left him while the ToC of the Child Timeline went to him, thus resulting in the Triforce splitting regardless, though all three wielders do not seem to know this. -I believe that people actually died in Castle Town and that ReDeads and Gibdos are reanimated people, despite what Melee (which is rather unreliable) says. MM also shows that ReDeads, Gibdos, Stalchildren, and Stalfos were once living beings. Majora's Mask -Termina is a parallel world. I honestly don't see why it wouldn't be. -Termina was not actually doomed or cursed. Even Gaepora Kaebora (the Terminian owl) dropped that idea quickly, stating that he believed that Link would save the day regardless. He even carved out a song in advance for Link. -The Four Giants appear to be no more than giants that lived with the people and one day chose to be guardians. At best, they are similar to the Light Spirits. -Termina was ultimately created by the Goddesses, whether it was intentional or not. -Majora's Mask did not have a spirit sealed within it; the mask merely came to life over time. It was never called Majora in the Japanese version either, and it referred to itself in the third person to boot. -The Ikanians were not actually blasphemous to the Goddesses, and probably didn't even know who they were. There's a better chance that Skull Kid doodled a Triforce somewhere (he did like drawing in MM after all) and it was believed to be his symbol than for the Ikanians to have known about the Goddesses. The Ikanians were simply a horribly corrupt, evil, bloodthirsty people that died off in the war with the Garo. -The Garo may have died off in the same war that killed the Ikanians. The Garo may have also been just as bad as the Ikanians. -The head that is the entrance to the Stone Tower Temple is not supposed to be a giant; it's Lakitu. -The pillars seen near the entrance to the Stone Tower Temple are not supposed to be phalluses. If they actually are meant to be anything in particular, they'd probably be fingers to go along with the finger with a fiery tip. -Because nobody in Ikana knows anything about Majora's Mask, and since the Stone Tower Temple is covered in artwork seemingly representing bugs and/or insects, the statue in the temple's foyer was not meant to look like the mask. -The moon seen plummeting toward Clock Town throughout the game is not actually the moon of Termina, and appears to have been completely created by Majora's Mask. It blatantly burns up and becomes a rainbow in the ending to boot. -The Fierce Deity Mask is not canon. The Wind Waker -Ganondorf broke the seal of the Sages, whether he simply did it from within or with some sort of bunshin method. He was certainly more powerful than the Sages in Ocarina of Time, and he was already experienced in opening gateways to other dimensions (when he banished the OoT Phantom Ganon). Since he's mentioned as returning for no reason with absolutely no mention of even the slightest omen or foul play beforehand, I don't think Ganon used an Agahnim-like method, though he might have done so in a far more secretive manner. -Ganon's Makozu (demon tribe) is free and roaming throughout Hyrule and the Great Sea. Therefore, the Sages' seal on Ganon's Makai has been broken. -Since Link killed all of Ganon's minions in Hyrule in OoT and the Sages would probably pick off the survivors to ensure that Hyrule would rebuild in safety, the minions have no other real point of origin than Ganon's Makai. -The Master Sword did not seal Ganon; translations on Legends Alliance have shown that Nintendo of America made that up. Additionally, Ganon eradicated the Master Sword Sages and their power; he didn't steal it. The MS Sages even say that he erased the sword's power. -The OoT Sages are forgotten on the Great Sea. Seeing as how the people can't even remember Hyrule's name or what had happened to it, the Sages stand no chance of being remembered. Also, Link, who is clearly remembered, is credited for sealing Ganon, even though the Sages did that. -Though the people had many legends, the fact that the legend told in the backstory and on the title screen was the one used in TWW indicates that it is the most prominent or at least the most accepted tale on the Great Sea. -A quote from Daphnes in the Japanese translations of The Wind Waker on Legends Alliance seems to imply that Hyrule is only known to the Great Sea in the first place because it was in the Legend of the Hero. Thus, aside from the Legend of the Hero, Hyrule is utterly forgotten. -Though the Great Deku Tree wanted to one day unite the islands, he didn't want Hyrule to come back or for there to be a new Hyrule. Also, since Japanese translations have revealed that Daphnes wished for "Hyrule, land of the past," to be erased, any salvaged land brought up by the Deku Tree wouldn't be Hyrule anyway. Furthermore, it was never determined if any foul play was involved with the trees in the Deku Tree sidequest dying. Thus, the Great Deku Tree's plan might have naturally been impossible, or otherwise painfully flawed. -The Hero of Winds is not related to the Hero of Time, nor is he a reincarnation of the Hero of Time. -The Triforce returned to the Sacred Realm after Daphnes wished on it. -Daphnes wasn't a ghost. -Daphnes wanted Hyrule, along with its traditions and rules, to be destroyed and left in the past. He did not want Hyrule to return or for there to be a new Hyrule; he wanted his descendants to choose their own destiny. -Link and Tetra respected Daphnes' final words and set out for "their" land, not a new Hyrule. -Ganondorf died. Yes, I mean he actually died, not that he partially died or that his spirit was flying around in Hyrule. -I believe that, because of the situations in TWW, the message of TWW, and Daphnes' Triforce wish, no games come after TWW on the Adult Timeline with the obvious exception of Phantom Hourglass. -If, by some chance, games come on the Adult Timeline after TWW, because the people have nearly forgotten about Hyrule and are uncertain if it ever truly existed, the stage is set for a new Hyrule that is completely ignorant of the old one to be found/made after the game. If necessary, this can easily transition into the AoL backstory. Twilight Princess -The Hero's Shade is the spirit of the Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. -Death Mountain, which has gone from a small and tranquil mountain to a massive, chaotic ball of broken rock and lava, is probably behind the majority of the geographical changes. That is, if you believe that an explanation is even needed and that Nintendo didn't just make a map to be fun and interesting. -The Sages of the Arbiter's Grounds are not the Elemental Sages from Ocarina of Time. They are a different group of Sages. -Ganondorf, unable to use Link and Zelda to access the Sacred Realm, was eventually forced to invade Hyrule. Whether the combined efforts of Hyrule were enough to defeat him or the Light Spirits intervened like they did with the Twili's ancestors, Ganondorf was defeated. -Ganondorf was defeated because he didn't know that he had the ToP and thus didn't use it. The Sages had no idea that he had the ToP either. -The Mirror of Twilight was always kept at the Arbiter's Grounds; it wasn't moved around. -The Mirror of Twilight was not used to dump bodies into the Twilight Realm. Such an act would be incredibly irresponsible for Sages and would be disrespectful toward the mirror. -The Mirror of Twilight ultimately is not the Dark Mirror from FSA. -The Sages planned for Ganondorf to die from his stab wound and nothing more. -Ganondorf's scar served as a massive hinderance and a weak point, ultimately allowing the Master Sword to kill him when run through the scar by Link. If the scar was absent he would not have died, and may have even prevailed. The scar also seems to make Ganondorf more vulnerable in general, and if he would have gotten a special power boost from the ToP for having the chunk of him that got stabbed away, then the scar basically limits Ganondorf's power. -Ganondorf died. He didn't partially die and his spirit isn't floating around in Hyrule somewhere. -Nobody has the ToP after Ganondorf dies. -Zant was an Onmyoji. -While Ganondorf did give some of his power to Zant, he may not have established an actual connection, seeing as how he was not actually a Kami and tends to be manipulative. If there was a connection, Ganondorf likely broke it after the Mirror of Twilight was shattered, seeing as how Zant had likely outlived his usefulness by then. -Zant's appearance just before Ganondorf's death is a way of Zant macabrely welcoming Ganondorf to the afterlife, seemingly cracking/breaking his neck to signify that Ganondorf's time was up. The Minish Cap -Thanks to arguments I have recently seen (most from Impossible), it's entirely plausible for The Minish Cap to be the first game in the timeline. -If, by some chance, this game takes place after TWW, The Minish Cap takes place in a new Hyrule found by Link and Tetra or created by the Great Deku Tree. -The Light Force is not the Triforce of Wisdom. -Vatti was supposed to be sealed in the ending to lead into Four Swords, but Nintendo screwed up and had him die instead. Four Swords Adventures -The Dark World seen in FSA is some kind of Makai spread by Ganon, though it shares some features with the Dark World of ALttP and was probably meant to be the same place before Miyamoto "upended the teatable" for FSA's production. -Ganondorf was reincarnated; the Gerudo King was not a random male with the same name as Hyrule's antagonist of old. Aonuma even said that it's the same Ganondorf in every game in an interview. The Gerudo in FSA also say that Ganondorf became more and more evil with each year for no reason at all. -Thanks to numerous translations that I have found (mainly on Legends Alliance), the Trident is not actually a vessel; it is referred to as a tool, such as a sword or a gun. The Trident doesn't house the spirit of Ganon; it merely empowers Ganondorf once he obtains it. Ganondorf becomes known as Ganon in the same way that Ganondorf became known as Ganon after transforming in Ocarina of Time. Even if the Trident was a vessel, it could easily just be a vessel for dark power, like how the Master Sword holds demon-smiting power or how the Bombos Medallion blows stuff up. -The furigana for Ja-Ki is not a pun. It's just being grammatical, and if by some freakish chance it is meant to be a pun, it's probably a pun on noxious gas. This is due to the facts that Ganon spreads his Makai through some type of gas, transforms into some type of gas, has noxious effects on Zelda, and some of his moves in the final fight appear to be rather gaseous all throughout FSA. Oracles -I'm inclined to believe that, if the Twinrova sisters had perished, nobody would bother to revive them. Ganon's minions would likely just try to revive him, and unlike Ganon the Twinrova sisters do not seem capable of being reincarnated. Because of this, there's a good chance that the Oracle games might be on the Child Timeline, in addition to my aforementioned comments on TWW. -Because Nintendo has a habit of using the form of a word that sounds more important and interesting, Zelda was in fact the intended yorishiro despite technically being a yorimashi. Also, it seems as though Zelda's corpse would be the specific yorishiro, so the term yorishiro still makes sense. I've also heard that, in Japanese tales featuring yorishiro of this sort, villains commonly refer to people as yorishiro to show that they don't value life or something like that. -The three flames were supposed to guide Ganon into the world, not the Trident. Incidentally, Zelda was placed in the center of the flames as though she were a bulls-eye. -The altar Zelda was placed on may have been a butsudan (an altar used for communing with the dead), though this is just a random idea that I got. -The trident was not the vessel for Ganon's soul. The combined Twinrova turns herself into said vessel, which is obvious due to the fact that she becomes blue fire that then becomes Ganon. Alternatively, as shown in OoT and MM, ghosts usually take the form of fire with gaps in the flames to function as eyes and possibly a mouth. Sharp and Flat, authentic ghosts, were like this as well. Because the blue flame is roughly the size of Ganon, in the spot that he will appear in, is the same color of his skin and clothing, and condenses into a ball before becoming Ganon, the blue flame may have actually been Ganon's spirit. Thus, he was definitely not called into a trident. -Because Twinrova's goal was to bring Ganon back from the dead, placing him in a body would be the most reasonable way of doing things. He'd be fully capable of leading his minions, and he'd truly be alive again. The fact that the sacrifice would (apparently) become a perfect body for him only reinforces this. Alternatively, his spirit would create a body for itself. -The OoX trident is actually something that Ganon himself summons, and it has no importance; it's just an accessory that he doesn't even carry around with him. It's possible to never even see it in the fight, he doesn't appear with it, and he doesn't have it when he dies. Timeline -I don't really have a timeline, and I think that any attempt to connect all of the games will encounter problems and ultimately fail. Misc. -Nintendo doesn't really care about the timeline. Miyamoto even said so in a 2003 interview. Quote:

-Nintendo also isn't afraid of retcons, as you can tell from the IW. They first made it simply as ALttP's backstory, then tried to make it OoT. Nintendo later destroyed the OoT-IW connection with TWW, and finally tried to make FSA be the IW. Any of these games, or potentially the IW itself, could retconned away with time. If Nintendo wants a game badly enough, they'll make it. -Nintendo will also probably never answer things such as the appearance of the Light Arrows and the vanishing of the Silver Arrows. -In the early days of Zelda, things seemed to be more influenced by folklore, such as silver being an effective weapon against demons. However, by Ocarina of Time, Nintendo decided to take the series in a more fantasy-based direction. Thus, the Silver Arrows (effective against demons) became the Light Arrows (effective against darkness/evil). -In addition to the above, since Link was predominantly a swordsman and the Master Sword had already been given importance and a reputation in A Link to the Past, Nintendo decided to change it into the key weapon for defeating evil. -Ganon died in the first Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past mainly because Nintendo didn't care much for connecting games back then. It's just like Bowser falling into a pit of lava and being left to melt in the old Mario games. -Ganondorf and Ganon are the same person, and have always been the same person. -The Silver Arrows don't destroy Ganon's soul; nothing does. -If the Imprisoning War had to go anywhere, I'd say that it would go between FSA and ALTTP. Ganon is put in the Sacred Realm, breaks free of the Four Sword, and touches the Triforce. Monsters either wander into Hyrule or are purposely sent there. The king has the Sages (descendants of the FSA maidens) seal the passageway as a safety precaution. -Sound & Drama is not canon, and neither is Ancient Stone Tablets. That's it.

I'll post just a profile for now. Later i post my views...
Theorist Profile: Smertios (real name not important) History: I started theorizing back in 2005 when i joined ZU. Back then we used to theorize in the General Zelda forum. I left in the middle of 2006 but came back a few weeks after the Theorizing forum was created, just in the middle of the Theorizing Wars. I didn't post much there (a lot of useless threads back then ), so i waited a while and came back later and am here till now.Timeline: ...../-TWW/PH-TMC-FS/FSA-LttP/LA-OoX-LoZ/AoL OoT .....\MM-TP Awards: lol. Who, in a sane condition, would give me any awards? ![]() Threads, Articles and Theories: Too tired to look for the. If you stay here long enough you'll find out by yourself ![]() (this is kind of a waste of time. who will read these profiles? ) |

Re: Theorists of ZU
Alright, I just made it on to the first page!
History Back in november 2006 Pinecove joined Zelda theorizing, in the time of the split wars. Feirce battles raged between the linearists and splittists of ZU, however since Pinecove wasn't familiar with the split timeline he joined the linearists in the time of their conquest. OoT/MM-TP-TWW/PH-ALttP-OoS/OoA/LA-TMC-FS/FSA-LoZ/AoL, was the timeline that Pinecove joined with. Eventually he became enlightened by the group who called themselves the UWM and came up with the timeline of: OoT/MM-TP-TWW/PH-TMC-FS/FSA-ALttP/LA-OoS/OoA-LoZ/AoL. Eventually OoX was moved to after AoL, but that's a different story... Over the coarse of history, Pinecove became a well know theorist who at some points could get a little ot headed. However he was still well loved. The time came to pass when the split timeline was confimed. This devastated Pinecove and the entire theorizing comunity, however tme moved on and Pinecove moved on from where he was before exept with ALttP and the majority of the games in the child timeline. Eventually the bombers were formed at ZU, and that struck the fall of the UWM. The iron fist that had ruled ZU for so long crumbled and the world was at peace...well not really. The fall of the UWM stopped theorizin from happening much. Pinecove along with a few other rebels still around in theorizing began to theorize again and ZU was saved..... sadly the people who started imigrating to ZU were noobs and Pinecove caught what theorists call "the sudden sickness", the desire to not theorize that much anymore struck Pinecove and he was not to be seen again for 8 months....... When Pinecove returned to ZU, he was esentially a newb. All his friends from theorzing were gone and ontop of all of that he somehow had come up with the craptacular theory of LoZ/AoL-OoT-TWW/PH LoZ/AoL-OoT/MM-TP-TMC-FS/FSA-OoS/OoA/LA-ALttP Skylark, and Majoraman were quick to be on the scene and Pinecove was converted to the senario of OoT/MM-TP OoT-WW/PH-LoZ/AoL-OoX-TMC-FS/FSA-ALttP/LA Over the coarse of the past 5 or so months on theorizing, Pinecove has changed his veiws dramaticly. He has changed timelines around alot but the one he currently resides on is /TWW/PH-TBF-FPTRRL-AoLBS-LoZ/AoL-OoS/OoA-TMC-FS/FSA-ALttP/LA OoT \MM-TP/LCT with OoT being the SW. Pinecove continues to seek out the truth even today, with his best friend on ZU, Ollathir. Awards -Best theorist Fall 2007 -Most knowlegable of Zelda Fall 2007 Articles and theories I have them. I just need to copy and paste them which could take awhile... Zelda games beaten 100% OoT MM TP TWW PH TMC FS FSA ALttP LoZ *note* When I say 100% I mean everything. A good example of this is in TWW. I have beaten all the giant octopie, have all the figurines, beaten all the platforms, submarines, light rings and even gotten the tinle trophies. 100% Even includes treasure chests inside caverns and dungeons. EVERYTHING. Period. other note: Strangely enough I've never died in a Zelda game. My death record is always Zero exept in AoL where presently it is 6. Zeldas working on OoS-beating 100% OoA-beaing 100% LA-need to buy AoL-Working on. It's hard. Pinecove's personal veiws on points of controversy Last updated: April 11 2009 Legend of Zelda -Ganon does not weild the Trident as proved by the rerealease of Legend of Zelda on the GBA in 2004. -The Magical Sword is not the Master Sword as proved by the rerealease of Legend of Zelda on the GBA in 2004. -People are living in caves because Ganon took over, not because Hyrule is re-forming. The Adventure of Link -Legend of Zelda Hyrule, as stated in its manual, is a "little kingdom" in the Hyrule region. Adventure of Link Hyrule is the region, with Legend of Zelda Hyrule being the small southwest portion. -Maze Island is the same place as the one from Phantom Hourglass cobined with the isle of ruins. -The Adventure of Link regions are in the eastern and north-eastern seas in Phantom Hourglass. Goron island from Phantom hourglass is Goron mountain from Oracle of seasons. A Link to the Past -The GBA version, and the changes made in it, are more canon than the SNES version. -The lumberjacks are another form taken on by the Kokiri. -Agahnim was an ideal target for Ganon, as he was an evil priest. -When Agahnim died, Ganon's soul-split left his body and returned to Ganon. -The Palace of the Four Sword is canon. -The Dark world was completely obliterated by Ganon's own creations at the end of the game as shown from the palace of the four sword ending. -The Master sword quote is completely valid. -The golden sword and the Master sword are two seperate things. -The Golden sword was the sword put to rest at the end of the game that is later used in Ancient stone tablets. -The Master sword itself lies at the bottomof the great fairy fountain to sleep forever. Link's Awakening -The Wind Fish is a descendant of, and/or the same type of spiritual being as the Ocean King of Phantom Hourglass but has no relation to Jabu-Jabu from Ocarina of time, or Jabun from The Wind Waker. Ocarina of Time -Sharp and Flat were Hylian and not sheikah as they have the Triforce on their graves. -The Sheikah used Gossip stones to spy on the various races of Hyrule. -Malon's mother was not a Gerudo. -The Desert Colossus is not representing Din. -Kaepora Gaebora is Rauru. -During the seven years Link was asleep, Ganon killed the other five Ancient Sages. -During the seven years Link was asleep, Ganon killed the Hylian Knights. -Link was sent back to a time after he'd pulled the Master sword but before he met Zelda. -The Ancient Sages, with the exception of Rauru, are no longer alive but have new incarnations, the Ocarina of Time sages. -Link became the Hero's shade from Twilight Princess. -The song of storms paradox can be explained by the multiple concepts of time. Majora's Mask -Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule. -Skull Kid is the same one who you play Saria's Song for, and sell a mask to, in Ocarina of Time. -The Stone Tower was not flipped by divine intervention, and in all actuallity, there was no intervention by the Goddesses whatsoever. -The Garos brought the Light Arrows with the intention of flipping the Stone Tower. -Majora and Great diety are both evil spirits sealed in masks. - The Skull kid and the happy mask salesman are counterparts to eachother. -There was a great war in Ikana. -Majora is the devil of Termina. Oracle of Seasons/Ages-The games can be played in either order without major effects to the storyling, but Seasons-Ages is the more canon order. -The Master Sword is Canon. -Onox and Veran are Twili. -Jabu Jabu is a descendent of Ocarina of Time's Jabu Jabu, and/or Wind Waker's Jabun. -The linked game and ending are canon. -The Triforce may return to the Sacred Realm at the end of the linked game, but it may also have remained in the castle. -The time traveling in Oracle of ages can be explaned using the concept of multiple times. The Wind Waker -Prior to Wind Waker, Ganon escaped the Sacred Realm Seal without breaking it. -Ganon escaped the Sacred relam in the same way he escaped the flood seal. -The rito are only half Zora. -The plan of the Deku Tree and the Koroks to create more land with their seeds is a legitimate plot element for the rest of the series. -The Ganon in The Wind waker is only one half of the bushin he made to escape the seal. The other half apears in the original Legend of Zelda. -The Tower of the gods was made by the Ooocca like Twilight princess's Temple of time. Four Swords Adventures -The Dark Mirror is the Mirror of Twilight, but on a different timeline. -The Dark World of Four Swords Adventures is not the corrupted Sacred Realm like in A Link to the Past, but instead, the Twilight Curtain. -Din, Nayru, and Farore are not cameos, but direct descendants of those with the same names in the Oracle games, and therefore, valid timeline indicators. -Vaati does not die at the end of the game. -Mount Crenel consits of both peaks for death mountain. -Veil falls is not the second peak of death mountain. Twilight Princess -Geography differences from Ocarina of Time are mostly due to retcon. -The Temple of Time is the same one from Ocarina of Time. -Ganondorf and Zant became soulbound to each other. -Zants refusal to be revived led to Ganondorf's demise. -Ganon is not alive in spirit as he was not exposed fully to the Triforce of Power as in Ocarina of Time. -The state of the Triforce of Power in the ending is unknown. -The Hero's shade is Link from Ocarina of Time. -The Kokiri turned into the monkeys. Phantom Hourglass -The Realm of the Ocean King is an extension of the Great Sea. -Similarily to the Wind Fish's ability to create things in a physical world by dreaming, the Ocean King has the power to change/warp a physical things in the physical world to the point of it being nearly another universe, though dreams are not required. -The six sages that have graves in Phantom Hourglass are the Sages from Ocarina of Time, barring Zelda. -The fact that Link and Zelda were only gone for 10 minutes is explained by the fact that Link retains the [now empty] Phantom Hourglass: They were returned to their world and time by the power of the Ocean King and the Phantom Hourglass. -The islands of Phantom Hourglass, with the help of the Koroks, eventually become the basis of the Hyrule seen in The Adventure of Link. Spirit Tracks Pending on release date. Non-Game Specific Topics The Fierce, Prolonged Wars -The bloodshed amongst the people spoken about in A Link to the Past and Twilight Princess are the same set of events. -The Shadow Temple and the bottom of the well show that the Sheikah had ways of dealing with any who were not loyal to the Royal Family. -"When Hyrule was one country" refers to the time period of The minish cap and every other game before LoZ when Hyrule no longer became one country. -The King had the complete Triforce. -The Sleeping Zelda incident and the hiding of the Triforce of Courage are in a chronologically close proximity. -Zelda's title of "first generation/founder" refers to her as being the first Zelda in the New Hyrule. -The secret that the Princess knew was the location of the Triforce of Courage. -The writer of the scroll is the King. -The Hero of Men is Switchblade I. -The Picori Blade is not the Master Sword or any other previously seen sword. -The Light Force is not a piece of the Triforce. -The light force is the life force of the godesses. -The minish cap's backstory takes place during the oracle games. -Ganon was removed from the GBA telling of the Seal War, because the Ganon involved in the Seal War [Ocarina of Time Ganon] is no lnoger living. -Though Four Swords Adventures, and the events which inevitably follow it, set the stage for A Link to the Past, it is in no way part of, or related to, the Seal War. -All in-game references to Ganon in A Link to the Past are describing the current Ganon, Four Swords Adventures Ganon, and not Seal War Ganon. -As indicated by the Swamp Maiden, some time in between Four Swords Adventures and A Link to the Past, Ganon entered the Sacred Realm and could not find a way back out. This event is indepent of the Seal War, and takes place long after the Seal War. Ganon could not find a way out, because the Seal still remained in tact. The Trident -Even if Ganon wields the Trident in Legend of Zelda, he was not soul-bound to it. -During the Oracles linked ending, Twinrova puts Ganon's soul into the Trident. -Once it harbors Ganon's soul, the Trident has the power to turn anyone who wields it into The King of Darkness. -The Four Swords Adventures Trident inscription [in Japanese], "Wielder of the Trident, the evil [ja-ki] of the demon resurrected from ancient times" indicates that the Trident was previously owned by the Ganon from the Oracles. -While "ja-ki" can mean "device/weapon", it can also mean "vessel", and in light of the Oracle's linked ending, "vessel" appears to be the appropriate translation. -Four Swords Adventures Ganondorf takes the Trident, takes on Ganon's soul, and becomes The King of Darkness. -In A Link to the past, Ganon's soul is not inside the Trident. -Ganon is only a Yami no maou when holding the Trident. Ganon's Title -Ganon's different titles in the games have significance. -All of the games in which Ganon bears the Japanese title "Daimaou", or "Great Demon King", must be connected, as that is a specific title which holds certain qualifications. -Any game featuring Daimaou Ganon must take place during a time when the Sacred Realm, or some other specifically named territory, has become Ganon's "Makai", or "Demon World" [Dark World in the English]. -The games in which Gaon bears the Japanese title "Yami no Maou", or "Demon King of Darkness", are connected, and cannot come inbetween games in which he his called "Daimaou". -The Oracle games represent a transition phase with the sealing of Daimaou Ganon's spirit in the Trident [see earlier Trident section], and Ganon's proclomation that he is the "Demon King of Darkness". -The earlier use of "Jaaki no ou" in A Link to the Past is now "Yami no maou" and hence Ocarina of time can not directly connect to A Link to the past. Force -There is no real difference in "life force, "force gems", and "the Light Force", as all are the exact same word in Japanese. -Tears of Light from Twilight Princess are/function the same as force gems from Four Swords Adventures. -The essences of time and nature from the oracle games are examples of force. -Everything and everyone in the Zelda universe has a force. Spinoffs -Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland is canon as it explains the origins of Tingle and has timeline implications. [see Timeline for further explanation] -Ancient stone tablets may or may not be Canon. I'm in the process of figuring this out right now. -BS: Legend of Zelda is Canon only if Ancient stone tablets is. Timeline-Ocarina of Time causes a timeline split, with games coming after both of its endings. These two timelines are called the "Adult Timeline" and the "Child Timeline". -The time period when Hyrule was "a beautiful land surrounded by forests and mountains" references the age of Ocarina of Time. -This makes any game with a water and/or island-based Hyrule impossible to place on the Child Timeline unless geo is considered non canon. -Ocarina of Time is the Seal War in its entirety [as stated before] plus some other stuff with the building of the Temple of time. -Minish Cap, Four Swords Adventures, and A Link to the Past show a progression from the watery islands of Hyrule to a single, solid island, via Deku Tree's success. -Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, featuring a Hyrule made up of several "continents", indicates Deku Tree's success. -Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland's inclusion of places with familiar names [Lon Lon Meadows, Mountain of Death] shows that areas previously only in a "dry" Hyrule can exist post-flood. -The inclusion of Subrosians in Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, the library books and Oracles of Minish Cap, and the Trident inscription of Four Swords Adventures, all point to an early post-flood placement of the Oracles. -The Oracle of Ages past section of the game takes place after Wind Waker. -Link's Awakening is either after A Link to the Past or the oracle games. This will be determined if Ancient stone tablets is Canon. -Sheild design can not affect the Timeline. -Art design can not affect the timeline -If going by the second timeline the Seal war is the entire backstory to Twilight Princess, plus the building of the temple of time. -If going by the second timeline Ganon is only a Yami no maou while weilding the Trident. -If going by the second timeline the royal family gains possesion of the Triforce in the ending of Twilight Princess. -If going by the Second timeline Sound and Drama is Canon. -If going by the Second timeline the Royal family has possesion of the Triforce in Four sword adventures. Pinecove's current timeline(s) ......................Great flood-TWW/PH-TBF-FPTRRL-AoLBS-LoZ/AoL-OoS/OoA-TMC-FS/FSA-ALttP/LA ...................../ Great war-OoT ......................\ .......................MM-TP or ...............................Great flood-TWW/PH .............................../ TMC-Great war-OoT ...............................\ ..............................MM-TP-FS/FSA-ALttP/LA-LoZ/AoL-OoS/OoA Misc -Light Arrows are not the same as Silver Arrows. -The sliver arrowsonly destroy Ganon's body. This is shown in the Japenese A Link to the past. -The Godesses can reperesent multiple elements and multiple elements can be represented by the Godesses. -Time is represented by all three of the golden goddesses. -Official art is Canon unless negated by some other source. -The Happy mask salesman is the devil of Hyrule

Re: Theorists of ZU
Whoa, I could have sworn that I posted mine here. Oh well.
Bio: I started because I wanted to post my MM theory on Majora's origins, only for it to be turned down twice. I have been working on it again, but I got lazy. Maybe I'll pick it up again. ^_^;; I really like Majora's Mask (The game) for it's darkness and because it acts less like a video game, and more like an actual world. Every single person in the game has a story that you can explore, they all have lives, and besides that, I love it's general theme. I spent most of my time on the first playthrough going around and around trying to figure out how to get back the Ocarina, as I wasn't used to having to use my common sense on a game. Therefore, I got a real close look at the game beforehand, an advantage to me, because I got used to looking at all these people I felt like I knew personally, but never really got to know that well. That makes finding out their stories that much sweeter, because you finally know. I noticed during this time it's amazing overall theme. The old Cherokee saying goes, "Woe is he who looks too deep into things, when in fact, the best part about it is enjoying the larger picture." In other words, most people like getting really deep into MM, which is great, that's one of the best parts, but they look at the little things so much that they forget to enjoy it as a whole. They forget to notice the big things too. Like the great music, the interesting general theme of the game, and it's unique "feel", of authenticity, wholesomeness, the feel that makes you think it's filled up the whole cart, and most of all, it's mysterious atmosphere. That's what inspired me to come, the mysterious atmosphere, the hidden meanings of MM, that makes you think that there's something that you forgot. Something you always wondered about from the beginning, but the storyline has hazed your mind, and you can never remember just what it was you wanted to know. And I'm sure many of the people that theorize MM with me also know this feeling. My timeline: .................................................. ......TWW/PH .................................................. ..../ TMC(Minish Legends)/FPTRR/OoT .................................................. ....\ .................................................. .....MM/TP/ALttP/TMC/FS-FSA/AST/LA/LoZ/AoL/OoX I saw this one and it made the most sense, so there. I also added a bit of my own. I have a sort of short one compared to the rest, as I like to keep most of my opinions to myself. I have had a lot of trouble from sharing my opinions, if you know what I mean, so I mostly just comment vaguely or offer my take/vague opinion, which, if you look at it, always just says "maybe yes" or "maybe no, but it' has credibility." Rarely do I have a solid "No."

Re: Theorists of ZU
Ok, i think i'm ready to finally post here now........
Name: Mr_Zora_Decu My Zelda Beliefs: tWW- Rito DID come from Zoras........the secret is the mountain and Valoo's scale. (Now a Fact )Seal War: The backstory of Alttp refers to the Imprisoning of Ganondorf for his execution. Sages spoken in the back story are the same sages that are seen in TP. "Ganondorf's seal" was actually him being sent to the Twilight Realm. Timeline: -------------tWW/PH-ST-LoZ-AoL-TMC-FS-FSA -ZW-OoT< -------------MM-TP-AlttP/LA Oox does not have a place in my timeline (yet), too many problems arise. Zelda Games I've played: tMC- Completed OoT- Completed MM- completed TP- Completed Alttp: saved two maidens (Working on it)LoZ- Completed tWW- Completed PH- Completed ST- Wating for December 7th/09, will play through it and do a (second playthrough) timeline analysis of it before march 2010. FS-looking to buy. FSA- looking to buy it soon...waiting for a used/new version in some store. Oox- Looking to buy. LA- looking to buy. AoL- need points card ![]() Theories( The serious ones...): -The dominance of the "Gerudo Genes" is due to the desert......The longer a gerudo stays outside the desert, the less "gerudo" they become ( descendants). -Theory on TMC and tWW (I no longer hold this belief) - Analysis of time between OoT and ST

Eventually, Tuf Pic was banned from the Theorizing Section. Now what to do? The Janitor left for about a month and has now returned to find his beloved ZU clogged up with Tuf Pic like NEW PEOPLE. And what do janitors do to clogs? BRING ME MY PLUNGER. Re: Theorists of ZU
Ok, I am new to ZU, but not new to the concept of theorizing, I just haven't had a place to post my ideas.
I consider myself a new theorist in terms of idea acceptance. I try to stay open to the idea of being wrong, and I also try to use others' mistakes and failures to bring new ideas to the field of Hyrule. I have seen a lot of what I call "tube theorists" (theorists who look through tubes and ignore others' opinions) and have seen them fail miserably in their stubbornness. I will attempt to avoid this myself. In any case, my ideas for a time-line are fairly simple. I do think there is a split time-line, but I think the adult time-line mangles the plot beyond repair. I ignore it most of the time, and as such try to avoid discussing it, as it is not my preferred time-line and am not that well schooled in it, as i am some of the others. So here it is: tWW->PH / OoT \ LoZ->AoL->Oox->LA->aLttP I do acknowledge the "Four Story" (FS/FSA and tMC), but again, due to the storyline difference, I tend to leave them out. If I had to place them, I would place them after tWW and it's sequel, due to the map similarities. If you'll notice, my time-line has striking similarities to the Miyamoto time-line. I'm currently listening to a remix of the stone tower BGM. Good times, good times...
