History

While I've been a registered user since 2003, I didn't start posting until yesterday (like, six years later--I'm old, I know). I used to write articles for Land of the Legend (which no longer exists) on different theories, characters, and controversial issues (like whether a fourth piece of the Triforce exists or not).

What I love to do is analyze the layouts, architecture, artwork, and characters of the games (especially artwork and architecture, given my art and art history backgrounds) and try to make connections between the games through that or try to discover something new and interesting. I especially love doing this in the 3D games (most notably Twilight Princess). I usually do sketches in my sketchbook of what I see if it's important (since I can't take screenshots of what I see).

I didn't even really know the Zelda series existed until around 1999 when I got Super Smash Bros. for the N64 when I was 13. I liked playing as Link, and when I looked at his profile, I saw he had a game for the N64. I rented it, and I became hooked. Within a year, I bought every single Zelda game that existed up until that point and reserved my copy of Majora's Mask. Within a couple of years, I beat every game, though I've recently started replaying the older ones. It's actually the Legend of Zelda series that wanted me to get into game design, though within the past month, due to my current job, my career path changed to wanting to do research for art museums, as I plan on starting to go for my masters degree in art history over a year from now.

I hope to get my past articles posted here sometime soon, though the bulk of them won't be up until after the beginning of May due to preparing for graduation. I want to write some new ones, too, but again, I have to wait until after graduation due to time constraints.

By the way, if anyone hasn't read "Zelda and Philosophy" at all, I highly suggest you do--it's helped me analyze things better and I've learned more about philosophy in this book than I have in a gen-ed college course.

I also enjoy long walks on the beach and moonlit snipings of Bokoblins.

I began reading the theorizing section upon discovering ZU sometime in 2005/2006. I instantly became intrigued with the theories around here (ignoring the split vs. linear debates *shrug*) and decided to join in once I got around to joining this site. Theorist Profile- Mask of Majora

History
I joined sometime in 2009 because I heard about this place on the Zelda Wiki. I picked my name because I wanted it to do with Majora's Mask. It suggested "Mask of Majora. I instantly thought it was ridiculous, so I chose it immediately. I was trying with all my might to assemble some kind of story to link together all the theories on Majora's origins, as they have been developed, but haven't been put together in one article. I saw Hylian Dan's "Message of Majora's Mask", and that inspired me to actually put it up. After two battles with my so called "fan-fiction", I still haven't made it perfect just yet. I have recently taken a breakn as not to burn myself out, and I'm just exploring the site... for now.

Timeline

I have no idea why, but I chose this one because it was the only one that made sense to me. TMC does NOT come before OoT. That's just common sense!
